Don't buy vapes from this place! They sell "dud" vapes at full price. One day later, a vape that is supposed to last a week or more lasts one day!! I have tested this several times with different brands great m this place. They are dishonest and scammers! What a shame! Won't give them any of my business moving forward! Nice people that will lean you toward a quality wine in your price range and variety. I wanted an expensive wine and they steered me to Wind Mill from Lodi and Avalon Cab from Napa. Lake Forest Wines is one of the best places in Sacramento to get great wine at the lowest prices available. They've got a hug selection of top quality wines, especially Napa wines. I've been going there for years, and I am very impressed with the owners. They always come through for me, and they always give me great wine recommendations when I ask for them. Plus, they have wine tasting every Friday, and they email the name of the featured wine ahead of time so I can pick and choose which wine tastings I want to go to. Not bad. read more

I went to Lake Forest Wines tonight because I needed to pick up some Spanish wines for a Valentine's dinner I'm attending tomorrow evening. This was my second and last visit to this store. I think the people who were tending the store tonight are the owner's parents. I met the owner on my first visit and he was OK (although I recall he tried to get me to buy some old South African wines that I really didn't care for). Anyway, back to tonight... these people know didley squat about wine. I walked in asking if they have any Rioja. "Is that Napa?" came the response! After a little explanation about what Rioja is, I learned that no, they do not have any. They did have one label of red Spanish wine - a Ribero del Duero that I ended up taking because I didn't have the time to look elsewhere. But what really got to me is that they kept pointing out their great California wine collection. If it were California wines I wanted I would not have gone here. So I am disappointed. Fortunately there is a nice new Wine Styles in historic downtown Folsom that is close by and sells non-Safeway wines. I should have gone there... read more
