STAY AWAY. Worst Gyn experience I've had over the course of FIVE months because they don't care and are incompetent. Was on antibiotics for nearly 4 months and did not improve, was in pain and exhausted my sick leave. Finally got imaging done and never heard back from doc after many follow up calls. Called them and they said they "didn't have a copy of results" even though I had received them a week prior. Kept calling and 3 weeks later a random person said "looks good" and I said I wanted the doctor to interpret it because I'm still not okay. She said well "she's busy can she leave you a voicemail?" Are you kidding me?! Never received a call or voicemail. Incompetent, no follow-up. I feel silly for not having moved to a different doc sooner, but I wanted the consistency since she did my surgery. Do not compromise your health at this place. read more

I showed up to my appointment an hour early in case I had to fill any paperwork and asked if it was ok for me to wait in the lobby. The receptionist an older lady said it was ok . I sat in the lobby for maybe ten minutes when I was asked by the same lady to wait in my car because there was a patient that wanted to sit in the lobby for her appointment. I obliged because of Covid restrictions I imagined the office had. When I returned for my appointment, the lobby had two people waiting! I was very annoyed but sat and waited my turn. Then the receptionist remembers last minute that I did have some paperwork to fill up! When I left it took the office two weeks to find if my insurance covered my procedure! I don't plan to return. The receptionist is not just rude, she's also lazy and incompetent. read more

I went in for a very personal surgery exam/consult and came out literally crying with tears of joy and relief. Haven't undergone the surgery yet( scheduled next month) but Dr. Salisbury and her team made me feel like I was the most important person in the room. I finally felt heard after years of going to other OBGYNs that eventually just tell me there isnt anything they can do or that my concerns arnt important to my quality of life, and to just learn to live with it. throughout the appointment start to finish, I was comfortable with check in process, the quick turn around and the amount of privacy. Surprisingly similar experience to Meg C. I had my first implant here and experienced numerous issues along with poor follow-up. Dr. Salisbury (and her staff since she cancelled 4 appts during her clinical trials) kept trying to encourage me not to get the implant removed and suggested that I just add a pill on top of it to stop the bleeding. I bled for 5 months straight and had constant side effects. Each request to remove was met with "it will get better". It never did. I eventually paid to have it removed (another $1100 insurance bill) at another practice because it was such a challenging experience. I felt unheard and dismissed during my visits and phone calls. I often left 2 -3 messages before receiving a response. Avoid this practice. read more

I suffer with endometriosis and Dr.Salisbury has been so caring and helpful throughout the years! She also did a laparoscopic surgery on me and the recovery was very smooth. And in doing so, she has helped me through some pretty tough times. Dr Salisbury is known for being on the cutting edge and staying ahead of the pack. She has introduced me to new medications and treatments years before any of my friends doctors had even heard of them. She really knows her stuff and works hard to give her patients the best care possible. She explains thing in terms I understand and leave feeling like I have a game plan going forward. Overall this office offers a very professional experience, is great with reminders and follow-up, and very timely as far getting you in and out for your appointment quickly. The one issue I'd like to express - or maybe this is more of a question - is, WHY does a gynecologist feel it is appropriate to grill a woman on her choice of whether or not to have kids, just because she's of a certain age? I was in today for my exam and was not planning to bring up anything about kids or fertility (I'm 35, in a relationship and choosing not to pursue parenthood at this time for a variety of personal reasons), and the doctor took it upon herself to bring up the topic, and when I said kids are not on the radar, she practically tried to convince me otherwise. She even brought up insemination and foster babies as an option after I made my intentions clear that I am happy being child-free! Are you kidding me? Very uncomfortable and inappropriate, in my opinion. I feel that it should be up to patient to bring up this topic, since it is quite personal and touchy for a lot of people. I most likely won't be back. read more

Personally I've had a terrible experience here. I was trying to switch from the implant to something else I was treated very disrespectfully and was frustrated with both the appt. and acquiring my new birth control. I wanted to switch birth controls because on the implant I struggled a lot more with depression and anxiety and had frequent random bleeding so I wanted to get it removed. I was trying to explain the problems I was having and wanted to find a birth control that worked better for me. She kept trying to encourage me not to get the implant removed and suggested that I just add a pill on top of it to stop the bleeding. After telling her repeatedly that I wanted the implant out and didn't want to go back to the pill bc I'm bad at taking them everyday (which she would've known if she had taken the time to look at my chart) she kept trying to push me into getting a different pill and saying that I was older now so I'm responsible enough to take it everyday. Then when I was trying to ask about my other options she gave me one word answers not pertinent at all to the symptoms I was trying to alleviate. Also she never asked me if I was sexually active, but instead asked if I had a boyfriend and if I wanted an std screening which I found kind of strange. I eventually settled on the Nuva ring. Then when she left she made a rather inconsiderate comment about my mental health issues. When I tried to go to the pharmacy to pick it up I was told that I needed to contact my doctor because I wouldn't be able to pick it up for seven days because of the way the prescription was filled out and how my insurance worked. A couple days later I tried calling the office to get some answers and was told that a nurse would call me back and needless to say I never received a call back. I tried to pick up my prescription after seven days and was still unable to. After that I tried calling again explaining the issues I was having and was treated very rudely over the phone. The reason I still wasn't able to pick up my prescription was because my insurance wouldn't pay for me to get enough so that I wouldn't have to have my period. When I was talking over the phone a nurse actually overheard the conversation and said I could keep it in for 28 days which, while helpful, kind of felt like an invasion of my privacy. I was finally able to work it out with my insurance and the doctors office but I hated this experience. I understand that I'm not their only patient and my issues are pretty unimportant, but I'm just a young girl looking for some help and this was quite the opposite. This place seems incompetent and doesn't really care about patients with everyday problems. read more

The office didnt followup with the ins company after requesting prior auth for a major surgery. 14 days before scheduled surgery I called to ask question and they realized there was no Pre-Auth in the file. The office blamed the ins for sending the denial to a bad address. The dr failed to provide more medical info to ins for the appeal. She sent a sloppy hand written note with no Dx or Tx codes after saying she needed 2 days to write a detailed comprehensive appeal letter. Bottom line this office dropped the ball on the authorization for 4 months and I am left in pain. No one apologized for the error, no one called to keep me informed about the appeal process. My work schedule, husbands schedule, kids schedule, Christmas plans and my overall mental preparation for this surgery was all compromised by this office error. Not one apology was given. There is clearly an office management deficiency to schedule a surgery and then send the patient a surgery packet explaining date / hospital / preop procedures etc. How does an office not realize there is no insurance approval in the file for a 25,000 surgery? One word incompetency. read more

I am new to Lake Oswego and was looking for a new GYN. I found Dr. N via the Internet and had my first appointment with her this week. Well, I have never been treated with such respect! And at no time did I feel like I was wasting her or or staffs time. They answered all my questions in terms I could understand. I am 50 years old and have been experiencing some pretty severe signs of menopause. Dr. N and her nurse Paige were sympathetic and Dr. N explained treatment with varying options. Already I'm starting to feel like myself again. If you're looking for a new OB/GYN, I highly, highly recommend this wonderful woman. You will not regret it! read more

We, of course, are at different stages of our female life. she is caring, understanding, and comforting. Dr. Salisbury is able and has addressed all of our needs.
