I'm extremely disappointed with this pediatric office. After declining vaccines at my child's 2-year appointment, we were informed the provider would no longer see our family as patients. Rather than having an open discussion about our concerns or respecting our right as parents to make informed medical decisions, the response was simply to drop us from the practice. Healthcare should involve partnership, education, and respect for patient autonomy. Instead, this experience felt dismissive and judgmental. Parents should be able to ask questions and make decisions for their children without feeling pressured or punished for their beliefs. Families deserve providers who are willing to communicate and support patients, even when perspectives differ. read more

We've been with LRHP for years after leaving a different pediatrician's office. I LOVE LRHP! We usually go to the Rockwall office because of location, but I noticed something on my son at 2:45pm that I wanted to have looked at ASAP, & the Forney location was able to get us in at 4:30pm the same day, less than 2 hours from calling! We saw Dr. Tomaj & really liked him - great bedside manner, addressed all of my concerns, & was thorough with follow up care recommendations & other information. Plus both locations have their offices decorated so fun! I recommend both locations for LRHP to everyone I can! read more

I recently switched pediatrician's and so far this place has been a million times better! They get you in the day that you call, unlike other places. Everyone is nice from the front desk to the Np, to the doctors. My son has been sick for a long time and it has been a nightmare!! This clinic has taken the time to run test and to try to figure out what's going on. I've had to call the nurses hotline the last three days and they have been so nice and helpful, never getting annoyed with me. I am beyond thankful for them actually caring about the kids as most places are just there for the check. read more

We have been seeing Dr. Miller for over a year now, and I can't speak more highly of him. He is attentive, understanding, patient, and happy to answer ALL of our questions. We have never felt rushed or like he was in a hurry to move on. He even responds to the messages sent over the online portal to the nurses. When we had a gap between insurance because of a job change and had a major health issue arise, Dr Miller even comped one of our visits because he knew we were paying out of pocket. My son has been a sickly little munchkin, and the nurses know us by name now. They are all super friendly and quick to get us in if we need a same day sick appointment. I am so glad I chose these guys to care for my son! read more

We have a copay that shows up late. Always, for 20 years always, the front desk says "just catch it at the next visit". I used to call when I'd get a bill and they would always say it was fine to just catch it at the next visit. So somewhere along the 20 year journey, I stopped worrying and just caught it at the next visit. In February I took my son in and in the way out was told to "just catch it at the next visit". Well. I guess my kids were too healthy for too long because when I had to take my daughter to the podiatrist for a bad sprain, I was told we had to reschedule because the pediatrician rejected the referral. When I called to ask why, they told me my account had been locked due to an extremely overdue balance. Now, I could understand if this was an accumulation of non payments but it was one co-pay where I am always told to "just catch it at the next visit" This is the most unprofessional office I have seen if this is how they treat invested long term patients. We've taken our daughter here for years, first in Rockwall and for the past five years in Forney. They have grown into larger facilities over the years but at the expense of serving their patients. It's been over two years since we've seen an actual doctor, instead we see nurse practitioners. The staff is uniformed and disconnected. The final straw is today. I took my daughter in on Tuesday. She was diagnosed with the flu, extreme drainage causing her to gag and throw up. She told the NP she was not nauseated. All she was prescribed was nausea meds. We were told if she wasn't better by Thursday to call them back. She wasn't, do I called. I had to leave a message in a voice mail. A few hours later a nurse who was helpful called back. She said the NP would cal back and probably would send a. Prescription in, but I would call so I knew what was going on. No call. Friday morning I reached the office and was told a prescription was sent in on Thursday. Went 30 minutes away in the cold and rain to the pharmacy to be told they had no prescription. Two phone calls later I was told another prescription was "being sent". An hour later I'm still waiting. My daughter is worse and soon she will have a new pediatrician. Never again. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!!! Looking to get a flu shot for my 2 year old....was told I had to do a wellness check first before they could administer it. DIAGNOSED MY 2 YEAR OLD WITH AN EAR INFECTION...THEY SENT OVER A SCRIPT FOR MY KID TO BE PUT ON AMOXICILLIN .....I give my kid her medication and 2 hours later she has an allergic reaction to it. Body was covered in welts and sores...face swelled up ...she could breath or talk. Her actual pediatrician checked her the very next day and said she never had an ear infection. What kinda scam are you running over at this place! Had my daughter in so much pain. Will never come back to this place! read more

I have been going to this practice for the past 4 years without many problems until I had a new baby. My insurance was being slow about adding the new addition and this money focused practice refused to see my new born baby unless we self paid. The problem with self pay is it costs more than the insurance reimburses so the practice does not return the full amount. It's a scam. Remember when you had a family doctor who cared? This isn't the place. All about insurance production and chasing the dollar. They don't care if you wait for hours to be seen due to them double scheduling patients. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE $$$. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Have been taking both my kids here since we moved to forney 3 years ago. First our doctor was dr monica but she moved so since then we have been seeing dr Alban Tomaj who is great doctor. So good with kids and always takes time to listen and come up with treatment. I highly recommend him. And overall never had any issues with the staff or office or any person there. Everyone is great. read more

This office is amazing for kids! We see Dr. Thomason and she is so informative and great with our child. She shows genuine care and always has good advice. There are two things that make this office TOP NOTCH: Nurse line to call in and report symptoms before you book an appointment. Their philosophy is to not have you come in if it's not necessary and have the child exposed to more germs. They confer with the dr and call you back with home suggestions at no cost. The second thing is they always have open appointments for same day care. That is rare to find and such an important thing in pediatrics. The location is easy to get to, staff is great, and we would recommend this office to any new parent. read more

Office refuses to see sick children. I have used this location for 7 years and since covid they will no longer see kids that are ill, even ones NOT exhibiting respirator symptoms. Quoted from the office staff "we are not seeing sick patients in the office." How is this OK?! Beyond upset with the decreasing quality of care this "HEALTHCARE" office has shown. Several other pediatricians I have contacted are all still seeing patients and protecting themselves with proper PPE. Ridiculous. read more

I took my son to Dr. Baker for 18 months and was always very pleased with her and the nurse. I appreciated the access to the Saturday clinic in Rockwall. The front desk girl in Forney was always surly, but she's not treating my child, so whatever. When I checked out from my son's 1 year check up, I was told I didn't owe anything. They mailed me a bill for $70 about a month later, but my family was in the middle of moving and honestly, I forgot about it. I took my son in for his 15 month check-up and again was told I didn't owe anything. Then, less than 2 weeks later, I get the ugliest letter in the mail that my bill has been sent to collections and my son will no longer be treated by their practice. I had never gotten a phone call, email, second notification, or told in person about this when I was standing right in front of them with my wallet out! I had already debated finding a new pediatrician closer to our new home, but I didn't want to leave Dr. Baker because we really like her! However, this experience has shown me that its not worth the drive. I mailed them their precious $70 and I won't be back. Now, reading other reviews, it seems this has happened to several other people too. read more

So, great service from the doctors and nurses. The office is quick and I have never waited too long. My problem is with their business side. My insurance covers wellness visits 100%, (we have great PPO insurance) I have been paying $80-100 per visit. After 2 years of paying, we finally looked into this situation. This office had been charging after the insurance covers the bill. We have proof of insurance coverage. They have yet to return my calls about billing. My next step is going in person with all the insurance statements showing proof of full payments to their office. It is a shame they are deceiving their customers. I shared my experience online and found other friends have had the same experience. I really like the staff but I will sadly not be returning. read more

I'm so fed up! I have been bringing my kids to LRHP since the Forney Clinic has been open and I have to say it's been on decline the past 2 years. We came in the office recently and the new girl they hired was the tipping point with us. First of all the Office Manager there is horrible. I've left several messages for her to return my calls and she can never seem to call me back. I'm consistently being told "I'm sorry, but I can transfer to her voicemail." Finally I ended up saying I don't want to be transferred because she never calls me back. So I went there last week and the new girl up at the front checked us in and was literally falling asleep at her desk, she was very unfriendly and you can hardly hear her. Finally when we get called back the girls in the back are amazing. Honestly if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be going there. When I got to the back they were kind, helpful and always supportive. Dr Baker is always amazing and if it wasn't for her that clinic wouldn't be standing. Her nurse Michelle is always so inviting and so understandable about all my concerns. But I can't deal with the manager or the girl up front any longer. I have 4 kids and they have asthma and eczema. So we are up there all the time. Not to mention I get a letter saying I'm going into collects and never received a phone call about past due amount of $25, and I can't call the office manager because she will not return my calls. Mind you this has been going on for monWhen I called my insurance company to ask what the problem was and I was informed that LRHP filled my insurance incorrectly and that's why I'm being sent to collects. I have 2 other friends have the same problem and they never get a call back from the office manager. They need a new office manager, maybe hire one of the nurses in the back to get the job done, or we are changing practices and honestly so are my friends. Update: Still no improvement. Went in last week for my child's asthma, I asked if I could speak to the office manger, and was told by the girl up front (the one falling asleep at her desk at our prior visit) the office manger was unable to speak with me and she was rude and went even look at me. I'm officially done. Unless they get a different crew up front and a new office manager. The girls in the back and providers are amazing, but the collectuon issue is a major concern, especially when my insurance was filed incorrectly on their end. Such a shame! My friends and their kids are changing as well, as it seems to be a major issue with billing, managers, and front desk. They seriously need to clone the girls in the back so they can run this office way better than management and front office staff. read more

Unprofessional, irresponsible, poor customer service, unapologetic and disorganized. In detail: we have been bringing our daughter here for about 6 months. Almost every visit we are astonished by the unfriendly nursing staff. The major issue, and final issue we will have at this practice was two weeks ago. We were scheduled for a nurse visit for my daughter's 1 year vaccines. We waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes. I finally asked the receptionist what was going on, and she rudely responded that they "are understaffed" and I'll be called back "when they get to me. When placed in a room, the nurse who was extremely rude said "all she's getting is her flu shot." I said "No Ma'am, she is scheduled for all of her one year vaccines" and she literally rolled her eyes and said well we don't have records, so she's not getting those. I asked to speak with a manager and again was told they are understaffed. The manager never came. Instead, a nurse practitioner came in. I finally told them that I also am a nurse practitioner, and that I don't appreciate being held in a waiting room with no information, waited for an hour, and then was told we still weren't getting our vaccines when we saw our pediatrician two weeks prior there in the same office and scheduled this vaccine appointment. Furthermore, they do have our records, and it is unbelievably unprofessional to tell a patient that you are understaffed. In health care, if you don't have the staff to care for patients in a competent manner, then you shouldn't have your doors open or you should reschedule patients because it is irresponsible to carry on and give substandard care. Being understaffed, which unfortunately is a reality in more health care facilities, is not an excuse for mistakes and lack of communication. I was more than understanding until I experienced rudeness and excuses instead of empathy and communication. Finally, another RN was kind and helpful, helped me care for my daughter while I found the email where I previously sent this office her records in June and received confirmation. She was then safely allowed to give the correct vaccines to my daughter. The worst part of the entire experience is that a manager never spoke to me, the only person who ever apologized was the final RN who was lovely. The receptionist, first nurse and NP were rude and seemed like they didn't care or respect that a mistake has been made. As a fellow nurse practitioner, I was astonished by the lack of professionalism and poor attitudes that make me feel like there is a total lack of competence. I am, therefore, moving our pediatric care to Children's. I would rather drive 2 hours for standard care than be disrespected and put my daughter at risk with staff who clearly do not put their patients first. read more
