I asked for referrals for a Webster certified chiropractor on our neighborhood group and so many people suggested Lander chiropractic. I had the pleasure of being treated by both doctors. They helped align the baby better and helped me hip feel better. They also had options to get acupressure and acupuncture if I needed sport for getting induced. I felt like I was in great hands and felt very safe to get treated by them while being pregnant. Baby was born early I think partially thanks to them getting him in a good position and I was able to avoid a much dreaded dooming induction (that was being pushed by my OB). Pain radiating from my hip to my ankle for five weeks finally made me seek help. After talking treatment with my doctor and getting her confirmation, I went with my gut and made an appointment with a chiropractor. She said, "I go to a chiropractor. I'm going to tell you that as with all doctors what is important is going to someone who is trusted and well-known." Not going to lie, this is way out of my comfort zone. I've always feared the "cracking". 49 years old and have never gone to the chiropractor. The nerves driving there outweighed the pain in my hip and leg - yes, it was that serious. I was referred to Lander Chiropractic through several friends and from the moment I made the call I knew I was in good hands. Samantha was friendly, helpful, and let me know while there were no appointments available she would see if any of the doctors would be able to see me due to my level of pain. She did my intake via phone and the whole time reassured me that all of the doctors in this office were exceptional. Guess what? She did it! I was booked with Dr. James (owner with his wife - also a chiropractor) at 3:00! My anxiety was through the roof as I drove there but again, that damn pain was extraordinary so I kept driving. Dr. James brought me into the room and honestly I can't remember exactly what he said (again, the nerves from being a first time chiropractic patient) I felt like he not only was extremely versed in this medical field but his bedside manner was extremely comforting. During the visit I learned a lot about the spine, my particular issues, and ways to make my situation better. He aligned my legs in seconds (they have never been the same length), cracked jokes, and explained what he believes is the issue. To be real, I think I have a long way to recovery. I have no idea what I did to cause the pain, but I can tell you this - that visit made a difference in my physical pain and mentally helped me by giving me hope that with treatment it will get better. Am I feeling great? No, I still have pain in my leg, but my back which I didn't realize even had issues feels amazing and my leg does feel a bit better. I also walked away with HW (as a teacher this kinda makes me chuckle) two stretches (not 10 like physical therapists sometimes throw your way) and an appointment in a week. I'll let y'all know how it goes. Honestly, I am not "all better" and a "miracle" didn't happen, but I did get some relief and I believe that with time and Dr. James this leg pain will cease and I will be able to go back to my norm (strength training and walking without pain). A few funny moments: Courtney, the office manager, (who Samantha- remember, the angel who helped me book the appointment) told me on the phone would be there when I arrived as she would be off, was totally helpful and helped me get my card on file which I requested. Dr. Anastasia (Dr. James' wife) seemed friendly and boss chick as she was at the front desk (I assume doing work) while singing along to some 90s band that I too was singing along too. She let me know that the playlist is created by the doctors, employees, and patients, so it had everything from the 50s to current. Side note: I plan to add a few suggestions to that playlist. ;) There were two pregnant and new moms in there ready to see Dr. Anastasia and had only great things to say about her. Another patient, James (I think) said he was an attorney gave the place a stellar review. In the end, I have an appointment in a week (which Dr. James somehow fit in to his busy schedule) and I'm less nervous and more excited to finally feel some relief after five weeks of pain. If you are unsure where to go, my suggestion is to definitely call Lander Chiropractic. I'll update this review as my treatment continues. I have high hopes and a lot of respect for Dr. James. read more

I've been here twice for sciatic pain during my pregnancy & I plan on going consistently until I give birth. My pain level was almost unbearable & could barely walk (off & on). Ok so first of all Dr A is very knowledgeable and helpful. My child has epilepsy and hearing chiropractic care could help was definitely something I wanted to try. My daughter is 6 years old and at first she was shy and nervous but after her first visit it's seems she is excited to go visit dr a and get her adjustment (pop pop as dr a told her). Throughout my entire pregnancy I never experienced that extreme lower back pain you hear so many women get. Occasionally I would have some but that's also due to still working till my due date. And my job as a dental assistant you're bent forward a lot of the times. Or in weird positions to assist the Dr so I was worried when I got pregnant my back would just kill me. To my surprise it never got to that point because I was on it with my exercises that she would have me do at home i'm so glad my Midwife referred me over here because I honestly think I would've had terrible back pain throughout my pregnancy. If I did not come to get treated here also the front staff they're always really nice and extremely accommodating when I have specific dates or times that works best with my schedule to make my appointment as I do live in Orange County yes, I make the commute from South Orange County to Brea because they are worth the drive. I'm someone who wasn't aware that even babies need to go to the Chiropractor, but after getting educated which I wish more people knew about this that starting at a young age is so beneficial. I started taking my daughter to Dr.A a few years ago for cranial therapy for her ADHD. We saw nothing but major improvement with her behavior, attitude, attention span and her overall mood. Huge red flag. This office is on my HMO blue shield plan. I can only go to an office that is part of a designated network. I can have 20 visits and there is no copay. The woman called to schedule the appointment. The accupuncturist has very limited hours. Most people call when they are in pain and want relief and there no available appointments for 9 days. Then she tell me "You have to pay $20". I said "For what?" She said "If you don't show up for your appointment on time". I then asked her "What do you do if you do not see me at the scheduled time or cancel?" She sort of stuttered and said "Well, you'll get your $20 back". Any offices that do this are quacks and desperate for a few bucks. No thanks..there are a million places to go that don't have a policy like this. They have to trap their patients? Weird. read more

My first pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period with were exceptionally rough. Consistent lumbar, ligament, and sciatic pain for 8 months, 35 hours of active labor, 5 hours of pushing, an ER visit within 72 hours of discharge, and weeks of putting my body back together. My body was a mess, it did nothing that it was supposed to; and that's the abbreviated comfy version. When I finally worked up to considering a second child, I decided I would approach the pregnancy very differently. This time around I ate different, did yoga stretches, labor squats, grounding, prenatal massages once a month, and most importantly, I did prenatal chiropractic care with Lander Chiropratic. They taught me how to manage or eradicate things I chalked up to being pregnancy woes from the first time around (pain, fatigue, stiffness, acid reflux, etc). This time around: 12 hours of pre labor (that were so manageable that I took my first daughter out for our last solo lunch date), 16 hours of active labor, and 13 minutes of pushing. 13 MINUTES! My body is recovering correctly, no ER visit, no lingering back pain. It's crazy. Yes, I am still fatigued and working on quality sleep while managing a newborn and toddler. But I feel my body is supporting me so much more this time around and I can be more present for my family.
