From a Longtime Customer -- Very Disappointed in How This Was Handled…read more We began using Couture Pet Grooming in December 2023 after my mother's elderly Black Labrador mix, Thunder, came to live with us in Southern California. For approximately 30 months, we were very satisfied with the grooming services Thunder received. Until this incident, I would have gladly given Couture five stars and recommended them to others. Unfortunately, our experience involving a future boarding reservation completely changed my opinion. We arranged for Couture to board Thunder for an upcoming family vacation. We were quoted $455 for seven nights plus one day of daycare, with a 50% deposit required to hold the reservation. On June 25, 2026--approximately 120 days before the scheduled boarding--I paid $255 by Zelle, which was actually more than the requested 50% deposit. Tragically, Thunder's health deteriorated significantly. At approximately 15 years old, he could no longer stand or move normally and was experiencing several age-related health problems. After consultation with family and Animal Control, we made the extremely difficult and humane decision to have Thunder put to sleep on August 3, 2026. The following day, approximately 83 days before the scheduled boarding, we notified Couture of Thunder's death, cancelled the reservation, and requested the return of our $255 deposit. We were told: "The deposit is non refundable. We keep deposit to hold dates and it is non refundable." This was extremely disappointing. In the boarding correspondence we received before paying the deposit, we were told that a 50% deposit was required to hold the dates, but we were not told that the deposit was nonrefundable. Had that condition been clearly disclosed to me beforehand, I would not have paid $255 approximately four months in advance. I subsequently requested a receipt and invoice regarding the transaction and was told one would be provided. As of the date of this review, I have not received it. This is especially difficult because we were not cancelling for convenience or because our vacation plans changed. Thunder died. We cancelled approximately 83 days before his scheduled stay. I recognize and appreciate the satisfactory grooming services Couture provided Thunder over the years. Unfortunately, the way this final matter was handled after the death of a longtime customer's pet has overshadowed those positive experiences. Our family lost a beloved companion. Under these circumstances, and based on how our $255 deposit was handled, I can no longer recommend Couture Pet Grooming.

Lucky for us, we booked Iris. Iris is truly is a Super Hero Groomer‼Despite Gracie being the most dirty she's ever gotten, Iris got her back to her glorious pre swamp condition. She was SO CLEAN it seemed like magic, but I KNOW it took a TREMENDOUS amount of hard work and dedication to get Gracie clean, floofy and cuddle ready again. Over time, I've come to believe that true compassion isn't just about extending empathy -- it also means speaking up and holding people accountable when harm is done. So, in light of that, here is my first negative review: We brought our maltipoo, Maximus, to Petsuites in Cumming for daycare since his regular place was closed. When my husband picked him up, he noticed Maximus's ears looked smaller and were wet, so he brushed it off. But once they dried, it was obvious: someone had badly and unevenly cut the hair off both ears. I called Petsuites right away. The managers had already left, but I spoke to two employees -- one of whom had been with Maximus outside -- who claimed that "a piece of matted hair the size of two fingers on his left ear fell off," and insisted "100% no one cut your dog's hair." I explained this didn't make sense (as the before-and-after photos clearly show), but they kept denying it. The next day, the manager, Kayla, called me. She said she reviewed video footage and saw another dog chewing on Maximus's ear, gnawing off some of the hair, supposedly explaining the missing hair. When I asked about the clearly trimmed and uneven appearance on both ears, she offered no explanation but maintained, "I am confident no one cut the hair off his ears." Pet parents deserve transparency. If they had called me from the beginning to report what happened and offered to fix it, that would have shown accountability. But instead, they tried to cover it up with a bad haircut, waited until we discovered the problem, and then denied it. That's extremely concerning. If they can hide something so obvious, it makes me wonder what else might be happening behind closed doors. Prior to posting this, I gave Petsuites Cumming a chance to fully own up to what happened, but that was days ago, and here we are. So, I'm leaving this review to warn others. Pet parents -- unless you want a bad haircut you never asked for (and questionable honesty on top of it), please consider taking your pets elsewhere. Petsuites, Cumming -- do better.

I've been bringing my dogs here for over 2 years. I really liked taking them there even though the price was different every time but when they were done they were put in their own little area with a gate on the front keeping them separate from the big dogs (mine are 14 and 25 lbs). Fast forward a year and they went in for baths only and I picked them up, owner mentions no issues. Get home- go to give my little one belly rubs and he's got cuts and scratches on his belly and I was shocked. I immediately texted Marisol and sent her pictures- the next day she said her bather had jerked when combing him and that's what caused it. Then sent me a pick of the comb used. I have a short hair chihuahua, they used a metal tooth undercoat rake comb. Like you would use on a husky or something. We didn't go back. After some bad experiences at petsmart (not with my dogs but with the groomers that I watched being way to rough with other dogs) my husband said why don't you try bark and paws again? After what happened before surely she will be very careful. So we go back with my dog that was not injured just to test the waters - everything goes ok. Again, the pricing is never the same and I lost my job so I started doing haircuts and bathes at home but still took them there for nails. Everything the other reviews say is true. We went last week- he took them to the back and handed them off to someone- the guy came back with my chihuahua after about 10 min- I went and put him in the car and went back in for my other one. Waited 15 min- watched one dog jump out of gated areas and no one blinked an eye. Then I heard my baby yelping and I thought was that my Morgan? Then she did it again and I hollered out (since there's no one around) if you are having a hard time with her it's ok to stop and bring her to me. No response. Then the guy who seemed to be in charge goes in there and I hear them all having a big discussion in Spanish. I know a little Spanish, enough to understand that the gal cut Morgan into the nail quick several times after that then was trying to get away while she was trying to finish. Well my dog is so laid back - for her to yelp several times and try to get away means you weren't handling her correctly. I guess when we got there and Morgan didn't want to go in and I couldn't even coax my chihuahua out of the car- I had to climb in the back seat and get him from under the seat (which he has never done before) that should have been my hint that it was time to move on. The owner is a very nice lady but she hasn't been there the last 3 times and her employees don't speak English and as far as I can tell aren't trained properly on how to cut nails or what brush to use on a short hair dog. Needless to say- after that visit we will not be going back. What could be a great business has gotten too sloppy since expanding and I hope all of these recent reviews have the owner looking into running her business better.
