It was a very painful ordeal for both of us twice a year.... then the dreaded day of his first cavity came... not one but multiple. I felt like a horrible parent I was devastated and stressed. I was so thankful when I came across Erin Oaks and Dr.Regina. she was kind and patient with me. She helped lay my mom guilt to bed while explaining to me and my son how we were going to get him fixed up and on the right track. From the minute we arrived, the office is calm and soothing, everyone I encountered was polite and informative. Office is kept spotless. Dr.Regina was able to fill my son's cavities 100% pain free. Was quoted a price of $300 after insurance and was told to return 6 weeks to see if the treatment is working. Went back and was billed over $180 without telling me or anything. This was not quoted to me when I asked for the cost of the treatment and no one mentioned anything when I booked the next appointment. I paid the money and that will be the VERY last time. They do offer good services, I'll give them that, but most dentists do. Stay away from this place if you can. They are phony!

Having gone to the same dentist since, well, forever, I was actually quite saddened when he was…read moreforced into early retirement due to a bad back (a combination of being a really tall guy and having to constantly crouch). Though he had left his practice to one of his students / mentees (is that even a word?) I had never been to see her obviously and though I was loyal to rest of the staff I now lived far enough away that it made sense to search for a new dentist. Being in Port Credit (where you can throw a stone in any direction and hit one) made it pretty easy. I went to Doctor Mitch (as I've taken to calling him) on the advice of my girlfriend who had pretty much picked him at random out of the hundred or so dentists working in the area. Thankfully she made a solid choice. Now dental work isn't my favourite thing in the world, especially when you have pretty soft teeth like I do. But Dr. Mitch makes things as painless and comfortable as possible. He's friendly and easygoing, not to mention the fact that he certainly seems to know what he's doing! His hygiene staff are great people and Mary who handles admin and reception is always a treat to deal with. The office itself is clean and modern looking with magazines aplenty while you wait, TVs in every room to keep your mind off the sometimes unavoidably unpleasant dental business and even an Xbox in the waiting area for the kids. There's also ample parking in a private lot which is a plus in the area. So if you need a dentist and you live in the area, definitely consider Dr. Mitchell Lynas. He's still accepting new patients so far as I'm aware and even though there are plenty of other options in the area, this is one that I can personally recommend. I even considered a five star review but just couldn't bring myself to do it...not that he doesn't deserve it, it's just that I don't think I could ever bring myself to give five stars to a DDS. They're just too inherently scary!
