Was on antibiotics for nearly 4 months and did not improve, was in pain and exhausted my sick leave. Finally got imaging done and never heard back from doc after many follow up calls. Called them and they said they "didn't have a copy of results" even though I had received them a week prior. Kept calling and 3 weeks later a random person said "looks good" and I said I wanted the doctor to interpret it because I'm still not okay. She said well "she's busy can she leave you a voicemail?" Are you kidding me?! Never received a call or voicemail. Incompetent, no follow-up. I feel silly for not having moved to a different doc sooner, but I wanted the consistency since she did my surgery. Do not compromise your health at this place.

I sat in the lobby for maybe ten minutes when I was asked by the same lady to wait in my car because there was a patient that wanted to sit in the lobby for her appointment. I obliged because of Covid restrictions I imagined the office had. When I returned for my appointment, the lobby had two people waiting! I was very annoyed but sat and waited my turn. Then the receptionist remembers last minute that I did have some paperwork to fill up! When I left it took the office two weeks to find if my insurance covered my procedure! I don't plan to return. The receptionist is not just rude, she's also lazy and incompetent.

She never went deeper... I prefer to not have foreign objects in my body so when I opted to have it removed for my menstrual issues, she LAUGHED in my face and said "good luck!" As in, "I know you'll fail!" Well, I didn't fail. I went to my Naturopath and she gave me a massive blood test revealing extremely low progesterone (causing major inflammation) among many other deficiencies (easy to find online after some time and research on my end as well...). My Naturopath then offered several suggestions in terms of herbs, vitamins and nutritional remedies. I can confidently say my Naturopath was on my side, helping me dig deeper. Dr. Pendergrass was more interested in trying to put a Band-Aid remedy on my inflammation that would only help her pay her bills. I actually don't fault her too much for this, as this is what you get from most Med schools -- cover it up until something else happens and then prescribe more pills or intervention until it all spirals out of control and your hormones are out of whack the rest of your life or you opt to get a hysterectomy... because, what other options are there that far down the rabbit hole? I haven't been back to Dr. Pendergrass and am so thankful I listened to my gut. Modern medicine has its benefits, don't get me wrong. I like her as a person... she's sweet and kind. But when it comes to women's hormones -- don't just listen to one doctor.

If you are looking for a physician who will listen to you, advocate for you, and take your pain seriously, I strongly recommend Dr. Pendergrass. I felt respected and heard throughout all my interactions with her. I had been living with bad period pain and was diagnosed with fibroids by a different doctor who referred me to her, but I figured that excruciating monthly pain was just the price of having a uterus and I should just live with it. During our first consultation Dr. Pendergrass encouraged me to not downplay the pain I was in and gave me facts and information that helped me decide to go forward with the hysterectomy, which was an option I hadn't even considered before talking to her. When I had concerns up until the morning of surgery, she took the time to discuss and answer my questions fully. The surgery went extremely smoothly, and the post-op pain at its worst was less than half of what I had previously experienced every month. Dr. Pendergrass responded very quickly to all of my questions through the patient app both before and after surgery. She is honest, funny, she listened to me, and and she introduced me to treatment options I didn't know were available to me. My life is so much better and wish I would have seen her years ago!

My surgery went perfectly, and I can honestly say she has saved my quality of life. I feel so much happier, and I sincerely hope she receives back every bit of goodness she puts into the world. I was very scared of having a hysterectomy, even though I knew it was necessary, but she made the entire process smooth and reassuring. Even the hospital, Meridian Park, was wonderful--the staff was kind, attentive, and it was by far the best hospital experience I've ever had (they even numbed my hand before placing an IV!). I feel truly grateful for the way I've been treated since moving to Oregon and finding care here. I will not go anywhere else for my women's healthcare. Highly recommend!

I say this because Dr Zaander is hands down the best OB/GYN I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by (you heard me right, ladies... I said pleasure). This is because while the majority of us normally dread this type of annual visit, Dr Z makes it more than simply bearable... instead it feels like coming home each time to talk to a really good friend. Someone who you know beyond a shadow of a doubt will always have your back and your best interests at heart. So then what could possibly have made it so "bittersweet", you might ask?... Well, my health insurance just changed and unfortunately she is no longer covered by my new policy. So even though I've finally found the one doctor I feel the most comfortable with, it appears that I might have to switch to someone completely new, all over insurance and cost. If so, that would make this my last visit... and there in lies the bittersweet-ness. Now don't get me wrong... Dr Zaander and her team are amazing enough that if I can find a way to afford to continue to go there in spite of my lack of insurance coverage, I most certainly will. They truly are THAT GOOD. :) So whether this was in fact my final visit, or I continue to be seen here for many years to come, I want to personally send a BIG thank you to Dr Zaander and the entire staff at Lake Oswego GYN for taking such excellent care of me for all these years. It means more than you could possibly know, and I will continue to hold you in the highest regard and recommend you and your services to anyone in need. Bottom Line: A++ , 5 stars!!

The appointments with OB's can last anywhere from 5-15 minutes and you get basic attention and a fat bill afterwards. They also will charge you even if the doctor comes in to say "have any questions?" Wash their hands, type a few notes and say goodbye. I received my bill after only being "seen" three times but the last 5 minute visit bumped me into their "group of 4-6 visits" where they billed me for even more than what I was seen for. Don't go to this clinic, look at all of your options of what is going to give you the most support for your pregnancy. A birthing center give you a full hour of attention, love and support that an expecting mother deserves. The clinic is ruthless for bills and making money only. Their intentions are not to make you feel well cared for. At the end of the day, they are a money making machine with below average attention to their patients.

Being my first pregnancy, she took the time to answer all my questions that came up during pregnancy and I was able to get in quickly to see her when I had a concern in my last trimester. I understood the different roles of a doula vs. OB and Dr. Pew took the time to listen to me and talk with me about different options and her recommendations. Sadly Dr. Pew wasn't available for my birth, but I still had a positive (unmedicated) birth experience with Dr. Stewart on her team.
