The suite has a large bedroom and a separate sitting room and a separate private bath. It takes up one whole upper side of the large house. It, like the rest of the inn, was immaculate. We checked in late afternoon and through the beautiful wall-wide windows watched the sun setting over the snow. Gorgeous. Everything about Maple Cove exceeded our expectations. So comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water for a tub in the morning, window seats in both the sitting area and the bedroom for sunrise and sunset views. Beautifully decorated, but not kitschy or cluttered. They also supplied a mini-fridge, a K-cup coffee maker, plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. In the morning Jan made us a gourmet breakfast. I do not exaggerate. An incredible omelet, fruit and yogurt parfait, fresh coffee, grilled sourdough toast, potatoes (perhaps fondant?) and orange juice. Plus homemade cinnamon scones! We loved it and will go back in the summer to use the pool! This may be the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. Thank you, Jan and Mark!

Free continental breakfast served every day. They have a pool and their fitness room and guest laundry is available 24 hours a day. The kitchen, while small, is very new with upgraded features. The closets are crazy huge! They have a front hall closet in the kitchen which can double as a pantry if staying awhile. The shower heads are mounted really high-a bonus for tall people but difficult to adjust if you are 5'2"! I can reach on my toes... Plenty of outlets by the beds with USB charging points-one on each side of the bed. Lots of closet space in the bedroom as well. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The entire place has a very good feeling about it. Very comfortable and pleasant. Very quiet, which was surprising due to the location. I had no traffic noise at all.

You could hear people all night long walking up and down the hallways and opening and closing doors. - Bathroom fan was super loud like a lawnmower. Thank God for the timer light. I used that so not to make tons of noise. Would I stay here again? Only in an emergency, which is why I stayed here in the first place. I had seen the Royal Park Hotel before but never been in - the lobby is gorgeous as well, and a front desk staffer directed me to the conservatory, which is directly behind it. I've also heard they have a nice restaurant on site, so I'm hoping to come back and experience that, at some point. All of the catered food at the conservatory was tasty, as well - we had appetizers, salad, and I had an herb chicken dish, I believe. Waitstaff was very courteous and when I went up to the bar to get a Diet Coke, they asked how everything was tasting, etc., even though I wasn't the hostess of the party; nice customer service. My engaged friend said that they originally looked at Royal Park as a wedding venue, but unfortunately the conservatory wasn't large enough for their number of guests - I'm glad they had their engagement dinner there, so I got to experience it. There were about 30 guests there last night but the space looked like it could fit more, I would guess 40-50 total, easily, and possibly even more. Based on this experience, I'd love to come back to the hotel either to dine or to stay overnight.

My room was warmly decorated in Lodge style furnishings and clean, plush bedding. There was even a cute Moose rug next to my bed! My room was very clean and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful and brought me towels, kleenex, and extra coffee supplies with a smile. The place is very peaceful and I so enjoyed the tranquil pond views and watching and feeding the ducks and geese. I will recommend this place to everyone I know who travels to this area of Michigan. The LA Cafe restaurant is right next door with great food, baked goods and expresso coffee drinks. Convenient! I saw the previous bad reviews from a few individuals and can only imagine that they are not happy in many areas of their life. This place, the owners, Tim and his Mom, and their excellent staff are peaceful loving service oriented gems in the world of hospitality! All American Good old fashioned service at it's best!
