This place is a hidden gem... the staff are so nice and helpful and made us feel right at home. And I must say the fish baskets were extremely generous!! It was all you can eat but we couldn't even finish the first plateful lol. Last Saturday the family and I were out riding the Land between the Lakes (Big T and Big Sam). Daughter said let's try the seafood place at Browndell. Nothing fancy but great catfish and fried onion rings. Went back tonight and the chicken fried steak was even better. read more

Not as good as previous posters have indicated. I had the catfish and shrimp which was pretty tasteless, which is surprising since Louisiana is just a few miles east and their recipes are always tasty. The little cup of tartar sauce was just a cheap, mayo type of thing. The sauce for the shrimp was a thin, watery red liquid. Again no taste. And they also use some no name keys up. Hardly any taste! My wife had the catfish and again very disappointing. No flavor. The service was good as it should be since we were the only customers in the restaurant. Won't be going there again.
