I stay here all the time for work, and I will say, the people really make this place. Shawn, at the front desk, never fails to put a smile on my face. She provides the best service and is always at the ready to help me with any requests that I have. Ashley, the sole server/bartender when I stay, does a fantastic job serving everyone at the restaurant, even when the place is packed; and she always has a great attitude! The chefs at the restaurant always make quality food too! Roy at security is another who brings great energy any time you see him; always upbeat and smiling. Mitchell and Tatiana at breakfast are very professional and always looking to accommodate your meal.

My bestie and I like to get away from responsibility once a month and have enjoyed going here for our stay cations for a long time. Sadly the last 2 months we were let down by the hot tub/jacuzzi. The maintenance man tried both times, it just didn't get better. As a reputable hotel, you should be able to fix your non working things.

Good location and reasonable rates. Also nice they are pet friendly However recent renovation while nice definitely seems low-end. And low rates bring in sketchy folks. Stepped on a syringe getting out of the car in the parking lot. Then another syringe next to it along with a rubber band used to tie around an arm. Told desk who didn't really seem to grasp how no one wants to see that 5 minutes after getting to a $130-$150 hotel room (plus $75 pet fee.). Hard to see past that. Room itself was ok. Housekeeping had left a bottle of cleaner inside but that wasn't a big deal as room was clearly cleaned well. AC was on full blast and struggling with 85 degree day - imagine summers would be tough. Carpet was torn in spots and cable tv went in and out during stay. They have a typical restaurant and an overpriced gift shop for sundries. I would actually suggest spending a few extra bucks and stay at their sister property Staybridge Suites next door. That is fairly new and feels a couple notches nicer. Both hotels seem to share security so that at least made me feel better that the sketchiness was mostly outside.

I stayed here 12/11/24 - 12/13/2024. I was in the area for work, and since I was only traveling a few hours away I took my dog with me. He is an emotional support animal with a letter from a doctor. I called around Lancaster and Palmdale a week prior to my travel to ask places about their ESA policy. The Holiday inn in Lancaster said there was a pet fee even with an ESA letter. That's fine, ESAs aren't covered by the ADA, and some hotels don't waive the fee for them. I called this Holiday Inn in Palmdale (12/06/2024). The automated voice asked me what my reason for calling was. I said "emotional support animal" and was connected to a lady. She said that, as long as my dog had his ESA letter, there wouldn't be a pet fee. Fast forward a week and I arrive at the hotel. I'm told by the front desk staff that there would be a nightly extra charge for my pet. I told them I had called ahead and was told there wouldn't be since he is an ESA and I had a letter from my doctor for him. They spoke to a manager on the phone and the manager, through the front desk staff, told me "just because you call this location for a reservation doesn't mean the system connects you to someone actually at this hotel. The person you spoke to gave you incorrect information, and we don't have to honor it." Just to test this, when I got to my room I called the same number as before, I said the same thing to the automated system. I was connected directly to the front desk staff I had just spoken to when checking in. So I'm confused as to how I had been connected to someone off-site, and given incorrect information, when I called the week before. 12/12 @2:30pm, spoke to manager Rory Casalla and was told I could not have a refund of the pet fee. She said "are you staying here with a pet? Then you're paying the pet fee." Her disrespectful attitude, her lack of any kind of apology, and her complete refusal to honor what I had been told about the ESA policy over the phone was unacceptable. There was part of a banana peel in the floor outside the elevators. As for the room, there were stains on the carpet. There was a stain on the chair. The toilet had residue left over from the last person who used it, making me wonder if it had been cleaned at all. There was goop of some kind on the wall hanging above the bed. I posted pictures of all of this on my Google review. Additionally, only some of the channels were coming through on the TV, even trying to get to them from the TV guide directly. A lot of them just said they had no signal. I called the front desk about it and they said they would send someone to look into it. The front desk called back a few minutes later and said maintenance said the signal issue was across the whole hotel and that they were working on it. So the staff at the front desk didn't even know there was a hotel wide issue apparently. There also wasn't any way to log in to any kind of streaming.

Great hospitality Madalyn was cool and good personality. I got the AAA discount. So I got a room with the balcony very nice on the 2nd floor with 1 chair and table. The cashier was great . I could have paid for breakfast $10 the day I checked in but I waited and the next morning it's $16. But it's all you can eat. And there's no smoking here. But hey I don't smoke I'm an Essential Business Operator for Metro.

Returning to this hotel was not like the first time. We tried checking in 30 minutes early only to be told that housekeeping had just got out of a meeting and I room was not ready yet. Why in the world would you schedule a meeting on a Friday and why 30 minutes when people will be cvhecking in would you not have a room ready. We finally got in about half hour instead of an hour. Later in the evening we returned and the room was musty smelling. The windows were all wet and the carpet was wet. When I took a shower the next morning the shower curtain was absolutely unacceptable! Almost every single rod opening and n the curtain was torn and had huge holes. And very few towels provided and encouraged to use more than one day. It's so sad cause our first visit was so nice but time will be our last.

I stayed here b/c of a business trip.... Never again!! Upon my arrival the front desk staff was behind the wall in the office. I waited about 5-7 minutes when the bartender noticed I had not been helped.... The room carpet was disgustingly filthy. The upholstered chair was beyond filthy.... There was hair in the bathtub.... There were no face cloths.... No laundry bags.... The door peephole did not have a cover; did not appear it was one way, so I shoved wet toilet paper in the opening. The AC consistently screeched (scraping metal) all the time. Never once did I hear a vacuum either cleaning the floors in a room, or the common hallway...? I never saw a vacuum on or near the room service carts...? Breakfast was good; however, on the second day, the waitress was pleasant and professional, but her long hair was touching the food counter tops and other food related items. I thought individuals that handle food have their hair put up...? The hanger broke, and I put it back together. The last night I was there, I had dinner at the bar.... Amy made it very pleasant. Dinner was good. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience at this Holiday Inn was miserable. The filth added stress to my stay. I do not recommend this Holiday Inn.

Arrived at 1:50pm , check in is at 3:00pm, it's 5/14/23 and currently 88 degrees at this time. Margaret said the house keeping crew is on lunch, and they would get the room ready as soon as they came back. I asked how long she said give them at least 30 minutes, corporation's like this should be trained to deal with situations like this, not expect guests to arrive an hour after their "check in " time, but to better expect guests to arrive an hour earlier, nice hotel but thats definitely a last for me, 0 stars . Shawna, was literally disgusting, nasty attitude, horrible service, I canceled my reservation at 4:20pm because the room was not ready... I went across the street the double tree Hilton and got an amazing room with amazing staff and hot big cookies at check in..... talk about a bad experience. I posted my follow up email from double tree regarding my stay.

The people here make this place a pleasure. We have had some family issues that have brought me and 2 other siblings down to this area several times over the last year and we have stayed here each time. The staff at the front desk are top notch! Kind, thoughtful, friendly with a good memory for faces and stories, it help us feel heard, seen and valued. Thank you so much! See you again in a few months!

Never thought I'd be so glad to go to bed early!

    See all

The rooms are good, but a bit dated, they could use some new carpet and furnishings. They did put in larger TVs, which is nice. I have been unlucky with poor shower water pressure on the last few visits. The elevators are very slow. The highlight is the free, made to order breakfast. Omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, waffles...etc. It can't be beat. Second highlight is the bar. The bartenders, especially Brie, are great. You get a couple free drinks each night plus snacks. The snacks have gone downhill in the last few years. Food at the bar is excellent, especially the steaks. The housekeeping is excellent, as are the front desk and kitchen staff. Still my go to hotel in Palmdale.

The second stay we didn't have that particular problem, but their system was running noticeably slow and it crashed while swiping my card. The entry/lobby really does not match the typical Embassy Suites - it's clearly intended to feel much more upscale. It's a very open concept space that leads over to the bar/breakfast area. There's lots of tables and room to socialize or work (which we saw many people doing). There is a happy hour every day with some complimentary snacks and drinks. Nothing crazy but it stands out to me. Many hotels brands/chains are cutting perks and amenities like these, so it was nice to see a hotel at least trying to earn some loyalty. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a well equipped and functional bathroom. The elevators were oddly slow and the wifi was not the best. Hilton is not my preferred hotel chain, but I would stay here again for sure.
