Although it is fun, it is hard to wrestle the bucket back when you're trying to drive on to the next animals. These animal are big and they know that if your car window is up, they will walk on. If your window is down, they will stick their entire head in the window. They have over 500 animals including zebras, giraffes, buffalo, deer, pigs, llamas, and even have the very cute Scotch Highland cattle. The drive through part is not short and you have to drive slow because of the animals. It is worth the money. Fair warning, your car will get dirty. There is a farmhouse on the premises where they sell some desserts. We went during the fall and they had a small pumpkin patch and a stack of hay bales to climb on. We also had a nice little meal from their food tent. We will be back!

The manager came out and said not to talk to the employees like that. When I explained myself I said "I'm sorry. I was talking to my friend not her." And I thought it was cleared up because it was just a misunderstanding. Me and my friend got a chocolate milk shake and a blue raspberry ice cream cone and the ice cream cone tasted like it was just dyed blue. And when we got them we said thank you and the one lady said "Yeah" and the other said "mhm". Mind you we are a lot younger than the employees and we felt it was very rude of them.

I bought my ticket online about 6 months early for $54 but it's actually $50 if you pay cash when you arrive. I got there and the head lady said that my ticket was already scanned and to get in I would have to buy another ticket. That would be $100 for a one day bluegrass entry. After 1/2 hour of her saying that I had to have sent my ticket to somebody, which I didn't (that would be stupid and makes no sense) she finally let me in after making ne feel like I was a scumbag trying to cheat the system. I will NEVER buy a ticket ahead of time to the Mohican bluegrass festival. Note... I've never had problems with tickets at any other bluegrass festival.

We both are done with state parks. Mohican Wilderness is our go to campsite. Dont fight with packed loud state parks. Go here. Trust me. Want to crank your radio? You will get told to turn it down so it cant be heard off your site. *I* will be the person that reported you (after I told you once you are annoying me) Staffed really well Office staff was very accommodating and professional. Constantly doing maintenance on the property. (I hear chainsaws and lawnmowers far off in the distance!) Put your trash in bags by the roadway every hour they come by and take it. Spots are clean - Spacious - and did I mention quiet? For a campground with 250 sites they have 7 pump out stations. The pump out stations are setup great too. Didn't need to pull out the long hose. water pressure was VERY high which was great for back washing my black tank. Shower houses are pretty convenient Discount program for subsequent stays all the way to 30% off. No cellphone service We did the 5 mile Kayak trip on Monday and it was nice. Because of where our trip went it was clear of other people on the river. Everything they have is well maintained. From the Kubota/John Deere Zero turn mowers to the Ford Transit vans they use for the river trips. The whole place looks clean and inviting. Cons: No cellphone service. Wow the pit toilets are horrendous. I mean seriously. WOW. Dual seats? lol It is FAR from everything- This might be a Pro.

My daughter worked at the camp during the summer of 2026. During that time, I received reports that rodents were being trapped day after day in camp living areas and that more than twenty rodents had reportedly been captured over a period of days. Based on descriptions I received, I believe that many of the rodents appeared to be deer mice. I was concerned enough about the infestation that I personally paid for rodent traps to be purchased and delivered from a local Walmart to assist with the problem. Among the reports that particularly concerned me was an allegation that a counselor awoke during the night to find a mouse on their body while sleeping. I was also informed that rodents were being repeatedly trapped in cabins and residential facilities used by campers and staff. These reports suggest a problem extending beyond the occasional mouse that might be expected in a rural environment. My concern is not that wildlife exists in the woods. Campers expect to encounter nature. My concern is the possibility of ongoing rodent activity in places where children and staff sleep, store belongings, and spend substantial amounts of time. I am also concerned about the potential impact on sanitation and food safety if rodents are present in or near occupied facilities. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises avoiding exposure to rodents and their urine and feces. Rodent infestations can be associated with diseases such as leptospirosis, salmonellosis, and, in rare cases, hantavirus exposure linked to deer mice. Rodents can also carry ticks that may contribute to the spread of illnesses such as Lyme disease. I encourage parents to ask Pastor Joe Ottinger and camp leadership specific questions: * How many rodents have been trapped in camp buildings during the past 30 days? * In which cabins, staff housing units, or dining facilities have rodents been found? * Have any campers or staff reported rodents in sleeping quarters, and what actions were taken? * Have rodent droppings, urine, or nests been found in occupied buildings? * Has any food been discarded due to actual or suspected rodent contamination? * Has Knox Public Health been notified or conducted any recent inspection related to the reported rodent activity? * What specific steps have been taken to prevent rodents from entering cabins and other occupied facilities? Parents deserve clear answers so they can make informed decisions about their children's health and safety. Every family can decide for itself what level of risk it is comfortable accepting for its child. Given the rodent activity at Camp Mohaven and the need for ongoing trapping efforts, I believe parents should be provided with complete information about the conditions at camp and the steps being taken to address them. Transparency allows families to make informed decisions based on their own expectations regarding health and safety. When hundreds of children are attending camp throughout the summer, parents deserve clear communication about any significant health and safety concerns.

The yard decor and patio furniture were all fairly impressive. Some things were even Buckeyes themed! The leather goods were the other highlight. I thought the rucksacks were great and had me wishing I could take a hobbit adventure But, the highlight for my sister was a real/ nice belt that she is excited about. My highlight was the pecan turtle I had for dessert. It's a great spot in Amish country and the service was very pleasant.
