There was a lot to choose from here. I came to buy a graduation gift my daughter's friend wanted, and I was very impressed. I would have liked to have seen more how-to-draw guides because I like to buy those for my daughter, but it's only a minor complaint. I laughed out loud at the Snoop Dog crochet kit (and I totally approve because he's awesome). The associates were all very nice. They greeted me, asked if I needed anything, and wished me a nice day even though I used self checkout. Like most craft stores, it does feel a little overpriced, but then in this economy, everything feels expensive. Oh, and I loved the model car and space ship selection! My brother would have enjoyed these. And they have photo albums! I'm rarely on social media, and the old soul in me misses physical photographs. read more

I had a great experience here the other day. Michael's always has a really great selection of ANY art and crafts project you're trying to start, but I especially love the seasonal decorations! On this trip, they'd already put out Halloween decorations and I was really excited to see what kind of items they'd have! I loved everything, but of course nothing was on sale yet. Usually they'll discount the seasonal decor around the same time of the holiday though, so I'll check back in a few months. I did end up purchasing a few items, including a door mat and one Halloween decor item. The door mats are always a really great deal, and are good quality too! Went in for some wooden crates because they were only $10. Found the crates next to a giant sale sign $5 off that was a big selling point. Only this sale sign, still left up on 8/23, was actually dated until 8/16 (which was in very tiny print and unable to be seen) so it was no longer on sale. Love this location since there's tons of parking and because I'm often in the area at nearby establishments or returning from my hike which is also nearby. This time, I purchase my babies a few crafty items to paint on their own for a hobby day. They really do have things that can keep Children busy when they're bored, when it comes to arts and crafts. We also have purchased Tshirts from here in the past to attend a "Price Is Right" taping, in which, we had a pal design for us so "yes" definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the market for craft items. When my daughter and I drove past where I thought the Michaels was I couldn't find it and then I saw it on the other side of the street. That was very confusing. "Hey, I thought it was on the other side," I said to my daughter. When I went back another day I was sure that it was a different location so I asked one of the clerks and sure enough they had moved to the new location. I can't say for sure but the store does look bigger and of course everything was super organized and nice n clean looking, one of the nicest Michaels I have ever been in. The merchandise was the same, it just looked better. The employees seem to be happy--I'm sure it is enjoyable to work in a brand new store . One thing I like about this Michaels is that there's a Joanns and a Hobby Lobby nearby so you can hit the "Big Three" all in one trip to use your coupons. Yay! read more

So I came in here today to do a return, Lacy was the one who did it. She looked like a manager, I'm pretty sure she was. She just had a huge attitude and I looked over it, not even a "hi how are ya," or "thank you come again" she was acting like all the customers were just a heard of sheep she had to get through. She finalized my return and threw my receipts and my items at me that I purchased. Pretty sad that managers aren't even managers anymore. How hard is it to just ask how someone is? I work in customer service, no matter how tired I am or if I'm having a bad day I still put on a smile. The only con was the lines were moving fast considering how busy it was. read more

I can't step foot in this store, because I'll be tempted to buy everything. There are way too many cute ideas for me to handle. Michaels is a large store filled with craft materials that force you to be creative. Some items are amazing deals for their price, and others are a bit amiss - I bought a knitting book for my sister at Amazon at a reduced price compared to Michael's, but I think that some other items (especially for crafts and sale items) are great deals. Some of the products are not available because they are sold out, but the staffs are relatively quick to restock. The customer service is always great - employees seem to be happy and relaxed! If they had better deals for some of their products, I would go much more frequently. That being said, if you have any need for artistic/craft inspiration, I recommend checking out Michaels. read more

Let's just start off by saying I do not have a crafting bone in my body, I have never been one to do arts and crafts. I appreciate what others can do, there are some amazing people who can just put beautiful ideas and things together, but for me it's not my thing, so going to Michaels was never something I would do by choice. This Michaels has great customer service, after a few attempts of looking I had to seek someone out and not only were they helpful, they were friendly and showed me quite a few options. I prefer hobby lobby. The Michael's store is a lot smaller and more expensive. If you go across the street you get better deals. It's a great store for crafts more then anything else. It was pretty empty when I went in and lots of clutter. read more

I was with salesperson in Framing area for about 15 min. putting together a frame that I intended to purchase when another customer approached and said she had an "issue" with a frame she had already purchased. Salesperson dropped me like I hadn't even been there. Salesperson had already stopped helping me once to answer a customer question about where to find colored shoe laces (now that is a big sale). So, they lost my business and anyone else who I can influence not to shop at Michael's and got this 1 star review instead. read more
