This one is a lot bigger and a lot nicer and parking is very very close and you can easily walk around the interior of the fence line, and it is quite a ways. There is a nice shaded gazebo right in the middle with benches underneath it and there are large old growth trees spaced all over with benches underneath them also for shaded seating. There is all kinds of room for dogs to run and play and there is a nice concrete pathway that goes out to the Shaded structure. There are also multiple poop bag dispensers, trash cans, and water fountain.

After they separated, I remained close to my dogs to ensure they were not causing the problems which they weren't. Upon walking back towards the front of the park, the same dog owned by a tall heavyset blond woman and another person's dog, owner male both jumped my dog pinning my husky to the ground, while they both tried to bite him. Neither owner did anything to stop it. I had to get in there for them to stop attacking my dogs risking getting bit myself. After it was over, the female dog owner had the audacity to tell me I should take my dogs and go when it was her dog and the other dog's male owner that did nothing. Just stood there and watched. My husband had never had an issue at this park, but I refuse to go again and it's the closest park to our home. Photos of owners and dogs attached. I would highly advise against taking your dog into this park if they're around. Horrible and frightening experience with owners that did not care and did nothing to make it stop. The lady also persisted to laugh and make fun of me for being upset. I intend to file reports with animal control and spoke to a sheriff while at the park.

Ybor City Dog Park just opened in December, and I recently checked it out…read more From reading about it, it is a 4,000 square foot gated area. This is Friends of Ybor's first project which is thoughtful and helpful for the community to bring them together. Many people are dog lovers and love bringing their dog to dog friendly places. Pete's Bagels, which is a local bagel spot in St. Pete will be opening adjacent to it and it will be a nice spot for dog lovers and their dogs. It was a nice layout with benches for the dog owners and an open area for the dogs to run around as well as a few platforms for the dog to jump on. When we went, there was only one dog in there, so I felt comfortable seeing that I have a small dog. Soon after another dog came with lots of energy and almost ran down my dog. If your dog is not good with other size dogs it's not a good spot. There's only one area, and it doesn't separate big and small dogs. There's also dog owners who bring their dogs out without training and then don't care. Hope that bites them in the ass later. Pun intended.
