It's nice and shaded with a few picnic tables under. There's ample parking, also. Bathrooms (with flushing toilets) are also close by the splash area. Their playground is worth a stop, alone! Several sections that are all right next to each other. Soft padded ground. There swings for both toddlers and older kids, several slides, monkey bars and ramps. We grew up on property that bordered this park and it has changed for the better over the years…read more Back in the early 80's it was a "party destination" for teenagers in the evening and nature lovers during the day. The park has changed drastically over the years and is a well run and well monitored park now and it is meticulously maintained. The park offers "natural" walking trails (grass) that are easy to navigate no matter what your age and there are 2 bodies of water located on the property. One has a Duck Blind type building to allow for viewing of the different range of birds that come in and out of the park and the other is a big body of water that you get fairly close too when on the trails. Tremendous amounts of wildlife reside here as well as some of the prettiest trees, plants and flowers you will find, although please note this is a "nature preserve" so you are not allowed to take ANYTHING from here. The park rangers keep close tabs on anyone and have been know to search your bags/backpacks if they suspect anything at all is being removed. The fines are pretty hefty so please keep that in mind. There are maps of the trails at the entrance and it would be TOUGH to get lost here.

This is a beautiful little park with a lot of areas to explore. When you pull into the main parking…read morelot, you find yourself in a busy area featuring a large red barn, a playground, and an open air shelter. If you head to the left, you can cross a little bridge over a creek that takes you into a very nice natural play area, which includes a slide, a ring of boulders to climb and jump from, the aforementioned creek that you can enjoy some creeking in, and a little wooded area with a mini dirt trail. The playground and open air shelter were packed when we visited, but the natural play area was completely empty. We enjoyed the opportunity to fully explore and try out each of the activities. If you continue along the paved trail up the hill, you can take it to the left to visit a small prairie and head up a connector to a greenway trail, or you can take a right and loop through Gantz Park. As you loop around, you'll find a lovely gazebo surrounded by beautiful flowers, and then another bridge that takes you into the gardens area (which is located to the right of the parking lot when you are facing the playground and red barn, so you could also just go straight there if that's your interest). The gardens are very fun, such as a rain garden, a community-type garden, native plants, herb garden, knot garden, and the like. In addition to the beautiful plants, there is a lot of wonderful art and sculptures throughout, and a very nice labyrinth to walk and get some nice meditation in. It was very relaxing despite its proximity to the noisy parking lot and playground. Well worth a visit whether you're getting out with the kids or looking to enjoy the gardens!

I hear that the splash park in Dublin is really crowded, this would be a great alternative. There is also a nice looking playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a shelter house with picnic tables. The only unsightly thing about the park were the racist comments spray painted on the rec center there. But as we were leaving, some men from the city were there to clean it up. I highly recommend this park/splash park.

There we're some kids playing Basketball and some adults playing Tennis. There is a playground too. And the best part is when it hits night, I mean there are these insects that have glowing things on them and they just all rise up. Simply amazing!
