It's not a safe place to be hanging out waiting for two hours or more between trains. There's no place to go either. The station closes in the evening, and bus schedule goes to about an hour between buses. You don't want to be there! Stick to peak hours for your safety. Avoid the AVTA buses when you can. You will miss the train as they are slow. God bless your efforts to get to the city. Not easy from here.

I was outside, waiting, for 45 minutes before the taxi arrived. His call To let me know he would be late, at least, was courteous. Then, the driver started taking me to the wrong hotel, in the complete opposite direction as mine. When I got in the car, I had told him the hotel name and the street it was on. I figured that would have been enough information. I gently corrected him and he reset the meter. He was relying in his personal smart phone for directions. Even though he reset the meter, the total fare was $3 more than the fare I paid from the hotel to the restaurant earlier that evening. These folks better hope Lyft or Uber do not take hold in this area, or they will certainly be out of business.

We all looked at each other and said we must go down the hill! So we got there we saw a bunch of cops and we all freaked out because we had been drinking, but we remained calm and parked as quickly as possible. They had a whole celebration, lights music and characters all over the place. I guess it's an annual thing they have. They had a really good live bad, like you know the high school bands, it was good. They had a play on the train. Every holiday character was there example: Frosty, rudolph, they even had Elvis! (i know he is not a holiday character) The Train was exploding with lights and decor. really if you are in the area worth going with your family check with the city when they have it. I'm going back next year with my entire family. If you live in the area you know very well there is not much to do and this my friends is a little distraction in your town. Merry Xmas!

i used to ride the metrolink from palmdale/lancaster to sun valley & back in august of 08 i was…read moreheaded home but i was late so i couldn't pay for my ticket. i was going to pay for it but it was hard for me to do i had a 1 year old a 2 year old and i was 6 months pregnant so i had my purse a diaper bag and a stroller. i ended up getting a citation i explained the situation to the officer explaining that i felt i didn't have a choice since it was the last train till the next day but that i had the money (which i showed him) he didn't care and made me get off at this exit in acton. as i was getting my stuff off i was also carrying my 1 year old daughter and my 2 year old son was walking behind me as i set my daughter and stuff down i went to pick up my son but when he was halfway out the doors closed on his waist so he was stuck in the train from his waist down the train started leaving and as i panicked i struggled to pull him out... a woman came out of nowhere and pushed him out of the train while also trying to pry the doors open... to me this woman was an angel because i knew that if i couldn't get my son out in time i would of lost him forever. this happened on august 24th of 2008 around 6:30 in the evening.
