Was called told it would be $156 to repair--but not sure they could guarantee it would start. Decided to not do repair and asked what we owed for their efforts. Told $39 and we went to pick it up. My husband went in paid the bill and asked where it was--told over there-in pieces. He came back to the car to find a box; put the pieces in, dragged the rest of the cart to the front door--I jumped out of he car to open the door and helped him bring it to the car. We struggled but loaded it in--a rag was stuffed in it to sop up the gas. No one helped him and no one put the pieces they took off back together. Never been treated so disrespectfully at any store in Battle Creek. Not a store we would go back to sadly.

A week later, my husband called and the lady at the hardware store was very snotty to him on the phone "Did anyone call you yet?" with a lot of sass--that was June 3. My husband called again June 20 -- no answer yet. Another time he called, he got the snotty woman again. After them having our rototiller for a YEAR, charging us $30 to put it in the corner of the repair shop and forget about it -- the repair person even said he thought was it was a junk unit when my husband called March 20, 2020. My husband called a total of 9 times. Urbandale returned 1 phone call. Most of the calls, he heard, "repairman is on lunch" or "repairman is gone for the day" or the famous line -- the part is on back order and will be in in 1 week. When my husband did talk with the repair person, it was supposed to be repaired in a week (again), but no one called; and when my husband finally did talk with the repair person, he said, "oh, didn't anyone tell you that unit is junk?" So whether the repair department is a separate business from the hardware store, both areas are unreliable and useless! Whether you talk to the repair person or a person working in the store, "1 week" seems to be the common excuse, but don't hold your breath waiting for a call! This is a very disappointing business!

All the other stores sell items for half that. Everything is 40%-100% higher priced here. Menards, Lowes and home Depot are cheaper. At least all the other stores would honor the price that was shown on the shelf. They didn't. I will never go back here again. Some odd tht staff aren't friendly at all. I feel that they are annoyed with you being in the store. What really upsets me the most is that online it shows items that are in the store and a certain price when you go to the store they don't even carry that item. Unbelievable. This happened to at least 17 items that I saw online. How stupid is that. This place sucks! If you want to over spend go here. If not avoid this store. I am.
