The owner asked what my phone number was as he looked into the computer & then proceeded to try to bully me about an old review! The old review was for a Kindle Fire that I brought for my daughter I believe back in 2015 for Christmas! Charged the device & gift wrapped it! Wasn't until she opened it & for 3 days in a row she couldn't use the device because it wouldn't hold a charge! I immediately contacted them (the owner) letting him know the problem & that I had the original receipt! He refused to fix the problem not listening to the fact that it was a gift that was wrapped so we could not have known the issues the device was having until days after purchase! He didn't even want to hear it! Didn't offer a return at discounted price, NOTHING! I wrote the review in 2015 for that dispute, for him to then contact me after the fact & offered a refund! Fast forward to today... he immediately tried to bully me into taking down or fixing the review & I explained that I didn't get good service until the review was posted. He then tried to go back & forth about "I spoke to you that day years ago & everyone knows that I offer a refund within 3 days!" I then explained AGAIN that I told him over the phone in 2015 that it was wrapped for Christmas & we couldn't have possibly known it was faulty until the device was opened & used! He then said Oh! Yeah! As if he agrees & remembers the conversation but also slides my check back to me & refused services! I have gone here numerous times to cash checks from 2015 until now & never had an issue until today! The entitlement of this man is beyond believable! You do not get good reviews by trying to bully your way into one! You offer GOOD SERVICES in return for a good review! In the end the money I would get from my ebay sell was less than Ameripawn paid. Plus easy to do business with, nice people and took 10 min. Usually takes me that long just to list my item on ebay. Lastly they are a business in my community and I'd rather support them than ebay!

Just Poor customer service and no empathy…read more My brother has stage 3 brain cancer, and he has been dealing with a lot. He has been using this pawn shop off and on for 3+ years. Our father died suddenly and unexpectedly on 5/22/26. With my brother's chemo and the funeral, he forgot to pay for his Nintendo Switch to extend it. Not only did he NOT get a courtesy call, you would think that the owners or some type of manager would have called and informed especially as a long-time customer stating the loan is in default. Not only did they sell the item within 7 days- no one called him. I would strongly recommend if you have to use them, please check the dates on your pawn loans. They do not have your back as a long time customer.
