What a scam. I scheduled an appointment for them to fix few things that I was told were under…read morewarranty, one of which was a loud buzzing noise from my Hayward C200S filter housing. Tech said this is a super common issue and just overall bad design as the rubber end cap eventually forms holes/cracks so it no longer seals properly. This filter was just over a hear old, but he replaced the filter element and it fixed the issue. Then to my surprise I get a random invoice for almost $260 for the filter and install labor, when there was zero conversation or consent given for this non warrantied service. I spoke with Kevin the store manager from the Lakewood Ranch store who told me that according to his tech he did discuss with me, which is totally false. His solution was to just apologize and come get their now used filter and give me back mine, that basically they did nothing wrong. Then on top of it they were supposed to fix one remaining issue they missed on their original appointment and the tech said he was told to just install my old filter and leave. Again very poor communication as Kevin said nothing about cancelling this follow up call. I merely told him that in the future I wouldn't be a customer do theirs and he assumed this name to just cancel anything pending, instead of asking.

The couch was a floor model so it adds on another $50. One of the back corners had the back loose for the about 10 inches towards the top. The salesperson said he would have someone there staple it back. When we received the couch, the upper portion of the back had indeed been restapled. However, the rest of that corner below that was flopping open. Someone who said she was in charge of the repair dept. at corporate called and said that they would do nothing to correct it. She said that it was a floor model, therefore we had implicitly accepted any and all damage. That seems like a pretty nasty response. Doubly so since it was NOT damaged like that when we bought it.

The salesman, David Moffatt, said not to worry; we can hold the items and deliver them for free when you are ready to receive them. The delivery was white glove, and the men were wonderful. I later had some trouble with the bar stools, so I spoke to Mr Moffatt, who talked with Bob in the warehouse about going to my home to fix the stools, which Bob did. It was an easy fix with me as a happy customer. I can't say enough about this wonderful store that gives great personal customer service. There is only one reason I won't give these guys 4 stars. Let me tell you about my experience here…read more We walked in needing to buy TWO bed sets- one queen, one king. A young gentleman approached us and started showing us beds based off what we told him we were looking for. These are not cheap beds and they are good brands, and when the young gentleman found out we were looking to buy two sets he hurried off to get his manager to assist us instead, which is fine but he was doing great on his own. When the manager had reached us I already knew what I wanted and we browsed a little longer before making our way to write up the order. Delivery could have been same day if we wanted it but I needed time to clear one of the rooms out. My two bed sets ended up being about $1600.00 (from knowing what normal sales looks like at a mattress store, this was a very good sale.) I am very happy with the beds and purchased the mattress covers/protectors as warranty for 10 years against stains. I am getting to my issue now though. Bear with me. When the beds arrived the guys brought everything inside and helped us get rid of my old mattress, I gave them a tip and they left. It was after then when I went to set up my beds, I noticed they didn't give me the mattress protectors for either bed. So I called and was informed by the store associate that because the mattress covers were complimentary (they were not- I know for a fact I paid for them,) I would have to come back at a later date because they were out of stock on the queen size (but not the king size so why didn't they send that one along?) I don't live next door to the storefront so it did cause me an inconvenience to come back for the two covers. They also told me itd be two weeks til they got the queen size in stock but it was magically there when i went to pick up the king size. Some people would say this in its entirety is a minor issue and some would be a pain about it. I just want to put an honest review up of American freight- very happy with my beds and warranties but you definitely get what you pay for- these weren't cheap. Just wish everyone was on the same page there, (if the protectors were complimentary they owe me some money LOL) and that I didn't have to make a second trip out there for something someone else forgot or had on order. Short version: Do some research on beds before you buy at any store but all in all we love the beds and even our guests agree. Just a little concerned about the confusion regarding product knowledge or pricing, and make sure you have gas in your tank.

I was a first time buyer and ordered a brand new side-by-side refrigerator from the Clearwater…read morelocation #4185 at the beginning of January 2023 and after a two month wait it was ready for delivery. They didn't call me so I called them and it had arrived. They must only deal with dented and damaged appliances, but I thought I was waiting 2 months and getting a new undamaged item. I pre-paid the full amount for the merchandise when I ordered but the delivery charge is a separate transaction as they use a third-party trucking company which wasn't a problem as they called ahead and arrived on time. I met the delivery driver curbside as they unboxed the item to find significant damage beyond repair. I've posted the photos of the damage so you could have a good laugh! I refused shipment and immediately as the damage was catastrophic. The salesman agreed to refund both the purchase price and shipping charge and send me an email receipt but that never happened......too busy with customers. You're only as good as their next sale! After looking closely at the photos of the damage I concluded that the refrigerator was damaged before it was packed for shipping as the packing material wasn't damaged on the outside...in other words they knowingly shipped me a damaged refrigerator after waiting 2 months. It looks like it was poked by a forklift and dropped to a concrete floor. Unless you're feelin' lucky, avoid this company like the plague!
