$40,000 vehicle story. Do not do business with this place. An absolute bottom of the barrel dealer. They will lie to you every step of the way to sell a trash vehicle they claim is tip-top. They buy vehicles from auction that look good at first glance but are absolute wrecks. They will tell you they are reviewed by professional mechanics and are top-notch...they aren't. This is basically a dirtbag used car dealer with nice salespeople. Then comes finance. Guy tells me they have a new system no one understands. Printed out an 84 month finance sheet and tried to get me to sign it after I made it clear I agreed to a 72 month term. Then the guy sells me a warranty, tells me it's a four year bumper to bumper warranty, but again his computer is messed up and can't show me the terms of the warranty. I come back a month later to get the terms sheet and it's a worthless drivetrain warranty. Well, they screwed me again. A month later after putting almost no miles on the vehicle, I find out they sold it with faulty brakes. They won't pay to fix them. The latest issue is I find out that it has the rust of a 20 year old vehicle and it's only four years old. Again, they buy trash vehicles from auction, lie to you about the condition, make their money and move on. DO NOT BUY FROM YHIS PLACE. Also, the pre collision sensor is broken. Stay away. Just stay away. Untrustworthy business. I even spoke to a mechanic who used to work for them and he said that they only fix what's immediately visible for test drives and they don't touch any long term fixes that they see. I purchased a vehicle from them end of July 2023 and within less than a week I've put over $400 into the vehicle and I have another appointment with my garage for August 17th because I am now having engine issues. They sold me a car with illegal treaded tires so I needed to purchase 3 new tires. On my drive home from the dealership my check engine light went on, so they did replace 2 CO2 censors (which seems to be a common occurance with them if you check reviews) but they did not give me any paperwork to prove it was done. My car had been totaled by a drunk driver and by the time my insurance paid me I only had one day before my rental was due back. After visiting 15 different dealerships, Lakeside was the only one left. I was upfront about the amount I could spend and I was told by the sales manager, Ethan, that he had a 2012 Kia Soul in my price range. I test drove it and liked it and then I'm informed it's actually 4k above what I can spend (14k for a 2012 soul? Really?). I got them down to $10,800, which was still above what I could do. After signing the paperwork, one of which stated that the windshield would be replaced due to a spider-webbing crack all the way across the front windshield, I left the dealership. I was told by Monday afternoon the car would be detailed and windshield replaced. I call that afternoon and was told the car was ready. They did NOT clean the car (dirt, dust, hair, smelly) and the windshield wasn't fixed. I was told the windshield would be fixed the next day, then I was told Wed, then I was told the replacement windshield broke so it would be the following Tuesday, then I was told Thursday. I've now received zero communication from the business or the person who is to replace the windshield. I also have yet to receive copies of the paperwork I signed and have requested it be mailed to me, but, again, no response. This is just the tip of the Iceberg. I have only had my Vehicle for 5 months and it started to give me issue from the time I received it. They blamed it on my breathalyzer. I took my vehicle back to where they input my breathalyzer and nothing was wrong with the wiring. I finally got the breathalyzer removed and still have the same issues with the vehicle. Now I have taken this vehicle in I don't know how many times, and I just get the run around. CJ, Shawn and James never once have taken my vehicle in and or serviced it, but put 121 miles on it and gave it back to me in worse condition. I have turned them into the BBB, and now have filed with the Attorney General. These individuals need to be accountable for there actions and taken out of the Dealership business. If everyone who writes a review or has bought a car from Lakeside we all need to get together an sue this Dealership for selling vehicles and warranty's that they do not honor. Now I don't know if Auto Dyne (Dan) is in on there action, but I am getting no where with them and they have sent me to 2 other locations that either do not exist or they say they will take me in and to no avail they are no where to be found or they don't call me back . Lakesides Auto Service has had my vehicle a 2nd time around for 3 1/2 days, and nothing except that they move my vehicle from one spot to another like they are doing something with it? I have spoken with them countlessly, and this time I have taken pictures, recorded text anything that I have and will continue to do so until my vehicle is fixed.(Keep in mind that my conversations go all the way back to 10/2023 when I had my vehicle for not even a month? If anyone reads this review please let us all get together and get a lawyer and get our vehicle issues resolved, or get this Dealership closed for selling faulty vehicles to customer with warranty's they do not honor. This place is the worst . Went to trade a 2015 gmc denali for a decent diesel due to work needs. The first truck we test drove check engine came on about hour later and hubs basically almost caught on fire and after taking it bck next day to have it checked out left us stranded on 125 and had to get towed . The injectors went out or something . No paperwork had even been signed to trade our truck or buy this one. Told them we just want our truck back , they told us its to late and we already made the deal. No paperwork signed they wouldn't even show me any paperwork. So they said basically shot out of luck or find one of their different trucks on the lot. It had been about 3 days losing work and money and feeling help less because they wouldn't give us our truck back. Basically got kicked out of dealership cause I was so pissed . Couldn't afford to fight and get lawyer. Ended up getting the only decent ford f350 close to same price as our trade about 28000 at least thats what we still owe. Bought it in july made first payment in sept. Right away problems started well mechanic said 15000 to fix this truck . We are basically stuck paying 500 a month plus full coverage for a piece of shit we didn't want in the first place Worst experience ever. Don't go there. Terrible place - just stay away. The check engine light came on as I left for home from dealership. They said they would take care of me but no, after one time in the shop and a quick "second look" they simply said just get new spark plugs and left me with a car that has constant issues. I think they reset my computer, which I have done too. Engine light stays off for a day or two, then comes back on . I got ripped off for sure- so don't make the same mistake I did. They screwed up the title paperwork and my temp tags are going to expire on the 5th, they refuse to give me another temp tag because I still have two days. They just turned in the title today, the 3rd, it's not going to be in the DMV system until tomorrow. They don't really care that I work all day, until the 6th. They also gave me the vehicle with just enough gas to get to the gas station. I was told they don't put gas in the vehicles when a person purchases it. Lakeside auto brokers is by far the worst place to go for used cars. They sold me a very nice Chrysler 200s and claimed to given me a great deal but hassled me for weeks to purchase a car and worked with me on my $2,500 down payment, that of which I still owe $450 but I refuse to pay anymore as the car they sold me has mechanical problems only having it a month now and I've spent well over $600 to repair, turns out the motor is bad and they refuse to service the vehicle until I pay the remaining balance. They are unprofessional, will not communicate with you and just want your money that they overcharge you! Never again should they be aloud to sell cars. I've filed a legal preceding with the courts and my lawyer. This is only a small part of the issues that arose. DO NOT BUY THEIR USED AND ABUSED CARS AND CARELESS SALESMEN OR MANAGEMENT. I would point out to all perusing these reviews that what may tell even more than the consistently poor reviews is the absolute absence of any reply by the dealership offering apologies or rectification. I know not every review is fair or accurate, but the consistent statements of poor service here is worth taking into account. I bought a used truck from Lakeside recently and the experience at the time of the deal was positive. Why wouldn't it be? I had an attractive trade in, and I acted as I always do when doing business in any capacity, with honesty and integrity. After having the truck for a couple days I identified a couple substantial issues that were obviously pre-existing. Admittedly, I handled these issues a way that was not entirely how they would have wished. I brought it to the factory dealership for repairs and inspection. I paid the bill totaling about 1500. After the repairs were complete I composed a well written email letter explaining my actions and requesting they consider reimbursing my expense. I called them a couple days later and asked if they received my email. They said they had, but have not read it. I explained the nature of the email. At that time they said they would have a look right away and get back to me. It has been a couple, maybe three weeks now with no response, not even an acknowledgement. How business has degraded these days when a polite, well written letter can not illicit an acknowledgment. I write this in hopes that I will receive a response from the business and that they may give a reasonable and serious consideration to my request. If that does not happen, I will indeed share more of the details of my experience that others might clearly understand where this dealership may fail them. If I receive satisfactory results, in all fairness I will share that as well. Thanks all, and stand by. Update: A few months have passed with no response to my emails to the dealership. They state they have their mechanics go over all the vehicles before they hit the lot. Simply put; They do not, or they have very poor mechanics. Transmission lines were leaking, radiator was leaking, and oil was 2 quarts low and very black. If you buy from these guys inspect the vehicle well, and do it in the light of day. Purchased a car and all seemed well until document signing time. I had told them in advance I was using my bank to finance. But when it came time to sign the paperwork, suddenly the demeanor of the sales guy changed. He adopted an impatient attitude as he had me signing paperwork and yanking away each document as signed and replacing it quickly with another. Finally we got to a multi copy "Retail Installment Sale Contract" with different finance terms than my bank was going to give me. I said this is wrong, and dealer said, oh, it's just for the DMV. On the top (the tear off portion) he wrote "For DMV only". On the tear off portion... I wrote "For DMV only" in the body of the contract and asked them to sign it. At that point they said never mind, we don't need it and tore it up. Only THEN did they ask me for my bank information. I also got in a hurry (they were closing) and left my CD's in the player of my trade in. I called next morning and they said "Oh, the car is in the detail shop but we"ll call over and get them for you". Dealer (Jeremy) said car would be back in the afternoon, I stopped by. Got met by two guys at the door saying the sales guy had gone home. NO CD's nor any further contact. I hope this paints a picture for you and I'll never go back. read more

Lakeside Auto Brokers far exceeds the reputation of an unethical and sleazy used car dealership. I purchased a used vehicle for cash, only to be contacted the next day by my salesman demanding I return the temp tags they had issued me. According to the Lakeside, CO state law requires buyers to provide their own temp tags for vehicles purchased for less than $3,000. They tried to bully me into returning the tags and intimidate me by threatening to send someone to my house only to send me a text saying they voided them out and "recommend I make an appointment with the DMV to purchase a new one." Only after fact checking this alleged state law and learning it is a dealer policy and not the law, and advising them I would be filing a complaint with the Auto Industry Division and the Better Business Bureau did the General Manager, CJ contact me offering resolution. While the tags were reissued in the end, at no time did CJ offer an apology or explanation nor did he admit any wrongdoing on his or his employees part. It's so unfortunate that Lakeside's business practices are so unethical that customers have to resort to filing complaints in order for them to do the right thing. read more

We were into the dealership to loo k ata truck, found a truck that was to our liking, but it needed some work, was told by the sales person Mark the vehicle had just come into the dealership and had not be detained. Ok I could live with that. We were offering to purchase the vehicle for cash, and after a couple of hours of negations with Mark a price was agreed to by my wife an the sales person. I was told a $500 refundable deposit would be required to hold the vehicle, which I paid. The following day, when the detail work was to be completed, I was not called, as I had been requested, but had to call myself, and found that the price for the vehicle had increased $2300, and when I questioned this Mark stated that is what the wife had agreed to , but I specifically asked at that time the amount I was to bring and like I say was a lot higher then I had been told. When asked about the $500 I was told it was not refundable. My Husband and I are from fountain and our vehicles got totaled from the hail in june. We went to Lakeside because we was interested in a 2005 caddy escalade put $500 down and a 2014 range rover put $1000. We took both vehicles home. We had the 2005 for four days and put on a computer and 2 sheets of codes came up so we took it back and exchanged it for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. All this time we asked if the financing for the rover went thru and they kept telling us it's fine. They messed up on the paperwork for Toyota twice, so we had to keep going back in to sign new paperwork. We had the range rover for a month and a half found out they falsified my income so the bank denied us...10 days later they still haven't given us our down payment back wich they said had been authorized to be refunded. We went to stevinson lexus in lakewood, bought a 2014 range rover for 5 grand less and got financed in a few hrs. read more

Mark, the manager said, "thats fine. Some soldier returning from deployment with a few thousand dollars saved won't care its price and will get a 72 month loan on it and be thrilled." I am service connected disabled and WORK with these returning warriors that have anxiety, PTSD, depression and this attitude is not ok with me...to take advantage of people just looking for some good in their life. I put a down payment of $10,500. on a Hummer H2 that turned out to be a giant lawn ornament. I've only had it for 2 1/2 weeks and can't drive it anywhere, because the speedometer isn't working, service airbag light is on, the sales rep told me that it was a recall item and I would have to go to a GM Service rep to have it fix/replace, this was told after the contract was signed. The tires have been deflated to 35psi to cover the dry rotted tires, in which I have to inflate every other day... Standard psi for tires of that size (37x13.50 22's) are 56psi. The rear air suspension blew (from dry rot) causing me to lose control of the vehicle and coming very close to running off the edge of HWY 24 coming from Woodland Park. They also gave me a remote fob that fell apart as soon as I took the scotch tape off and will not work, they told me that they will give me the spare key and fob the following Monday. I have been calling and asking for a replacement since "day 1" and am getting nothing but excuses. As for the fixing of the vehicle, they are giving the run around with that as well. Is there a law that prohibits any business from (knowingly) selling any unsafe recalls? I am seeking legal action. If you have sought legal action against this dealership, please share any info you may have for a good Attorney. read more

The finance manager (Dan) made the paperwork very simple and easy. Not a whole lot of haggling, and very willing to negotiate! Chris Kliner found me the EXACT vehicle that I was looking for, in excellent condition (2006 Mustang GT). Very shady sales practices. They waited until after I signed the papers to tell me they do not service their vehicles and I should have it looked at immediately. They acted like they lowered the price for me but really they just didn't charge the sales tax. They told me the taxes would be around $300 and when I went to the DMV, they were actually over $500. I had just moved into town and was hit by a gravel truck that totaled my old car, I had spent every last dime I had on the car they sold me, they knew this and still took advantage of me. The sales team was extremely pushy and I felt very pressured. I had to replace the fuel pump and brakes 2 weeks after I bought it. The car also stalls frequently. I gave them 2 opportunities to at least attempt to make it right and when I went in to talk to someone about the many problems (I asked to speak w/ a manager) I was told by 4 different guys that they were the manager and that they couldn't help me. 10 months ago my husband and I bought a 06 Honda Civic with about 25,000 miles and the outside of the car was not the best but it still ran fine and the engine looked good from what we could see anyway. Last week Friday (3/9/18) the engine (at this time only at 60,009 miles) somehow cracked out of nowhere, it was nothing caused by us because we took very great care of the car so we had to get it towed. We were informed to get a warranty on the car in case something like this happened so we did and not only did we get the warranty we were advised to get the highest warranty (Level 4) that they had! Come to find out the warranty doesn't cover the cracked engine it only covers the lubricated parts on the inside how stupid is that!! We talked to several of the warranty people and they all told us the same thing!! So in all, Lakeside Auto sold us a car way more than the car price should have been and their only excuse was because of the miles, they did not give us a good price on our 2 car trade ins that we did which were in great condition, they gave us a crappy warranty that we cannot use at all which is very upsetting and they are likely tricking others into buying that no good, garbage warranty and last but not least, they put us into negative equity and its really hard now to not only trade this car in for another one but to also get another car. Because of these jokers our credit is taking a hit. Word of advice, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! They will say what you want to hear but will not help you once everything is done and continue to sell you bogus crap! Pretty much if things go wrong, (with one of their vehicles it likely will) they will leave you in the dark to fight it alone!! They know they charge people too much for a car they could find less else where and they know their warranty doesn't cover anything serious but yet still trick people into getting them!! Lesson learned will never do business with these shady people ever again and I will inform friends, family and anyone else that is willing to listen!
