When we started our business many many years ago our accountant was a friend who was fine until our…read morebusiness grew and our investments also grew. Unfortunately there came a point where he was in over his head and made some costly errors. So we went on a hunt for a new accounting firm. Some came across as arrogant and acted like we should be begging for their service. Well we found Robert and Craig, ie: Eierman and Schulken. They came to our office, answered all of our questions, and the rest is history. They have now been our accountants for nearly 15 years. These fellows know how we operate and treat our books accordingly, never a question. They come to our office once a year for our company taxes and both men work through the day preparing our yearly taxes. Most years we end up paying, but we know everything is legit. Our policy is if we made money, then give Uncle Sam his share and move on. This past year was challenging for most businesses but E & S was always there. They held Zoom meetings for all their clients, and kept us posted on PPP and all the changes that were constantly being made. Half way through the year they take the initiative to check our books and advise on whether or not to up our estimated tax payments. We have been very happy with them and plan to use them as long as we continue in business, hopefully for many more years. Obviously I recommend them and suggest if you find yourself in need of an accounting firm. Don't waste your time searching, just call Eierman & Schulken and I know you'll be just as pleased as we are.

It pains me to have to write this review. Phil was our accountant for almost 8 years, and he always…read moredid a great job. Unfortunately things changed this past year. Phil filed an extension for me in 2018 (as is customary for my family) and promised in writing that he would complete the taxes as soon as he could. I sent him everything, fully expecting that he would file with the IRS and bill me after as usual. I became a little concerned when he never responded to my multiple e-mails at the time, but figured he had everything he needed. Not once did it ever occur to me that he hadn't filed the taxes. Fast-forward to six months later, when the Covid scare began. I never received a government relief check and didn't understand why. After doing some extensive digging, I realized the government did not have a copy of my 2018 taxes. I thought there must have been some mistake. So I called and e-mailed Phil, but never received a response even after saying I was very concerned and needed to know if the taxes had been filed. They hadn't. I also wanted to be sure he had been paid for his work and that the forms hadn't gone to an old address by mistake. Sadly I had to hire a new accountant and am now fighting the IRS over $2,500 in late penalty fees. Had Phil called to say there had been some mistake and that he was sorry, I would have possibly understood. But to never receive any response after 8 years of working together is extremely unprofessional and disturbing.
