As the name suggests, the store tries to attract female customers. To this end they seem to concentrate on personal defense handguns and ammo. If you're new and not entirely comfortable with carrying full size guns shooting military calibers and up, the store has a lot of small pocket pistols in the recently popular and softer .380 ACP, in various colors. Naturally they also have a good selection of defense ammo in stock for that caliber. The owner has a cute and active orange tabby tomcat (named Ruger, appropriately) that loves to roam the store, jump onto the top shelves, and sneak into the glass display cases any chance he gets. There's always a few people there. I always get asked if I need help finding anything, which I usually do, and they always have what I am looking for or can get if for me. I noticed some comments about not helping load large items. As a mall owner myself, I understand that many employees are not able to lift heavy items and buyers should understand this. It is also a liability for small businesses to help load large furniture items. If the item gets damaged or a vehicle gets damaged during loading, the customer often tries to place blame on mall as opposed to accepting responsibly. We highly recommend this mall. We drive over 4 hours several times a year to visit here.

He said he would call me in the morning after he checked if it was there. I said it was an inconvenience because I live 14 miles away so it was a 28 mile round-trip for me to come and get it if it was there. No apology on his part. End of conversation. The next morning he called me and said the vase was there. I said I would come and get it. When I got there and he was putting the vase in the bag, he said "they tried to run after you, but they couldn't catch you." That was it. Still no apology, so: Me: No apology? Him: 14 miles is not far. (This is how I knew he was the same person I talked to last night). Me: It's a 28 miles round-trip plus the time, gas, and the inconvenience. Him: Do you want the vase or not? What a terrible way to treat a 30 year customer, or anyone for that matter. A simple apology for the error would have been the correct way to handle the situation. Needless to say, I'm done with Coachman Antique Mall.
