They included a fix for a hole in our siding without trying to upsell us for all new siding. We ordered in October and the manufacturer had our windows ready for installation in December. The crew that came out were so friendly and very respectful of our home. Scheduling the installation, painting, cleanup, and finishing touches was a breeze. The winter weather did make it difficult for the crew to clean up nails and debris on the outside, but they did come back when it was warmer to clean up. It was a mess. I carefully researched companies that did exterior work. I ultimately chose Olson on the basis of their reputation of doing high-quality work. Shortly thereafter I met with the project manager (Joe H) and he was helped me get the colors and materials picked and ordered and the project was underway. When the install day arrived, I was introduced two a 2-man work crew that would be handling the bulk of the work. In the course slightly more than a week, they totally rebuilt the full exterior of my home. The results are amazing and the home feels new again! Two things really stood out to me and my experience with Olson. 1). The work ethic of that two-man crew. They worked as hard as anyone I have ever seen. Except for lunch, work was non-stop from sunrise to sunset. This was hard and grueling work, especially the demolition of the old siding and stone fascia. They showed up every day like clockwork, and cleaned up after each day. 2). The quality of work they demonstrated. They absolutely knew what they were doing, and they were very good at it. Everything was installed true, level, without gaps, etc. Caulk lines were perfect etc. Everywhere they worked you could see the pride in what they do, and it was very clear there were no shortcuts taken. These two gentlemen were expert craftsman and I can gratefully say my house now reflects that. It turned out more beautiful than I'd ever imagined. I have never nor will ever receive any compensation for this review. My sole motivation for writing is to share the positive experience I had with Olson. Finding a trustworthy company for a project of this size and investment is daunting. Olson, especially their work crew, deserves recognition for a job well done. I am sharing my experience with 2G Adjusting / 2G Exteriors so others understand the full sequence…read moreof events. I retained the company as a public adjuster after an insurance loss. They successfully obtained approval of my full claim. After the claim was approved, they went back to the insurance carrier seeking approximately $50,000 more than the approved amount. The insurance denied it, stating that they already approved the full bid amount. 2G then demanded appraisal with my insurance. I did not request appraisal as 2G asserts, and was only notified about it after the process began. During this process, I was told that these actions reflected my wishes, which I disputed. The appraiser selected by 2G later withdrew. Following the appraisal demand, my insurance company filed suit in Kane County relating to the appraisal process. I was required to retain new legal counsel at significant personal expense. The appraisal has now been completed, and the court matter is expected to close once that completion is formally confirmed. Separately, 2G represented that their public adjuster fee would be waived if I used their affiliated construction company. I filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance. After review, the Department ruled in my favor and determined that my contract is void under Illinois law. A public adjuster may not waive their fee in exchange for construction services. The Department notified the company that it is under regulatory investigation and ordered that funds being held in escrow be returned. The State found that 2G Adjusting primarily served the interests of its sister company, 2G Exteriors, rather than its client (me). As of this review, those escrowed funds have not been returned. I encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review Illinois public adjuster regulations and ensure all decisions regarding appraisal and fee arrangements are clearly documented and expressly authorized.

While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%.
