They say 40%-60% of addicts relapse after treatment, but based on my experience as a client there, it must be a way higher success rate! I did 30 days at Lift off recovery, and am leaving with more tools to keep myself from relapsing and staying in recovery, than I learned during my previous 1 year stint in recovery. The staff are hyper focused on your recovery, they keep it very clean, and cook for us! The location is in a very quiet and nice neighborhood near parks, trails, and In-n-out :). We also get to go to their personally owned gym, take boxing classes, and request activities to do that aren't on the schedule. I also found GOD and a higher power while here, benefited greatly from their personal therapist and counselors they have assigned to each of us, and know I can always count on them to help in the future.

You have the right to refuse treatment, medication, and can end treatment at anytime without punishment.  If you feel your rights were violated than please report them to patients rights advocacy group, their management and take legal action if abuse continues.  They try to entrap you by forcing an appointment on you at the end of the visit, just tell them to shove it and leave and never come back.   If I could do it all over again, than I would've never contacted this place and/or leave shortly after and they cannot do anything about it because I have patients rights.  These same psychiatrist won't take the same crap they prescribe to their patients, so shouldn't you.  One social worker, told me he took the meds once, passed out at work and almost got fired. He never took them again but yet he preaches others to take it, hypocrite.   Bottom line:  Never coming back here again and should've never went in the first place or any other place like this.   Stand up for yourself, it's your life.

Provided very neutral feedback utilizing faith based lessons. You're going to both go in hurt and feeling lost. He doesn't take sides like a lot of less experienced therapists do but he is honest and gentle in his feedback. If you really want to learn proper conflict resolution or about tools that will help you steer conflict to a more amicable place, I highly recommend Dr. Robbins. Life is not perfect and neither are any of us. Learning to love each other with faith based teachings has provided my wife and I with a tremendous path forward. In fact, it was 3 years of therapy that, looking back, really on helped me in the first month to deal with the initial reason for seeking help. I which I would have known about Self Help back then and probably would've saved years of therapy that was going no where. From my very first session with Nancy, I felt there was real progress. I got insight to my learned behavior from past experiences and how that affected my reaction/connection to the world around me. Both my internal and external reactions continued to shape the present experiences that caused continued fear and guilt that was paralyzing. I wasn't myself. But with Nancy's guidance, I learned more about my internal processes and that understanding empowered me. Through each session and "homework assignments" I gained new confidence and regained control to bring about a positive behavior change that allows me to enjoy myself again. I also brought my adult son and my husband to these sessions and it has helped them as well. Also, although these sessions were not covered by my PPO insurance I was able to get reimbursed through my Healthcare spending account which is a huge plus. They are very punctual, professional, and responsive. Though sometimes they don't answer the phone right away, they usually respond within the hour when I leave a message. They are very clear about their no show policy at the first visit. They are respectful of your time and they expect respect for theirs as well. I've been to over a dozen sessions and never waited more than 5minutes for my appt. I've had to reschedule twice and never got charged a no show fee because I notified them at least 24hrs in advance. It is a professional practice for excellent self help therapy.
