The pacing of the tour was perfect, not too slow, not too strenuous. It is obvious that JF is deeply knowledgable about urbanism, bicycle culture, and the way our built environment impacts our experiences of life. The details he pointed out and the places he brought us are easily overlooked, but super interesting. It is rare to find someone who takes so little for granted in their home environment. This tour was not just a lesson about history and some neighborhoods of Montréal, but about how to observe the world around us. I would give six stars if possible. It did not hurt that the weather was perfect. If it had rained, probably only five stars. It was a fantastic three hours and a highlight of our visit to MTL.

He always invites questions and made us laugh a lot. Ask him how poutine got its name. He created a perfect blend of peddling and savoring He spaced out our rest stops in such a way that we were never bored with resting and nor fatigued with pedaling.

Our ride was a 5 mile loop. We got to spend time with the pups before and after petting them and learning about them and the sled. At the end they got their soup and we got to give them some treats :) The dogs are so so sweet and hardworking. Women's Skills Mountain Bike Clinic: My friend and I both…read moreparticipated in the beginner women's clinic this weekend and loved it. She was a very beginner with no experience on a mountain bike, and I already two seasons of riding in out West. We both equally benefited from the course; she was able to develop a solid foundation of skills, and I was able to correct some of the bad habits I developed being self-taught. Nobody should be intimidated by the course, as the first half of the class was off the trail going over the very basics. The second half of the class was the group ride through some of the "green and blue" single track trails at Trapps all together with a leader and a sweeper. In just four hours I felt so much more comfortable with my riding and gained a better trust in what my bike is capable of. To top it off, we had an amazing group of women in our class. Our Instructors Shelly and Shannon were amazing and made everyone feel comfortable and they made sure we all had fun.
