I am a recurring customer at this Lakeshore location and was disappointed during my visit today. The sales associate was standing at the front of the store and did not greet me. Shortly after, I clearly heard her loudly welcome a white family with "hello, welcome in." All customers deserve to be treated equally and with respect. A simple greeting makes a big difference, and I hope management addresses this moving forward. read more

Ahh I wish I found this store sooner! This store is amazing for kids and teachers too! Basically everything a teacher needs for a classroom can be found in here. We loved the learning materials and games -- everything I have purchased here has been educational and engaging for my daughter! They also have toys here out on display for your kiddos to try out -- we discovered we needed to purchase the screwdriver set as a result! I went in to buy books for my son. They were very limited on their selection of Spanish books, however, the lady that assisted me was extremely helpful in searching for more books in the clearance section. Besides that I would say it offers a lot for children to grow away from that tablet and be kids. Parents if you're looking for workbooks for spring, summer and winter break; they have those too. The price was reasonable but I'm more than satisfied with my purchase and I'm looking forward to reading to my son tonight. read more

My son and I always have a total blast when visiting Lakeshore Learning Store. They have the best educational toys and materials! They also always have a monthly free kids event on Saturdays from 11-3PM. This month Feb, kids had the opportunity to make a car, plane, or a ship. Then they can put the creation into motion! Last month Jan, kids had the opportunity to excavate a dinosaur out of an egg and the chance to make homemade slime! I was surprised at how much my kiddo and I enjoyed the Lakeshore Learning Store. I came in since I had a coupon from purchasing a multiplication machine through their website. We walked in and an employee greeted us right away and asked if it was our first time. We said yes and they went over the various sections of the store, the little stations kids can try out and the reading corner that happens by the hour on Saturday. We walked around the entire store then my daughter played at several of the stations before deciding her favorite which we ended up buying. There's a small clearance section in the back right, which I ended up buying a marble toy for my oldest at a discount just cuz of damaged packaging, why not! We tagged onto the last few mins of the reading corner and participated in their in store scavenger hunt. My daughter really enjoyed the experience and asked to return next weekend. The store had tons of learning toys and tools. Lots of supplies and resources for teachers and at home learning. I will definitely be stopping by again! read more

A teacher's Paradise and a place parents should love too. This is a very neat and well organized store with school supplies. Lots and lost of school supplies. From very early development through at least middles school. I don't understand the method behind the way that it is organized. But I know that the staff was able to help me find things I was looking for and I had no idea of the name of some of the items. "Uhm, I'm looking for this card that teachers put stickers on for little kids. They collect stickers on them as rewards..." That my dear Yelper is called, "an Incentive Card". But my point is that I was looking for several things to donate to a school, but not being a teacher, I had no idea what those items were called. The staff in that store was amazing. They have a rewards buying program, so be sure to ask for the card. I'll bet anything the sales person won't forget to suggest it. I have heard some people complain that hte prices are too high. I comparison shop just about everything on Amazon.com and I found the prices for the items I went in there to buy were comparable. You can get all the things here cheaper on the internet. However, sometimes you don't have anytime to waste waiting for things to arrive in the mail. Being someone that's needing more toys for nieces and the profession I'm in, I love the store. They have toys that allow for creativity, unlike Toys R Us which seems to have every toy in the world meant for every purpose. I hate specific toys for specific types of play, I feel it stifles creativity, which is why I love what Lakeshore has. If it's too far away, they do have a website with more than what they have in store. PLUS, I love that they have baby and family dolls in all different races, much more realistic than what you normally see with the blond, blue eyed babies that are everywhere. My biggest minus is the exorbitant price of everything. But you can get on a text discount thing where they send you discounts over the phone, and if you sign up for the mailing list they get you coupons to your door. I did do the check-in deal through yelp last time I was there and they hassled me about it saying that it was't from their store. Yes it is. Your corporate advertising person put it there, please learn before you speak. Luckily they took it after I explained to them that it was a product of their company and not of my imagination. Otherwise, the store is great, but I will be waiting for paper coupons from now on. read more

This store can make you go bankrupt because they have almost everything you would need to set up a classroom and not at cheap prices!
