This is a recently added branch store of the original "All Saints" located at 3506 Calhoun St…read more This one is located near the corner of Coldwater Road and Wallen Road, in the same strip mall as "Lunch Box Cafe", adjacent to the Lassus Gas Station. They have an excellent selection of Catholic Christian gifts and goods. Their book selection is ok and is expanding monthly. Their selection of religious DVD's is very good. There is also a room that has a good selection of church goods: candles, pixes, priest's vestments & shirts, etc. One whole wall is covered with various Crucifixes. They also have a good selection of printed Religious Icons mounted on wood, as well as small 2"x3" refrigerator magnets. They do carry First Communion and Baptismal outfits for children. Also, they have a very good selection of religiously oriented greeting cards. (Baptism, Confirmation, Wedding, Funeral, Ordination, Anniversary, Birthday + others) I even saw a soft, stuffed practice "Mass" kit for those boys who would like to play at being a priest!

One of the books was specifically about National Parks and during our trip in June we plan to go to at least 3 National Parks. The store was very well organized and (despite probably being smaller) felt bigger than the Mishawaka location. Everything was easy to find and displayed nicely. Lots of books were even discounted, which was also nice. Employees were nice and made checkout easy. I do tend to prefer small/locally owned stores, but as far as Barnes & Noble go, this location is pretty cool.

It is so beautifully laid out I could have spent an hour just being dazzled by the displays. Alas, the thing I wanted to take home the most was part of a display I'm not for sale. You'd be surprised at how often that happens to me. If there's a gemstone lover on your shopping list, make a beeline for this beaut of a boutique. They've got everything from uper affordable small polished gemstones for under $10 on up to gigantic gemstones spheres for $500 or more. There's also a great selection of sage and other smudging implements as well as Is a wide array of incense. The owner was super friendly. Parking can be a pickle in this strip mall since there's so many popular spots here (Chocolatea, Pantry on Tap, Jac's and more), which could cause accessibility issues for folks with limited mobility.

I was in the Park Hills neighborhood dog sitting this week and almost missed Kazoo Books. I took a sharp turn in because I had to check it out. The staff is engaging and pleasant and they have load and loads of books, practically everything you would find in B&N for same value or less (they have preowned books too). I will always prefer to shop small business and now I have a perfect excuse to become a regular customer of Kazoo Books and you should too :)
