You can't leave a review on Google so I will leave one here…read more This is our first time in this district, the school looks gross, the assistant principal has a unpleasant attitude and I was sent on a Mary go round just to speak to my son counselor about his schedule. 1. First day the assistant principal stopped me from going in to discuss his schedule she stated parents aren't allowed through the doors. It throw me off a bit so I asked is that because it's the first day she said no because it's middle school. This response was very snarky and unprofessional especially after I explained my child is new to the district. 2. My child is supposed to be in 3 honor classes. He's in none! I tried to discuss his scheduling with his counselor the day of orientation he told me to check the online website and it should be posted there. The schedule wasn't posted. Felt very brushed off while discussing how to obtain his schedule. 3. I tried to call the school to discuss my child schedule since parents aren't allowed in, the lady in the front desk had horrible phone etiquette, I explained I needed to speak to the counselor she did a cold transfer in hopes that the counselor picked up. He didn't. Called again, she transferred me to another counselor, he gave me the direct number to my child counselor, I called. No answer, called the school again just for the lady at the front desk who didn't provide her name state that oh the counselor is in a meeting. I'll have him call you back. Instead of me going round and around to reach this counselor she should've ensured he was available before sending me on a phone hunt. Strongly have a distaste in my mouth about this school. May transfer my child back to his previous district where they had amazing phone etiquette when you called, and didn't provide snarky answers to parents questions. I get this is middle school but the professionalism should still apply whether it's an elementary, middle or high school or even college.

Was not happy with this school! Our son is special needs and is non verbal. He has a severe nut…read moreallergy and history of seizures. At the start of the school year I was picking my son up after school and did not see him. So I got out of my car to look for him and see him pacing back and forth. The teacher tells him I'm there and hurries him to come along. I thought maybe he had to go to the bathroom. She then tells me "he ingested a "small piece" of a nutter butter but spit it out and he's fine!" I tell her no he's not! And pick him up over my shoulder and race him to the nurse. Long story short-no signs were posted in classroom or at school about an allergy being in the class. A TEACHER'S AID gave him the snack because he "wanted it". No protocol was followed and they never even took him to the nurse to get looked at. It took me getting out of my car and seeing my son was not well and taking him myself. We were in nurses office for about an hour as he vomited and showed signs of possible seizure. All of this could have been prevented if they took the time follow directions. My son is ok now, but because of it being severe he could've died. The fact that he doesn't talk should've made his teachers more aware and take precautions. We met with principal and told them what happens, they said they would open an investigation about the incident.. got a call a few days later and was told our story checked out but no disciplinary action was taken against the teacher/teacher aid. We pulled him out of her school and transferred him!!
