This cake is moist flavourful, the nuts are a great add and the icing isn't too sweet it's simply perfect. We were shocked at how this blew us away. As for the beers my hubby got 2 that he thought were pretty good but I wasn't drinking and ordered their homemade ice tea and omg they did it again, so shockingly good! Just the right amount of citrus and great tea flavour. The over atmosphere inside is just okay but the service is attentive and all in all we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our few items were!

I'm a bit of a creature of habit and I generally go for a dark beer but they've been out of my favourite Nitro for a while but I've found options. The fries are lovely and crispy and always hot. We usually get two tacos to share between three of us - beef brisket and beef barria I think it's called. They are completely different taste profiles and the accompanying sauces are delish. It's basically on an outdoor patio that's been screened in with plastic with lovely space heaters that keep everyone warm. There are a few seats inside as well but I've never been there. The ambiance is lovely - it's always buzzing with people coming and going and it's often a bit of a wait for a seat but once sitting down you aren't disturbed except with the lovely staff delivering food. Every staff person I've encountered has been friendly and while super busy seem to really enjoy being there. Wide variety of people too - people from the ski hill, pre theatre people, after work people. And the best part? Dogs are allowed!!

He started with kit home brew years ago, but really began making awesome beer when he went all-grain. The beers are delicious. The merch is high quality (we bought 2 tshirts, we loved it that much). Make sure they're open before you make the trip. But if you do go, don't let the exterior fool you. Dive into the rabbit hole head first. There's a jovial party inside that you don't want to miss.

Dark beers are usually my favourite, but my favourite out of this batch might have actually been the glowing embers, which was described as a candied smoked ale. The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. I noticed that the staff was very diligent about clearing tables inside but not so much outside, I saw a table on the patio that had abandoned empty glasses sitting on it when I went out to pick up my food truck order and still there when I left.
