The last brewery that we checked out was Land & Sea Brewing Co. It's across the street from Salish Sea Foods. We dropped in on a holiday Monday (around 4:15pm) and it was busy. The inside is modern and spacious with an outdoor area to match. Love the sleek, clean logo and look of their beer cans. Service was friendly and attentive. There were 9 beers on tap along with wine, Salt Spring Island Cider and kombucha. The food menu is small; nibbles/snacks/shares, nachos, salads/bowls/sandwiches and naan wraps. Most tables were ordering nachos (which interestingly is offered as two-third or full order options). To go prices include cans ($4.75 to $5.75), howlers ($8.00 to $9.00) and growlers ($13.00 to $14.00). - Flight ($9.00 for 4) - we went with the glacier cream ale, wildflower farmhouse white, breakfast club coffee lager and Strathcona blackberry fig sour. Our favourite was the kettle sour; jammey and a touch tart. The cream ale was light, easy drinking. The dry-hopped kveik lager had faint tones of citrus and spice. The nordic black lager was decent, similar to a nitro coffee. Lighter than other coffee stouts we've had at other breweries. - Strathcona blackberry fig sour ($5.25) - we bought a can for home. Loved the chill vibes at L&S. Would definitely return and hope they start making more sours.

The only photo we remembered to take because we DEVOURED our delish food and drink so fast!

I got a flight of the glowing embers ale, kelp stout, dark lager, and spruce tree ale. Dark beers are usually my favourite, but my favourite out of this batch might have actually been the glowing embers, which was described as a candied smoked ale. The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. I noticed that the staff was very diligent about clearing tables inside but not so much outside, I saw a table on the patio that had abandoned empty glasses sitting on it when I went out to pick up my food truck order and still there when I left.
