It had to be rescheduled and pushed back several times due to the doctor's "busy" schedule. We spoke for an hour and I was very optimistic that she could provide great care in the areas of concern. I was a little surprised at the initial fee of $400, but thought she's going to help me. I had my blood drawn soon after and waited for the office to notify me. After many weeks I had to reach out several times regarding my blood work results. I was told this was a "provider" issue, basically the doctor is too busy. I was finally scheduled an appointment for the end of March. I received a call on the day of the appointment that the doctor would be running late and could we push the appointment out another hour. I agreed, but made it clear I did not have the extra time to wait once I arrived. I arrived on time and waited an hour. The doctor still had not shown up, so I had to leave. I received no calls to follow up on my appointment. I called the next week and the secretary was surprised the doctor hadn't called me. I was not. She called 2 days later at 8 in the evening to tell me how busy she's been working at the hospital and that she didn't mean to make me feel invaluable. She proceeded to tell me about my blood work results and then message got cut off. I called to see how I was supposed to proceed and got no answer. At this point I feel the doctor did not follow through with her promises and believe I deserve my money back as I received zero care and a lot of hassle. The secretary is also hostile and is obviously tired of dealing with disgruntled patients as I'm sure this is a regular occurrence. This is by far the worst run office and doctor experience I've ever had.

If you are too busy, I know it's tough but stop seeing new patients. Better to give your time to existing patients and not jeopardize new patients care and time.

So really, if you use Lakeside Medical Associates as your primary Adult care, they have other groups available for the whole family. One thing that I think I have noticed is that she expects you to try and improve and take care of your health better and if you are trying more it seems she will focus more energy into helping you improve all aspects of your health. She quickly said "You were supposed to be here at 10:30am." I'm like what time is it now? She stated 10:47am. I asked why 10:30am and she said to complete paperwork. I then said questionably "in addition to me completing it within the patient portal?". Her response was of "I don't know why that's offered, it doesn't work." She gathered the documents and handed them to me but not before saying "quickly fill out....we might have to reschedule you." With a puzzled look on my face, I say you should ask Branden Blanton BEFORE I manually complete this paperwork. She does and returns to say HE CAN'T SEE YOU TODAY. My appointment was at 11am, WTH!!!! She says we're going to reschedule you. I agree and tell her only with Dr. McLeroy. She goes on about completing the paperwork, which begins to frustrate me. I told her to refund my payment made through the patient portal and left. I have never been turned away from any doctor appointments!!!! Would have ENJOYED being her newest patient because of a family referral and patient reviews! UPDATE: Before leaving her office, I told them to refund me. As of today, no refund. Called spoke with Daja asked for billing and before she hung upon me, she said they didn't have a billing department. I called back, Maggie answered and I asked where's my refund?
