This park has a playground and a splashpad for kids, a small skateboard/bike area for kids, a dog park pavillions for picnics, restrooms by the play area and dog park and a really nice long walking path around the huge pond. There is also a small stage near the big open field so it would be a good location for concerts. The park is on county land adjacent to a water treatment plant, which supplies the pond with reclaimed water. What a great use of space! I will bet most people wouldn't notice that but I work for another local government so I notice those things. Lots of people were out enjoying the nice weather. People with their kids in the kids area, people with their pets in the pet atea and people like me shopping for plants. They also had some food trucks out and staff/volunteers directing traffic and keeping things nice. Again, great venue for a festival in the heart of Carrollwood Village.

So the dogs have nothing to run run and bark at driving in the street. They have multiple concrete sections with dual water fountains for filling up swimming pools for the puppies in the summer. As soon as you walk in there is a poop bag dispenser trash can and water fountain. There are enough old growth trees to keep you busy counting them the whole time you're here. The only problem is you have to park across the street but it's not that far of a walk although I am sure during the weekdays it can be a little packed. But today is Sunday and there is absolutely no one here in the parking lot was wide open. The Tampa dog park was packed and this one is empty although I think this one is nicer. But if you wonder why the star count is so low all you have to do is read some of the reviews, very few are about the actual Park most of them are about how people felt. Could you imagine Life as a dog if your owner never let you find a tree? Out of the 2000 dog parks we have been to this park definitely would rate above the better half of dog parks line, but that's just my personal opinion hahaha

It's one of the smaller dog parks that I've been to the trees are nice, but your dog or puppy will not be able to run and enjoy themselves as much as they would with a place with less trees in the middle of the park however there are some balls left by other people that your dog may enjoy

It's a good thing this dog park isn't in Temple Terrace otherwise I would be eating my words about the last dog park I went to there being the nicest dog park in the area. This one is a lot bigger and a lot nicer and parking is very very close and you can easily walk around the interior of the fence line, and it is quite a ways. There is a nice shaded gazebo right in the middle with benches underneath it and there are large old growth trees spaced all over with benches underneath them also for shaded seating. There is all kinds of room for dogs to run and play and there is a nice concrete pathway that goes out to the Shaded structure. There are also multiple poop bag dispensers, trash cans, and water fountain.

This park has a number of FUN-dementals to offer the average city slicker. The park currently offers canoeing (weather permitting). Which we will go back in Spring to try out. They have a BMX ramp/exhibit which has areas for practicing *BMX membership required for practice. They have 3 hiking trails that span out about 1.5- 3 miles. **You can ride bikes also. It has 2 lakes: Jackson & Starvation which allows fishing and camping is allowed for non profit organizations. The park does have a few shelters for rent and if they are not reserved on a particular day they are first come first serve. Along with all of the things mentioned above the park offers a gazebo for intimate affairs like marriages. A horse-show.**Select dates. It has a volleyball space and an archery ramp. There's so much more to see at this beautiful conservatory I want you to make plans for that trip sooner than later!!
