    Prescription bottle

We were referred to Lance by our Dachshund rescue group in 2016. First few years went well--doctors took time for questions during visits, most of the front desk generally pleasant, techs were always polite and good with our dogs, and a good experience when we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our furry family member. As the years went on, visits became more rushed, couldn't get in to see the doctor we started with, one particular front desk worker was incredibly short and condescending regularly (not just a bad day), and even after most vets returned to pre-Covid practices, allowing you to come in with your animal for their visit, they are still doing only curbside as of 4/2022. The two final straws that resulted in us leaving the practice involved the practice being so rigid and not considering the patient's health first. Both involved medicine refills--one compounded eye drops required for our Boston Terrier whose had two major/expensive eye surgeries and the other Proin for that same rescue dog's incontinence. In both cases we were almost out and didn't realize refills required a follow-up visit and bloodwork, respectively. They did call in one refill for critical eye drops, but even after sending them all requested ophthalmology surgery records from vet school hospital that performed surgeries, we are still waiting on the full annual refill approval since 1/22/2022. And the final straw was their refusal to give the Boston 7-days of Proin to get her through our spring break vacation out of the country. She was due bloodwork that we didn't know about until we went to pick up her meds ~2 days before leaving. The bottle showed no remaining refill info. We shared our predicament with our son's senior cruise and our own challenges with making an appointment due to mandatory Covid testing windows, work challenges, and driving time to port. They refused my husband. I called and asked them again. They still refused, siting FDA requirements. As a human, we've had more supportive healthcare providers for refills of maintenance meds and schedule 2 drugs with challenging and unique circumstances. This meant our Boston had no meds and went a full week without, coming home to our Boston who had overnight wet crate beds daily and our pet sitter who had many floor cleanups. All of which weren't necessary. We pleaded for only 7-days, not a full bottle, offering to go ahead and schedule an appointment for our first day back--still they said no. That was the final straw, along with the continued negative attitude of one particular front desk worker who has no concept of customer service and acts as if the practice is doing you a favor by existing.

    - I will start by saying with my first visit last week Mrs. Weaver ( hope I'm spelling correctly )…read moreis an amazing vet. We brought 1 of my 3 fur babies in last wk & informed her that all of them are experiencing extreme itching, patches, & dry scaly spots. She tested for flea ticks & mites, came back clear & she also performed a skin scrap. Prescribed her steroids & something for the infected skin. Amazing lady. I called the following wk to bring my other fur baby & called prior to my visit & asked to have the same vet we just had ( Mrs. Weaver ) I'm big on 1st faces & comfort. I was told that it will be her again. Get there & it's 2 completely different vets, NOT Mrs. Weaver at all. This specific vet ( Dr. Nunnally ) damn near seemed scared to come towards Gelato. Stood by the door until I distracted him with treats. Basically, came in asked what day did we come in with other dog, said she was going to check the paperwork & came back with medication that was given to my other dog. Literally in & out. Honestly thinking notes are kept & communication is tight, didn't think anything of it ( my babies do have allergies ) until I got home to give him meds & notice he only had steroid NOT the medication for infected skin. So I called back to ask about it, 24hrs later I'm told the vet ( Dr. Nunnally )didn't see the need to because no skin rash was present ( I'll post picture of his skin irritation that she claim he never had because she was too scared to look ) she clearly missed it because it's been going on with them for 3wks, I even had to send pictures & was told I'd have to pay for another visit when it should have been done RIGHT when we brought him & informed them that day. Hell, even the receptionist tried it saying " no she didn't miss it, in her notes she doesn't have skin irritation" like YOU WEREN'T THERE ! It truly doesn't matter atp what she did note because it was CLEARLY false. Gelato was 100x calmer than Queen was & Mrs. Weaver manage to get it done right. It doesn't matter if the revisit was $200 $50 $10 or $2 it's the fact that it wasn't done when he came in so WHY should we have to pay for her ( Dr. Nunnally ) mistake ? Everyone makes mistakes it okay, it's truly just the principal. Mrs. Weaver, however, is Heaven Sent. She gave this place a star in MY opinion. Establishment is beautiful but I'll definitely pay my money towards a vet that gives af.

Although Tucker had already earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate, he was still quite shy and skittish--traits that aren't ideal for therapy work. When I explained this to Jacob, our trainer, he immediately began working closely with us to address Tucker's challenges. I was so impressed with the progress that I continued enrolling him in additional classes. Thanks to Jacob's patient and dedicated guidance, I'm thrilled to share that Tucker has now earned both his AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGCU) and AKC Community Canine Advanced Good Citizen (CGCA) certifications! Every staff member I encountered at Fido's was kind, professional, and supportive. I highly recommend Fido's World to anyone looking for quality training. In fact, Tucker is now signed up for their Agility class--we're excited to continue the journey! The.

He was not visible in the cameras for the first few days so I'm guessing they forgot to let him out. I've recently heard so many horror stories about this place but this was my first and last terrible experience. It's clear the owners do not care about the dogs or customers, they don't even bother to answer emails about complaints. Update: after sending a complaint via fb, I did finally receive an email back. Although they were sympathetic I will still never board my puppy here again. Since we love the trainer, we will still take our puppy to training with the trainer at Fido's. I wish Gainesville had more options for dog boarding. In the future, we will be driving a ways for an accommodating and caring boarding facility.
