I don't feel guilty when I leave to go to work knowing that her Furry Baby dog walker will give her the time of her life! Not only that but she had some big cuts on her. They told me "it was from really rough play". Which I thought was weird because I thought they had staff to watch them???? Anyways I knew something wasn't right because she plays with a mastiff puppy for hours on end and has never come home like that... To make a long story short. We're very pleased with the level of service Lali provides. After a meet-and-greet that seemed to go well, the first day she came to take care of Bogart was a problem: the dog wouldn't approach her. This was my bad, as Bogart has not been appropriately socialized with other people. After discussing the situation with her from across the country, we agreed on an approach and within two days she had him on lead and out and about as originally expected. The ability to have the same person showing up every day is so important for us. The "app" dog walking services just can't seem to do this. Very Caring One of our 2 dachshunds suddenly died this year and the other one has terrible separation anxiety after losing his mate of 12 years. We tried taking Franky with us on a short overnight trip as a test but that didn't go too well so when we got the opportunity to go to Hawaii we were concerned about what to do. That's when we researched and called Lali, she was very friendly, always in contact and showed up on time. She asked questions we didn't even consider so we felt in good hands. On our trip Lali sent pictures along with updates on how Franky was doing. Unfortunately Franky began to bark through the night after a couple nights so Lali actually took him in to be boarded at our vet by our request for the last few nights. Because Minnie is part of the hyper but adorable Schnauzer breed, she normally is a barker when it comes to weird noises/people she has never seen before and is just full of energy. But when she came back, my husband and I noticed she was more calm. We think the one-on-one care in a more intimate setting has helped her. She was exposed to different types of people and was able to socialize with doggies too (but not too many like at daycare places that normally care for 15-20 dogs at once with only 1 caregiver who just stands over them with no interaction, but just to clean up accidents). Like usual, I put off finding a dog walker/overnight situation for my lab until just days before we left town. We're new in town, so I was a little nervous. She even worked around my schedule for the initial consultation, coming on her birthday before her big birthday dinner! Now that's dedication. While we were gone, I received many picture texts and updates on how our lab was doing, and came home to find a little journal with notes for each walk as well. She took our lab on a little run to get her energy out--if you know labs, you know this is awesome :) I've never used a dog walking service for overnights like this, and Lali/Furry Babies far exceeded any expectations. She's clearly a dog person, but more importantly is the type of person you want to be in charge of your animals and any emergency situations that should arise while you're gone. A few days before our wedding I realized I was in a jam - our pups were going to be in our ceremony but we had no way of getting them from our boarding place in Irvine, up to Costa Mesa for our ceremony and then safely back to Irvine. Although my request was last minute she was able to move a few things around to accommodate us. Both Lali and Lauren (who actually did the run on the day) were wonderful.
