Ultimately, upon my move out scheduled for July 22, 2026, I placed a "cancel service request" on both, the Duke app and website, prior to July 22 to ensure I would not be charged after I was no longer living in the apartment. After first placing the request on the app, I received a prompt stating a request had already been placed for 2022- knowing I had not yet placed the request, and the current year was 2026, I recognized this as an error and attempted to place the request on Duke's website as well (in addition to the app). I received the same prompt stating a request had already been placed, and so next called Duke's customer service, where I was kept on hold for over ten minutes and the robot ultimately referred me back to Duke's website. Assuming the stop service request had been placed since I placed it numerous times through Duke's website and application, and received a response stating a stop service request was received, I assumed I had stopped my service. However, come August, I've been charged through August 2. While the cost is minor, it's the principle of the issue that has been troubling - after two hours on the phone with Duke support, the answer I was given was that, because their system did not receive my stop service requests (despite that their platforms are the party that malfunctioned), I simply owe the money. Long story short, make sure you reach a human from Duke when you want to stop service, especially if their platforms are "malfunctioning." Their predatory tactics and poor technology are not on your side as a tenant, so cover all your bases to protect your finances!

We used the route services of this company and never experienced any kind of problem. Our regular delivery driver was helpful and informative. This satellite station contains two giant sized propane tanks for the route drivers to fill their trucks with and located behind those are probably close to a hundred residential gas tanks. This is a dependable and respected company and I certainly recommend them based on my previous experience.

The portion of the bill that Atlanta Gas Light charges is a NON-NEGOTIABLE fee that is charged by every company that uses AGL lines. Also, in regards to the variable fee. ALL gas companies will place you on a variable rate after your term is over if you do not renew. I shared my rate of $.36 with my friend who was with another gas company and she was paying $2.09 per therm. I had two other one paid $1.79 and the other $1.99. It is our job to make sure we are not overpaying. I would also recommend to everyone that you place a reminder on your calendar to remind you to renew your plan before your contract is done. I have saved $100s of dollars and it took me making sure I do my part to make it happen.

They charged us a $20 late fee plus $10 to write a late-fee letter even though we had elected to receive all communications electronically. Obviously, I can't complain about the late fee (we were late) but $10 to write a letter? Stay away from Xoom!
