I was actually really pleased to see that my son would be exposed to such a diverse group of people so early in life. I've never had trouble communicating about his needs and his pediatrician was blown away by his verbal skills at his last well visit, so I know his language development is just fine. I have zero direct knowledge of the staff pay, so I can't address concerns about staff being underpaid. I certainly hope that isn't the case because they are wonderful.

We always enter from the "access trail" side. It is a smaller parking lot but we like coming in from this side. Depending on what time you get there, you may have a slight wait time to park but it is usually pretty quick and efficient. We usually arrive before 8:30am and have had no problem finding a spot. There are I believe at least 2 handicap spots at this entrance. They also have bathrooms available that are always clean and kept up. At the main entrance, entering from (otter creek). There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. Great place to take kids or any family that is visiting or even a great place to go on a nice solo long walk.

Visited with my husband and 3 kids (ages 4, 3, and 20 months) on a holiday weekend around 9 a.m…read more There are two entrances -- we used the one off Franklin Rd. This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.

Once you get hungry from all that activity, Decibels has good and drinks. There's also a full bar in the adults only area. It was a perfect way to relax and wind down from a very BUSY conference. The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is a 170,000‑acre outdoor park and nature preserve located between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, with Dover, Tennessee serving as its southern gateway. It spans both Kentucky and Tennessee, with about 60,000 acres lying in Stewart County, Tennessee near Dover. The park is a vast peninsula of forest, wetlands, and open land managed by the U.S. Forest Service. It was created when the Tennessee Valley Authority dammed the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers, forming Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. The land between those two reservoirs became a unique natural corridor, hence the name. We arrived late at the South Welcome Station. A nice little parking area with a structure that appeared to have maps and an attendant. There's even a free RV dump site here. What there isn't is any cellular signal and there didn't appear to be any wifi coming from the welcome station. The welcome center has its own small park area with grills and a kids play area. And a dog walk area. For hunting season there's also a deer weigh station. It allows your privately owned vehicle to enter free. There are some fees if you want to go to beach area or enjoy planetarium at the main visitor center. I need to get my fishing license and so does Tony. I want to go back here to swim and picnic this summer once my daughter arrives. There is NO charge..it is all FREE to enjoy!! I'm writing this review based on the Swan Lake Golf Course. This is what came up when searching for…read more"Golf" in clarksville, and the address matched. Anywho, the course is kept up with very nicely. I only played the front nine holes though, so my review is sort of just a "half review". One thing I did not like, was that the first few holes are right next to the road. Rude people driving by like to honk their horn right when you're on the down swing. I'm sure they thought it was funny, but I felt like throwing my club in to their window. The greens are very well kept up with, and also fast. The fairways are nice as well, but the grass is very, um.... "poofy", so It is quite possible to lose your ball on the fairway, if you don't keep your eye on it. It will literally sink in to the grass, never to be seen again, until the lawnmower chops it up. It's kind of frustrating to have play a drop because you can't find your ball on the fairway. Maybe when summer time rolls back around, it will be easier to find your ball since the grass won't be yellow, but green. The carts are gas powered. Came as a surprise to me since I've only used electric ones. This makes them kind of noisy, but you get used to it. All in all, it's a pretty nice course but I will wait to play it again until the summer.
