I rented kayaks from here and took my family out to Lake Roesinger. My parents are in their 60s and have never kayaked before, neither had my 13 year old nephew. We all had such a blast! The service at the store was absolutely wonderful! So nice and very helpful. The kayaks were great, we felt safe and reassured with the life vests and whistles they provided, and the lake was just perfect! My family will think back on this as a very fond memory for years to come. Great service, great product, great day! My nephew says he gives the store a 6 out of 5! read more

I just moved to this town and came upon this store. Place is pretty awesome. It has a small hometown feel. The owner and staff are very respectful, and they put customer service first. Glad we have a store like this in our area. Also, they have non-ethanol gas. Big plus! read more

This store is amazing, my family and I rented kayaks and a canoe from here last weekend. The staff was wonderful and we had such a great time that we had to go back again this weekend. I had never been kayaking before and the staff answered all of my questions. The owner came to drop off the kayaks at the lake and he gave me some tips on kayaking because I mentioned it was my first time. He also came back to pick up the kayaks when we were done. We had a wonderful experience here. We also got snacks and ice from the store, we got everything we needed for a day at the lake. read more

Just moved to Lake Stevens and while out for a drive my Son we dropped-in to ask a few questions about the area and within minutes found the folks there to be super friendly - didn't want to leave. Found-out the store is 85-years old. It and the folks there are very charming. Fishing equipment and kayaks and paddle boards, (and beer). read more

Amazing owner!!! Out for a drive today in my classic car. Pulled in to grab a snack. When I tried to leave my car stalled and would not restart. After trying to figure it out for a bit Brian came out. Turned out he was the owner and a mechanic. He trouble shot it for a bit and determined there was a fuel problem. He offered some starter fluid and with a little effort he got it started. I thanked him and asked if I could pay him and he politely declined and offered that if I got down the road and it stalled again give him a call. Nice to know there are still nice people in the world. If you are in the area swing by. I know I sure will. read more

Passed through for a brief afternoon stay July 4, 2018 on the lake with teens. Had the honor and pleasure of meeting the owner, Kevin Hickson at the Lake Roesiger Store. Not only did he fulfill our rental request for paddle boards but he invited us and even escorted us to his home and allowed my boys to set off from his own dock!!!! Unfortunately, people like Kevin are a rare breed. It was a wonderful afternoon because of Kevin and his family welcoming us literally into their home with open arms as if we had been friends for years. It was so refreshing and inspiring to know that people like Kevin are still out there making a difference in our crazy world sharing goodness and kindness, asking for nothing in return. Amazing example of genuine hospitality for my teenage boys to witness. I sure hope our paths cross again in the future because Kevin truly made a difference in my life, setting an example of heartfelt hospitality. My wife could not believe how good Kevin was to all of us; we are still talking about this awesome man who will definitely have many jewels in his crown someday up where it all matters the most. God bless you Kevin and if you live anywhere near Lake Roesiger, PLEASE support your local store/business. This guy is amazing to say the least. The Lake Roesiger Store opened up a beer garden in back just this week! Hopefully people will start hanging out back there. It's really charming, there's an outdoor area with a picnick table, a volleyball court, complete with chickens running around. The inside area has a wood stove, comfy table & chairs, and a Flat screen to watch the game (or whatever). The ultimate country store/beer garden. We moved to Lake Roesiger this September and have already grown to love this store.Kevin and Terri are wonderful and will stock items that you need and have even already stocked things I have looked for and could not find without even asking. We go in and have coffee every sat morning and sit at the little bar and enjoy a slow relaxing morning. The atmosphere is relaxed and family oriented. I am so happy to call this area our home and having what we call the little store makes it that much better. read more
