(Bagley Rapids Campground)…read more One of the best campgrounds in the state, in my opinion. This is a semi-wilderness campground, and that's why I love it so much. No electricity is provided, something I love about this place, but you can pump fresh water from the well, and outhouse toilets are on site. The best sites are along the river, but only a few of them offer any real privacy or seclusion. Site 21 has the thickest surrounding vegetation and offers the best privacy of any site along the river. However, if being on the river is not as important to you as it is to some, the sites along the back loops offer the most privacy, and most people choose not to use those sites. On more than one occasion I arrived to find all the river sites full and had to stay in one of the back sites. Most of the time I was the only camper in the back loop, giving me the ultimate feeling of being truly alone. The rapids offer some great swimming in certain areas, but fishing on the river doesn't offer much. I also wouldn't recommend floating down the river, especially not along the campsites. There are areas along the river that are potentially very dangerous or deadly if you are not a good swimmer, so I advise caution at all times. Bagley also offers some fantastic hiking trails for those of you who love to be out in the thick of it. I would advise against wearing shorts if you decide to hike through any part of the forest that is not a trail. Poison oak and poison ivy are everywhere. If you are looking for an extremely peaceful and relaxing camping trip, one where you're not surrounded by campers, RV's, and loud annoying music, then I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Unlike Boundary Waters, a gentle, inviting woodland, however, the infernal combustion engine arrived long ago. The campsites are thankfully primitive. There are, to my knowledge, no rip off 'family' type campsites, the crash commercialism of which has become so widespread in recent years.

Our horseback instructor was on her phone 90% of the time, and only talked to us when giving instructions. Very bumpy and uncomfortable. There's a few occasions where you have to lift your legs up so they don't get squished between your horse and the tree. And on the go karts, there was two women recording with their phones. Which is very stupid on them, (one of the crashed) but why even allow phones on those very fast go karts? The employees just simply don't care and all they want is their paycheck for doing basic task. And the usage of AI images at the mini gold tv screen is so disgusting. Can you really not take the time out of your day to simply take some photos of people playing the course instead of being lazy and using AI? Just looking at an images and easily being able to tell it's AI is just such an eye-sore.

This is a fairly basic public outdoor shooting range, but a clean and well maintained one. I knew…read moreit was nearby when we were planning a summer trip up to the general area, so I brought my MAS-44 and a couple handguns. It's not a real busy range, only one other person was there with me during the couple hours I was there. It's essentially serve yourself, use common sense and be safe. Everything will usually be just fine when you do, in any circumstance. It was really nice to just practice in peace without all the Elmer Fudds, neckbeards, and political weirdos I encounter at some of the ranges near home. And there aren't really any nearby convenient outdoor ranges close to home, so it was nice to properly shoot a rifle. This is a public resource, so be respectful, pick up after yourself, be mindful of other shooters and don't be a dick. Not hard at all. You'll have a good shoot.

Ojibwa played a large roll in my life. I still consider those summers as a camper as some of the best times of my life. It's one of the experiences that I could share with my family members who also went, which I always really liked about it. The camp is competitive, but I felt that it helped prepare me for what is a competitive workplace and competitive world. I learned life lessons, learned to sail, learned to win gracefully, learned to lose with honor, and learned that I still wish every week were Collegiate Week. Oh and I won in '91. :P Something I still consider to be one of my great life achievements.

This golf course is beautiful with surrounding woods and wildlife. Fun 9 hole course next to the…read morewater. Terrain is slightly challenged because you cannot see where the hole is. There are patches of dead grass which is confusing because everything around the course is BRIGHT GREEN. It is definitely being your own golf clubs! The clubs are terrible; too short, left and right in the same bag, beat up, outdated. They could go to Kmart and replace them with nicer clubs.
