I started going to this new dentist and I have had multiple complaints since I have been going. The wait time is astronomically long. The front desk ladies are most of the time short and rude. I had fillings done here and there was one lady who was the assistant (I can't remember her name) but if I seem even in the slightest uncomfy with her she would get defensive telling me she has "college and a lot of experience". She would get really rough with my teeth and pull and jerk without caring how I was. They don't seem to care about your time. I went in for a 12 pm appointment and I waited at least 35 minutes to be talked to. Then when I was talked to, they said they needed to run my insurance and not sure they even did that as they came back with just a recommendation for a root canal to be done somewhere which btw took another 25 to 30 minutes on top of that. I simply came in just for an estimate on my tooth. It shouldn't have taken over an hour to make that happen. All of the bad reviews I am seeing makes so much sense to me now. In fact, before I even went here, google reviews said 4 point something stars so I said ooh sounds good! I am not going back here and going to my old dentist since they actually CARED about people's wellbeing and time. Don't go here! read more

I had a 8 AM appointment today. I wasn't sure if i was at the right place. There is a Tomoka Family Dental and a Ormond Family Dental. I inquired and was told it was there that I had the appointment BUT they had tired to notify me that I would need a " Consultation " and therefore would have to make another appointment. When I made the appointment for today' I was told," I was in the system".The lady said that they were unable to reach me. I said I have had the same email address for twenty three years. I was never so uncomfortable in a dentist office before. There was a dirty rag on the floor in the room I was in, and the place felt dirty. The doctor came in, didn't even introduce himself and acted uninterested. The girls at the desk were very nice and the man helping was also nice, but he kept touching things with his gloved hands, then rubbing his gloved hands over the plastic cover for the X-ray thing to put in my mouth. Very unsanitary. I made another appointment but then I canceled. I just can't bring myself to go back there. I was hoping things would turn out better. I have dental insurance with my Medicare plan and Ormond Family Dental was listed as a provider. They did full mouth X-rays and then the dentist came in and introduced herself. She proceeded to tell me I needed a crown replaced and another crown placed on the next tooth. She didn't do a thorough oral exam or check the gums. She said that the office manager would be in to discuss cost. I asked about dental cleaning, which is what I wanted in the first place. She informed me that it wouldn't be done today. It turned out the dental cleaning wouldn't be for another 4 months. I've had my teeth examined and cleaned twice a year for 30 years. I felt the practice is much more interested in money, than patient care. I would not recommend this practice. read more

I was told they could save my teach. A very expensive deep cleaning recommended. They did not have an appt, so they told me they would call me later. They never did. I went to another dentist and was told my gums were fine. I am 50 years old and have never had a cavity or any dental work. They tried to do unnecessary work on me. I paid $48 out of pocket at the 2nd dentist. My husband was told he had 3 cavities and needed 3 caps and deep cleaning. After a financial team figured up the cost, they would call. They never did. He went to another dentist and had NO cavities. One cap possibly needed but it could wait since it's been 25 years since his injury. He does have severe gingivitis and needs extensive cleaning. I am 74 years old and have had a great experience at Ormond Family Dental. Staff is great and Dr Vishal Bhambi is wonderful. Patient and kind to us seniors who want to know how much plus a lot of other questions. My top denture is beautiful I have gave his cards out and have several people who are interested. Ormond family dental takes Humana insurance. Humana pays for an exam, x-rays and a cleaning. OK, this is what I asked for. Then I was told I had to pay $164 because I needed a deep pocket cleaning! OK, I paid it. Then I get a phone call that says they only need to clean but not do the deep pocket cleaning. I say, OK, then please refund my $164. She says the middle of the road cleaning is also $164. I say OK then refund my $164 and I'll just have the regular cleaning that's covered by my insurance. She says they can't do it now because I have bacteria in my mouth. Is there anyone on the face of the earth it doesn't have bacteria in their mouth? Got my money refunded to my credit card. Went in at the end of the year and started treatment requiring 8 extractions, First visit for x-rays ended up there for over 4 hours, Dentist is really nice so I let it pass. Prepaid for all of the extractions and got the first four done just before Christmas, this time was in the chair for over 6 hours. I had an insurance change at the beginning of the year and now somehow they are not getting anywhere with insurance, I tried calling insurance and was told my new insurance no longer covered the extractions. Not sure if insurance paid for anything now, and the office staff was rude and argumentative when I was trying to figure out whether or not I was going to get the last four extractions. Basically told that what I prepaid went to what insurance didn't pay for and not getting them done now. Do not go to this dentist, they should lose their license honestly!! I went because I needed a crown to a few root canals I'd had done. They measured my tooth, I came back to have the crown put on and they didn't have it. Well the story doesn't end here, after coming back a few times, once with them saying "Oh the lab says they didn't get your impression " The next time they had a cap but the cap didn't fit my tooth right so they had to send it back again. Finally by the time they put it on I had found another dentist. That dentist told me that they left a gap and it wasn't properly put on. Great!! Because of my new dental plan for 2022, I had to choose a new dentist that is in my network. I found and made an appointment with Ormond Family Dental, and I am so glad I did. The minute I walked in I felt so comfortable and welcomed. While 4 of us were in the waiting room, Dr. Bhambri popped his head into the waiting room and said, "Hello everybody." That in itself made me feel welcomed. I would highly recommend Ormond Family Dental to everyone. You won't be sorry. And the staff is just as welcoming as the Dr. was. STAY AWAY! Doctor wields the drill like a tomahawk and jerks all over your mouth while suffocating you with water. Was expecting to come in for ONE filling, but 3 hours and 4 fillings later I had to drink half a bottle of liquor just to sleep that night! When I went back the next day because the pain is keeping me from eating or sleeping, she gives me a prescription for MOUTHWASH even after complaining to the administrator! I first went to have Dr. Patel install two implant crowns. Turns out Dr. Patel only works with one kind of implant (not mine), so they not only were charging @ 3000 just for the installation, I was also expected to spend more than $1000 to purchase the kit they would need to do it. Needless to say, I went elsewhere and had the work done for a reasonable price with no extra charges. So I went back the other day to re-cement an old crown that came loose 4 days ago. The office staff tried to collect payment right away, without explaining what the charges I asked: X-ray and "limited visit." I declined the X-ray, because they already had recent X-rays and X-rays are damaging though sometimes necessary, but not in this case. The office lady insisted taking an X-ray (needed or not) is company policy. Crowns do fall off after about 20 years or so, and just need to be re-cemented (I've had this done a couple times before). Now, if the doctor had looked at the tooth and saw indications of a problem that required an X-ray, that's one thing. but a policy of X-raying every time you walk through the door before seeing the doctor whether you need it or not is malpractice, IMO. The office lady practically gave me the finger when I said I'd go elsewhere. Every experience at this practice indicates their main purpose generating the most income for the practice. They're pointlessly curt and your health doesn't seem to concern them one bit. read more

I chose Ormond Family Dental because they accepted my Solstice One Dental Plan. After reading some of the reviews I was nearly frightened away. I am SO GLAD that I gave them a chance! I made my initial appointment which included the xrays and treatment plan. I met Dr. Weiss during that visit as well because I had an old crown that was giving me some grief and I wanted his input. He was soft spoken but professional and direct. I met with Belinda and she gave me the financial plan and made my next appointments. I saw Quianna this AM for a cleaning. She did a great job. My teeth look and feel really clean. Later I saw Dr. Weiss and his assistant Brianna to have the old crown removed and prepped for the new one. Dr. Weiss was gentle, fast and efficient. Once the impressions were done, Brianna shaped the temporary and cemented it in. It fits well and the permanent one will be ready in a couple of weeks. I am extremely pleased with this practice and I hope that those of you reading this will give them a chance as well. read more

I went to this Dental office because I was having problem with mt tooth. Which was considered a "consult" so the hygienist took a panoramic xray. I already knew what my outcome was going to be because I had 2 prior exams by 2 other dentists. However, the Dr. Came into the room looked at my xray and said he could do a root canal on the tooth.I said you mean you can save my tooth? He (Dr.) said yes, I could do the root canal and take it from there..I was really ticted inside because 2 previous dentists told me the tooth was not able to be saved.Then! The Dr. Said oh...let me look a little closer in your mouth so he looks in my mouth and said yeah the tooth isn't save able! I was heated inside I said to the Dr. You mean you couldn't tell by the xray that you could save my tooth but you can look into my mouth and then say oh no it's not able to be saved..Bull! I knew That I was being lied to. What I felt was This Dr was going to try to do this root canal for the money! Knowing my tooth was not able to be saved! then. The Dr went right into talking to me about future implants and bridges.So off the concern for my reasons for even being at this dental office in the first place..I was there trying to be sold this and sold that..bottom line I needed this tooth extracted and the dr. Seemed to be more concerned with implants and bridges!! I asked if there was any other issues with my teeth The dr. Said we wont talk about that now because you came here for a certain issue.. Was that a hard question to ask!?Even how mad I was I made the appointment to have my tooth extracted.On the plus side no issues with the extraction! Weeks later I called the office about a tooth placement for the tooth that was extracted because the office girl said she will submit a pre autherasatio n to my insurance company and would call me .needless to say I never received any call..The office said they did call me and left a message ( another lie) Here is the kicker...I wanted to have my teeth cleaned..I was told without a comprehensive exam 1st they cant do it.long story short..I went in for this comprehensive exam.. One thing I forgot to mention to you all is I worked for a dentist for 5yrs so I have knowledge...in this field. The hygienist who did my exam with another hygienist one did the exam the other wrote it down...So the examiner said to the lady writing thing down said she has a bulging tooth on number 15..because she has no bottom tooth to support the top tooth.. I thought to my self I'm not missing any bottom teeth I even felt with my finger counting my teeth .I was confused..Then I finally said I'm not missing any teeth under #15 tooth ..she said to me (sarcastically) Are you Juanita..? I said, yes I am ,she said ,well this is your xray and your missing teeth..I said no Im not! She looked and said oh your not.. she looked at the xray and it was not even my xray!!! You couldn't see that...what if I didn't have some dental knowledge!!. This office told my husband and myself we had onset periodontal disease really! I have gone to a dentist 2x a year for years and was Never told that! I move to Florida and Now I have periodic issues my gums dont bleed easy! I felt this office was all about dollar signs...and Nothing about the care of the patient .In my entire life this far I have never one felt so aggravated, and annoyed as I did going here.plus I never ever walked out of a dental office in my Life with a ten page treatment plan! The staff were ok. I made an appointment for an exam and cleaning. When I arrived I had to wait 30 minutes to go back. Once I was seated in the chair I was told that I was not having a cleaning just and exam and x-rays. I was a bit disappointed but agreed to schedule the cleaning another time. The dentist told me I had bone loss and tried to sell me two implants totally over 8 thousand dollars and when I asked about making an appointment for a cleaning, I was told they were not going to be able to do a regular cleaning I needed to have deep cleaning and that would be over $1,000.00 I was in the dental industry prior and know when the dental office is trying to sell you unwanted procedures. I will NEVER go back to Ormond Family Dental and will never recommend them to anyone. I proceeded to call my old dental office and will be going in later today for a regular cleaning. I was told they accepted my insurance but when I was given the estimate for unnecessary procedures, they told me that my insurance did not cover anything. read more

Please beware this "dentist." The woman in the pictures is no longer there. The practitioner was Dr. Dhiren Agrawal (google him). I had a very creepy and troubling experience here, when I purchased a $35 Groupon for an exam, cleaning and x-rays with a dentist supposedly at this location. After the x-rays I was taken to a cleaning chair and immediately given a dental exam with someone named Dr. Dhiren Agrawal who did not introduce himself to me by name or explain why the other dentist was not there. I've also never experienced an exam BEFORE a cleaning, but the hygienist was friendly, so I didn't question it, thinking maybe this was a new thing dentists were doing. I was then told by Dr. Dhiren Agrawal that I needed to reschedule my cleaning for a few days later without explanation or an apology. He then walked away quickly leaving me sitting in the chair for at least 10 minutes before I made my way back out to the receptionists desk to find out what was going on. When I arrived at the desk, the receptionist spent the next 5 minutes printing a bill for nearly $400 because I needed a "special" deep pocket cleaning procedure. They then pressured me to sign a contract agreeing to the exorbitantly expensive procedure (I literally have never had a cavity or other dental problems other than having my wisdom teeth removed). Sensing something was clearly wrong, I declined the procedure and requested a partial refund for the Groupon. At this point, the office manager led me into a small corner office under the pretense of offering a discount. Keep in mind I am of course concerned that I've had some sudden serious problems with my teeth. Dr. Agrawal was in the office and immediately left without exchanging words or eye contact. The office manager then threatened me saying that she could make me pay full cost for x-rays and the dental exam because I didn't read the fine-print of the Groupon, so I'd better just pay for the Groupon AND the additional procedure and not report it to anyone. (This was not in the fine print, as Groupon has a satisfaction guarantee). I said "no, thank you," and headed back out to the car. After a few moments, I went back to get the original dentist's contact information and was told by the staff that she is no longer involved with Ormond Family Dentistry. At this point I looked at the posted dental operating license in the waiting room and noticed it had expired February 28, 2016 and still had the original dentist's name on it. (I took a picture of this and can provide it upon request). I definitely DO NOT recommend buying the Groupon or going here as they were deliberately dishonest and manipulative. I chose this dentist based on the good reviews I found for Dr. Aljonaidy, HOWEVER, this is not the dentist that is currently practicing at Ormond Family Dental (even though they haven't taken down her picture from their website or her license from their wall). Instead, I found out while in the chair that my exam would be done by Dhiren Agrawal. This was not a huge deal for me, but I know some people have preferences about whether their dentist is male/female and at the very least would want to be reading reviews for the right person when they research dentists. I found their system for a basic dental appointment to be unlike that of any dentist I have ever been to. I was first given x-rays by one person, then had another person measure my gum line. She told me I would need a cleaning and she would be doing it. I found that to be odd because usually the main reason people go to a dentist is for a cleaning, so I would have hoped I would be getting one! Then Dr. Agrawal came in and looked at the x-rays and told me I would need to come back later in the week for a cleaning. Again, I have never scheduled a dentist appointment only to be told that I had to schedule another one for the main purpose of the appointment, which was a cleaning! Luckily, the friendly hygienist who had measured my gums earlier said she could do it that same day. The cleaning was fine, but not as gentle as some dentists I have been to in the past. If someone would have just explained who was doing what and what was going on, it would have helped a lot. I felt like I spent a lot of the appointment sitting confused in the chair. Overall, I just thought the whole thing was weird. The idea of having to schedule two appointments for a basic cleaning plus the misrepresentation of their currently practicing dentist made me think there was something going on there. I'm new to the area and randomly picked this place. I called to schedule a cleaning. They gave me a date and I showed up. I walk in the back and they give me a gum depth evaluation or whatever it's called. That's not normally a part of the cleaning but ok, I went with it. Then they came in to do X-rays. I told them that I only came in for a cleaning. Their response was that this was part of the new patient intake. Ok, whatever. Then the dentist comes in says everything is ok and I'm like duh! I knew that that's why I just asked for a cleaning. Well, we won't be doing a cleaning today. This was just your new patient appointment so we know what we're working with. In other words we lied to you and we're charging your insurance company the maximum amount we can. So I had to schedule a cleaning 3 weeks out. Geesh! I show up to the cleaning and I was lucky enough to get Nurse Ratchet! Holy crap! This woman was rough! She jammed the cleaning drill so far down into my gums that I kept flinching. Then when she was picking my teeth she kept jamming the mirror into my gums. Then the polishing tool was all over the place and she kept banging it into my teeth. Worst experience with a cleaning in my life. Never going back there. read more

I do NOT recommend doing any type of business with this office. Very unprofessional....Dhiren Agrawal is not competent as a dentist. He should not be practicing dentistry nor should he be dealing with the public. The staff was rude and clearly lacked experience. Dr. Agrawal hires only newly graduated dentists. We had originally met with Dr. Ajonaidy and were quite satisfied. But when we returned for some crown work we were surprised that she had left the practice and left her patients with Dr. Agrawal. He was short tempered and seemed that we were disturbing him every time we asked a question. Dr. Agrawal installed two temporary crowns on my wife. Before leaving the office, my wife told the dentist that the crowns had shifted and that they were irritating her gums. Dr. Agrawal seemed bothered and told my wife that all was ok and that she was imagining that they shifted. My wife also asked that since he decided to glue both crowns together that this provented her from flossing such teeth. Again, it seemed that we were disturbing him and Dr. Agrawal replied that all was correct. After a rough night of pain and discomfort, we decided to seek a second opinion. The third party dentist was astonished that such shoddy dental work could be preformed by a professional. She called Dr. Agrawal before us and mentioned that the the crowns were not installed properly and that my wife's gums were already irritated because she could not floss between the two teeth. She asked him to redo the crowns and to separate them and to polish the the finish (note: the exterieur finish was rough and has a point that was pressing against her cheek). We were forced to return to Dr. Agrawal's office three times to redo the crown installation. Not only was the installation never preformed right, Dr. Agrawal did not have courtesy to meet or greet with us once! Dr. Agrawal does NOT care about his patients.....he is very unpleasant and unprofessional. Please do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. I cannot recommend this dental office to my worst enemy. I went there because I was having a painful issue with a upper molar that I knew was in bad shape..needed a root canal or extracted. The dentist looked at the xrays..checked my receding gum line..told me the tooth was fine and that I needed a bridge to support the tooth and a full work up. Never did a hot cold or air test to determine if the tooth was compromised. I left there and saw another dentist 2 weeks later because I was still in pain. Took antibiotics and had to have the tooth pulled. The root was severely infected. I spent 60 dollars at Ormond family dentistry for a free exam and xrays...not sure what the 60 bucks was for. The dental assistant and the ladies at the front desk were fabulous !. Thanks to them. However, I will not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

He prescribes a vague and inaccurate treatment plan, which contains many unnecessary procedures, only to collect as much profits as possible for the dental office. Financing: Finance and billing is performed by Senita, the office manager, who creates a list of procedures extremely longer than what was prescribed by the dentist. This results in an over-priced bill that contains many unnecessary procedures and fraud codes do not exist. Senita also is practicing medicine without license.
