We had a broken bracket where the garage door mechanism connected to our door - once broken off, it…read morewas disconnected and - while the mechanism would move, the door just sat :( Our garage door is also original to the house (70ish years old), so we weren't sure if the door was also just dated and worth replacing, too. Either way, we needed help. Ryan H came out and provided his expert guidance and recommendation. He praised the condition and merits of our existing door, but recognized if we wanted an upgrade we could totally go for that. He assured me the bracket fix would be simple enough and very reasonably priced (which it was!). In talking to the company before Ryan came out, they also indicated that - should we decide to replace the door entirely, they'd credit the amount paid here toward a new door - which was awesome to know. That said, Ryan worked his magic and the door looked and worked great. While he added the new bracket, he was sure to respect the current door and did not have to make any new holes to the door/keeping everything in tact. Couldn't be happier with his professionalism, practical approach, and effectiveness. Throughout the whole time, he was not only patient and informative in explaining reasoning and justification for all of the things, but he was also friendly, approachable, and genuinely displayed a passion and care for his work. I used them twice and can no longer recommend them, I would avoid and look elsewhere. On the second…read morevisit they replaced a spring, I complained it was noisy on opening and was told to "give it a while and let it settle" and that we have 90 day warranty they would come back out if it didn't improve. When they came back out (because it was still noisy) they said I need new rollers and cables. We declined to have the work done immediately to get other estimates and they tried charging a $45 service fee (for a warranty check). They then threatened to place a lien if we did not pay the $45. Actually insane thing to threaten, over $45 when we have paid them nearly $2,000 for work over the past year. In summary, their prices are high, their warranty is sad (most reputable garage door companies will give 1 year minimum) and their business practices are unethical and unprofessional.
