Made an appointment for myself and a friend to get mani-pedi service. Arrived and they took us back quickly. But that's where the good service ended. I was taken care of immediately, my friend was not. She had to wait until the second technician was done with another client. In order to get us out together, her pedicure was rushed. Both of our manicures were minimal service that we could have done on our own. They didn't even let us wash our hands! Soaking was in room temperature water. My polish has lasted 2 weeks, but my friend's was so rushed that it smudged before we left. Instead of starting it again, the man just smooshed it with his finger and added another coat. Her pedicure was ruined when we were rushed out and had to put on shoes. Definitely skip this place! read more

There is a language barrier here and it seems nobody speaks enough English to understand the basics. I said my color twice and pointed to it and the tech still gave me the wrong color. When I questioned it she smiled. Then I asked for a snow flake which was a mistake. She didnt use the color I requested for the snowflake and honestly its something my 10 year old niece could have done. Don't go here! I went in for a manicure and it was not a good experience. A cold bowl of water with fish pebbles in it. They lady was pulling my hands and she filed my nails down so short, that I've been naturally growing and taking care of for a long time. I also asked her to make my nails round twice, which she didn't do. They're square. Lastly, it took her 1 minute to do all ten fingers of my French tips so you can imagine how they looked. read more

I went back to get the French removed and just polish. AMAZING! I called about an hour before I went in and from start to finish everything was amazing. Kimmy greeted me with a smile and I showed her my inspo picture and she said she could do something "like" it after about a 5 second glance. While she was finishing up with another customer a man (I wish I caught his name!) removed my old dip manicure and did the basic white dip. When Kimmy finished up she did the design.... STUNNING. I have had manicures and pedicures by many of the techs at Lan and I've always been pleased. The salon is clean and the prices are reasonable. I've been to many nail salons over the years in this area, and this one is by far my favorite. Hand massages and hot towels are provided after every manicure. They also have the best pedicures. The building was recently redone and is both clean and stylish. The workers are all also very kind and welcoming. I have zero complaints and will continue to come here for a long time. read more

I was really skeptical going to a new nail salon and the reviews weren't great. I chose this place simply because it was close by. I've gone twice and have been very pleased both times!! The shape of the nail is exactly what I wanted, very smooth not lumpy at all. The nail art was also so pretty. I was able to go 3 weeks between appointments without losing any. So disappointed the new owners are nothing like the old ones. The place is not very clean and during my pedicure the nail technician used the clippers for 2 customers without cleaning them. Staff is tense and constantly looking at the owner for approval. They do not do a good job. Will be looking for another place. read more

I went in for a pedicure and the technician I had was horrible. It was the worst pedicure I've ever received. She cut my nails way too short, barely filed them or used the cuticle cutter. After painting my toenails there was red nail polish all over my toes/edges and when I asked her to remove it, she still wasn't able to get it off. Absolutely amazing experience. Kimmy did such a beautiful job on my girlfriend's French tips. We have tried multiple other nail places in the area and they all have done such a terrible job, uneven and disgusting. But this place is wonderful. They are a small team and get very busy but if you are patient they will give you fabulous service. We were a walk in and only waited about 30 minutes. I also overheard a woman in the back getting a pedicure and she was saying how relaxing it was after a long day. We will be happily returning and might try more next time! read more

This was a very friendly nail salon. I enjoyed the employees and had a wonderful time while I was in there. It was such a good environment. The only reason I took away two starts is because the nail polish was spotty and the bottom looks a little mediocre. The shape and size was paid attention to in great detail, but not so much the polish. This was my first time here and I would probably come again, just a few minor details I'd change about the place. The nail tech spent about 10 mins on my pedicure, excluding polish application. the hot stone massage lasted about 15 seconds each leg. I shouldn't have tipped at all. I normally don't write reviews, but I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. I scheduled an appointment and was not sat until over an hour after my scheduled time. In addition to that they were all very rude to me and many of the other customers. My nails were not being done well and since I was paying for the service, I wanted it to be done correctly. When I very nicely pointed out the things I was unhappy with I was told that I was wrong and he wasn't fixing it. In the pictures you can clearly see that my nails are uneven lengths, and inconsistent shapes, but the person doing my nails to ignored my concerns, would not listen to me, and was very rude. This review is on eye brown waxing. The lady Hong her name, took me to a nice clean room for eye brown wax. It was quick and easy, not painful. She make my covid eyebrown look awesome again. However, be mindful the price for eyebrows wax was $8, now its $12. read more

This place is in the strip mall next to Five Guys Burgers at the end of Hummelstown. It's rather large. There are about 10 massage chairs for pedicures in the back, and for $28 they did a really good job. I had a nice selection of nail polishes, both regular and gel. My only small issue was that they didn't use a nail clipper to cut my nails. They used the cuticle trimmer, which isn't the best angle for precision for a good curve that follows the toe shape. I'll definitely come back when i'm in town. read more

I've never written a review, but this place is not it. Disappointed as they've recently had some good reviews. Had an appointment for a regular manicure / pedicure. In the first 5 minutes of me sitting down I was asked 6 times if I wanted gel instead, and that gel would last longer, regular polish isn't good, etc. I don't understand why it's so hard to get what I asked for. After I politely but firmly said no, the man who did my mani and pedi absolutely wrecked my nails. He filed them WAY to low and gave me cuts from cutting too much of my cuticles. He did such a sloppy job on the polish, seemed like he wanted to prove a point the "regular" polish isn't good. The total was ridiculous, so extremely overpriced for a normal mani pedi. I wish I could rate 0 stars... This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon, and I just want those considering it to know why/what to expect. During my gel manicure (by appointment), the technician (possibly owner) stopped what she was doing (buffing/filing) to attend to a walk-in client who wanted her eyebrows done, and I sat in the chair doing nothing for 10 minutes while she waxed someone else's eyebrows.... My nails were cut and filed within an inch of their lives (without first asking whether I wanted them cut or what shape) and are now nubby and round. (I have been doing "gel-rehab" and growing my nails/caring for them longer between appointments and they grow slowly/are quite short, and I always file them square) BOTH my mother-in-law and myself had our cuticles cut so aggressively/painfully, and hers were bleeding! She had to take the polish off that night because they were getting reddened/starting to look infected (despite obviously sterile equipment) I dont want to post this to be malicious, just informative. But this was hands down the WORST manicure I have ever received in my life-- please spend your money elsewhere read more

If I could give no stars I would because I had to sit and wait 55 minutes even though we called and made an appointment 2 days before. Many of the employees acted like my friend and I did not exist and when we were able to sit down we managed to sit for 25 minutes before being acknowledged and helped. I went to Lan nails to get SNS Dip with the owner (Mr.) at 10:30am - mind you they open at 10am. I was asked to come back at 1:30pm appointment made, no problem and I returned. Upon return turn I choose my color and was asked to sit in the chair of the Mr. He then took a break While I waited at his station retuned and sat another customer and began doing a full set on her!!!! Confused I inquired and was told the customer was also asked to return?? Before holding up folks whole day to get a couple dollars be honest and integral. Respect your clients more.. The last time I was there he charged me $65 for an embre'' set of SNS. I thought we had an established relationship so I returned after gaining an understanding for the charge?? Oh no, I won't pay to be disrespected. BUYER BE WARE!! There are plenty of good places in the Hershey area that will treat you right. If you want good service and good work go elsewhere!! read more

I was so disappointed this evening at the behavior of the salon staff as I brought 10 middle school girls in from MHS school to get pampered before they go home for the summer. When a staff members miss placed their purse and immediately started blaming the girls for stealing it. There was yelling in Vietnamese and throwing things, very unprofessional making my girls feel very uncomfortable . Another staff member found the purse in said persons workers drawer, never said I'm sorry just stormed out of the salon. I have gone to Lan's for over two years and that will be my last time. We gave them two months heads up that we were coming and gave them a hefty tip. I just wanted the girls to have a calm relaxing evening and instead they got screaming at each other, fighting and yelling at each other ... These are adults! I guess this can be a teaching moment for my kids that are middle schoolers and how not to act when they're adults. read more
