His nurse Amber was very sweet and was able to get my echo done today as well with this visit. The two AA ladies who did my preworkup (history and EKG) were magnificent as well (Sorry I dont know your names). The echo technician was excellent. She was super, super nice and engaged in great conversation during the test. It was so full in the lobby when I got there, but one of the checkout ladies came from her desk to check people in from her hand held device to assist the the ladies working the four check in windows. I was very impressed with that.

Dr. Kinnebrew would not touch my shoulder until I had my ruptured discs repaired. He did, however give me cortisone injections to ease the pain. I saw him after my neck surgery and he wanted to try physical therapy first. I can tell you this; Dr. Kinnebrew does not do the PT, he has a group in his building that does and that is a plus for me. I don't want to drive all over town getting care. I have not seen the man Bob N from Byron described. I KNOW Dr Kinnebrew isn't a yes man for the insurance companies but I also know he is smart enough to recognize a sandbagger wanting to be out of work longer than needed. I would rather have a brilliant, orthoepedic surgeon, very knowledgeable, a loving husband and father, who doesn't mince words in getting to the diagnosis and treatment, than a song and dance man, hemming and hawing about what might be the best thing to do. Dr. Kinnebrew is a fine surgeon, and excellent diagnostician. He might run late because of emergencies at the hospital or another patient needing him longer. He spends as much time with each patient as he needs to. He does see many patients, because he is the best in the area. Bring a book and be patient. You won't be disappointed. Instead of their own capabilities they wanted a limited income person to spend additional money on something as simple as a knee brace. And now, with prescriptions that a person has taken regularly for years (from this doctor) for diabetes, we have had to spend from our limited income because they wont answer phones, or messages left behind. We started calling 2 weeks in advance and still nothing. Even the pharmacy called them multiple times and got nothing. They are woefully arrogant, seriously incompetent and if anyone needs a real doctor - DON'T GO HERE!

Peake's Social Worker, Leigh Ann, worked with the family to set up our veteran's ability to participate in person. Peake's transportation person, Willie Mae, volunteered to come in on a Saturday to transport our special veteran safely and on time. The MGHF family deeply appreciates Peake's cooperation and assistance to get this veteran to his special event.
