Instead of checking to see if I was ok, she slumped her shoulders and stared at the wall without a word. I knew right away that she was quite irritated by my audacity to react to pain. The dentist came in shortly after and began rattaling off a long list of everything that was wrong. She became more and more agitated about the issues. I was confused as this was the first I heard of it. Something felt off, and I indicated I was going to speak with my perio. I told them later I was going to get a 2nd opinion. I got a call from the dentist shortly afterward. Good on her for calling quickly and not sending it to someone else. The dentist proceeded to lecture me that because the hygenist was wearing a mask, there was no way I could know she was agitated. She was defending her employee, fair enough, but I know human body language, and I knew what her stance meant. There was no uncertainty. I had a better experience with the new dentist. She saw me shaking in the chair with anxiety from my previous experience, and with compassion, she quickly indicated that it's not as bad as it was made out to be, and we have just discussed a plan with my perio. Because of the trauma from here, I NOW require nitrious at any and all appointments out of fear of being made to feel pain with zero compassion.

I think I once received a check from my insurance company for $30.00. Dental insurance is a joke anyway. It was suggested to me to remove all of my teeth and get dentures. The good part...when I contacted City Square for records, x-rays and my treatment plan I received a form letter to sign for a release AND a $20.00 charge. Really?? I know I had only spent about $3,000, but it seemed like it might be a courtesy to send them. That is when the backpedaling and lies began. Now I felt like I was dealing with a used car lot. So my recommendation to you is absolutely ask every possible question. Another person who works in the field told me they absolutely do not take insurance. I will not trust again. Like so many things, you are their best friend until S____ gets real. Beware. .

The X-ray charge has been removed. I have changed this review from 1 star to 5. Be cautious when receiving additional charges from any dental billing department. He said I needed the cavity redone on the tooth next to it too. I feel it was just for $$$ because that one was small and not failing. The new crown feels like he didn't get all the root out when doing the root canal. I still have sensitivity when I touch it with my tongue. Also during that root canal/crown job he kept knocking my front tooth crown with his instruments. Hard enough for me to say something, however with all the crap in my mouth and his lacking bedside manner he didn't pay it any mind. A few weeks later that crown fell out. Had it for 15 years, no problems. Now shortly after it constantly is banged it just falls out while eating. No pop or knock when it happened. Definitely don't think it was because of the food. He's obsessed with TMJ, and even though I have it I also have no issues. Pushed for a mouth guard but it caused pain on my cheek to wear it overnight. He basically reacted like tough cookies there's nothing I can do. Additionally my husband still has his wisdom teeth, recommended he went to an OS to get them removed. OS said no leave em. Made appointments for each of my children because they needed to…read morehave some teeth pulled before they could start some orthodontic work with a different practice. Made it very clear when I scheduled both appointments that this was the purpose of the appointments. I was also told that they would be contacting our orthodontist to ensure the right teeth would be pulled.Today we arrived for my 8 year old daughter to get her teeth pulled and no one in the office had any idea we were there for an extraction they didn't have nitrous (which I mentioned my daughter would need) and they never contacted the orthodontist so we spent a large amount of time trying to figure everything out just to have to reschedule for another day. After this mistake I wanted them to check my son's appointment for 2 weeks later to ensure that they had their ducks in a row by then. This is when they decided to tell me my sons appointment was scheduled to late in the day for a tooth extraction and they would ask the doctor and get back to us later in the day. Once again I scheduled this appointment only for a tooth extraction and I made that very clear so why was I allowed to schedule that late in the day. We left the office at that point with just a routine follow up and cleaning for my daughter. We had to reschedule her extraction because they didn't have the nitrous I specifically requested be available. A couple of hours later they contacted me saying they could not do my son's extraction that late in the day and I told them they needed to accommodate as I was promised or I would be taking my business elsewhere. The office personnel on the call quickly responded with "I think that would be for the best" and the call ended. I have never been more angry in any patient or customer interaction in my life and I always try and see the other side and give them the benefit of the doubt. I felt this was absolutely ridiculous there was no effort on there part to try and accommodate anything for their employees mistakes. My wife then spent the afternoon contacting other dentist to see if we could get this taken care of asap luckily we found someone quickly so I called morningside dental to have them transfer all the patient info over to the new dentist. I expressed my disappointment again and was met with little to no remorse on the other side. The only two positives from this appointment was the dentist himself was very nice and worked well with my daughter keeping her relaxed and laughing and the dental assistant that cleaned my daughters teeth was very kind, understanding, and the apologetic about the confusion while we were there.
