My garage door was acting up, and when I finally decided to call a company, they sent somebody to my house within a business day of calling. Jose called a half hour before arriving (in the window specified), and when he arrived he addressed the issue quickly, giving me all the choices I had. When I chose to have my faulty unit replaced, Jose did so on the spot, and got it finished in less than an hour. The garage door is great, it makes no sound, and is a giant upgrade to what I had for less than what I was quoted with other companies. Repair guy showed up, talked my wife into that we needed a new opener and bill came to $800. There was nothing wrong with the opener - belt simply needed to be replaced. I had a technician at my home in a matter of hours. This wasn't an emergency and I did not make it out to be. That's just the way they do business. They arrived on schedule but, Then offered to replace my fully functional garage door opener even though that wasn't the problem.

We called them around 4pm on a Tuesday and Brian showed up less than three hours later as promised. He was very polite, very competent and efficient. He replaced two springs (one was broken) and explained that if we did not replace both that the new spring would not balance against the old one. Made sense to me! He also cleaned and lubricated the entire door mechanism so that it works better than before. We were very happy with the service. I did not expect the level of professionalism and quality that we received and I would HIGHLY recommend Chicago Garage Door to anyone needing service for their garage door. I called Chicago Garage Door because my garage door was about 50 years old. I called and Eric answered the phone. He said he would be out the next day for a quote and showed up as expected. He gave me the quote and I gave him a deposit on the spot because of his attitude and the fact the door was in stock. He was in touch with me continually and he showed up 2 days later with Brian. Communication was excellent. They removed the old door and track, installed the new door and track and the entire job took about 3 hours for a 16 ft door. They even adjusted my garage door opener to give me more clearance, which is a huge bonus for me. Additionally, I had some wide gaps at the bottom and they said they were going to come back with a 4" weather seal for the bottom. Eric and Brian were excellent all the way around.
