Very nice! Easy parking, welcomed as soon as we entered- old school charm to this place!…read more Whitefish dip for an appetizer and a nice bottle of wine- and priced pretty well. 4 of us for dinner- soup and salads were very good, I enjoyed the seafood bisque. We had a variety of entrees, all done wonderfully and good sized portions. Dessert was cheesecake and a brownie with ice cream, neither was anything special. Service was just ok, she seemed rushed even though it wasn't crowded. Worth a second trip, the menu is extensive.

My first time here and it was quite good!…read more We ordered calamari and it was calamari strips and not calamari rings. It didn't matter to me as I like all calamari but I do wish I knew it was served with green peppers - I get acid reflex from green peppers and the calamari just sitting on them is enough to start acid production. Thankfully I snagged the calamari on the top of the mound and hubby ate the calamari touching the peppers. The dipping sauce was kind of odd and I was not a fan. Hubby got French onion soup and enjoyed and I really liked the salad (forgot the name of it - it had dried cherries and pine nuts among other things). The bread was bread. Hubby could not stop eating it, I picked at a piece...but that is our bread relationship. Hubby got cedar plank fish for dinner and it was seasoned well. Delicious! I opted to just get another appetizer for my dinner - the ahi tuna with seaweed salad. Overall, everything was good and I would come back!

The shower was the highlight of the room. spacious, large head with high pressure and a modern design with glass and white tile. I payed the $5 for the upgraded internet and it was well worth it for the lightning-fast speeds. I tried out the pool and waded waist deep, but it was small, cold and nothing special. I really wished they had a hot tub. It was nice to have the little shop downstairs to get water during the evening. They also have a nice selection of snacks and microwavable if you don't want to go anywhere. The only problem was the people above us. Kids running back and forth and slamming into the walls throughout the day and night, making it hard to get a good nights sleep. I really wish they would put large families of kids on the lower floors and put singles and adult couples higher up, so they don't have to be tortured by noise. for $185 a night it was pretty nice.

HVAC unit is quiet and does the job. The only drawback here is the breakfast: food is pretty bad and coffee is just plain awful. Overall a great place to stay and if back in the area, would definitely come back here!

We stayed in the very first room, closest to the road. Everything was fine until the middle of the night when I heard someone talking and it sounded like they were actually in our room. It was the room next door. We could hear them talking, and could hear every word they were saying. Luckily we had a noise maker to turn on so we could drown out the noise. In the morning, it was also very loud and we could hear all the cars driving by on the main road. The bed was large and spacious, but when we woke up, we were pretty sore from sleeping on it all night. Its not a typical hotel, as it doesn't have a pool, breakfast, etc. but it was very clean, which is hard to find in a hotel sometimes so I will give them that.

This was cleaner than a lot of the hotels I've been in. The woman at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. We didn't check in until about 7pm and she let us know right away that if we needed anything, the office was closing at 9pm (which was helpful for the second night). Our room was across the parking lot from the reception area and on the first floor. The motel was booked, as we stayed during a holiday weekend and there was a large family staying there for a wedding. Everyone was friendly and respectful. It was quiet at night, so no problems with noise. The room was impeccably clean and well-stocked. The pillows were quite comfy, which is saying something as I've been unable to find a pillow that both supports and is comfortable since my spinal fusion. The bathroom was very spacious and we had room to have one of us in the shower, another using the facilities, and another using the sink. Our only complaint was that the motel placed a $100 hold on the card for incidentals on top of the room charges, which caused issues with our credit union. Other than that, highly recommended!

This truly breaks my heart to write because we have loved this facility for so many years…read more We have been bringing our children here annually (sometimes multiple times a year) since 2013. But recently in the last few years, we have noticed a shift (some things they may not directly have control over). But this past weekend was bad and we felt it was time to update our review to reflect what is happening now. From the second you walk into their lobby, throughout the hallways, seeping into the rooms, and even penetrating the waterpark areas, all you can smell is that legalized recreational product (I'm sure you can guess what I'm talking about). It's disgusting, lingering scent persisting everywhere. It clings onto your clothing, suitcase, EVERYTHING. And if you get a room that was previously occupied by guests who partake in that, it reeks of it for your whole stay! Adding to this, you can continuously find bandaids, hair and hair extensions floating in the water and lying around on the ground. Many children/teens are running wild (being very disrespectful) with no adult in sight. This place has lost its charm for us and it truly is sad. This was a vacation we looked forward to annually with our children and have created so many beautiful memories but sadly, it no longer does and then to add the price continuously increasing (which we knew would happen). If the smell of recreational products, filthy areas, and disrespectful guests is your vibe, then this is the place for you. What once used to be our favorite has sadly shifted over the last few years.
