Doctor 'Stasia as my daughter calls her is amazing. She treated me all through pregnancy and beyond. Presently our entire family is seen in the office. We receive routine chiropractic adjustments, cranio sacral therapy, and enjoy the benefit of having access to not only chiro but massage and acupuncture under one roof. We love them dearly like they are members of our family and want nothing more than to share their wealth of knowledge and care with everyone. During covid Dr. 'Stasia reads books to our kids via their youtube channel and they send out relevant exercises to keep us all as limber and stress free as possible. I thought all Chiropractors were the same - but not at Lander Chiropractic! I also thought I'd never be pain-free again - I'd actually given up on the thought of being pain-free ever again and had resigned myself to living with daily pain! Even between their two Doctors, James and Anastasia, they are not the same at all: Dr. Anastasia provides the gentlest treatment I've ever experienced and specializes in expectant mothers, children, newborns even; whereas, Dr. James applies more pressure where it's needed. The two doctors complement each other well. The other two services, massage, and acupuncture round out the offerings and after using all 3 services for several months I've gone from having pain 6-7 days per week down to 1-2 days per week. Dr. A is amazing. I went in for the first time when I was 39 weeks pregnant. I was uncomfortable and I was ready to have my baby. I went in and she made me feel comfortable but then put me to work walking and doing squats. Then she gave me an adjustment and realigned my hips. I went home and did 150 squats. About an hour later I started having more contractions and ended up having my baby girl that morning at 4am. It was such a fast and easy delivery compared to my first. Went to visit Lander Chiropractic and was amazed by the work and professionalism of Dr James Lander! My line of work is very demanding on my body and was struggling with aches and pains in my back. I am sorry to say that my first chiropractor experience was not very helpful. I booked an appointment with Dr.A because lots of good reviews on Yelp about her specialized manage pain in pregnancy. The first half of the visit was great, she asked me lots of questions try to know my situation, she also did a few mins of stretching on my back. Then she said she need to go outside to take care of the kids that were making noises. Dr.H took over, she was nice, but I wasn't very impressed by the work she did. It was different than Dr.A did it. Anyways, to me if someone show up to the first chiropractor visit, and if you care to keep them as a return customer, take care of them, so they want to come back. It's not about the $20 copay, it's my time drive all the way there, and the dr I am going for didn't take me serious, I felt I didn't get the quality of the treatment like others, and what bothers me the most is I am almost 37 weeks pregnant, Is dr. H specialized to work on pregnant women?! Because she only had a year experience in this field, I wish I was giving an option/or informed. Dr. A helped me with my back pain throughout my pregnancy as well as helped with my labor believe it or not! For my first child and without any chiropractic care, I was in labor for 26 hours but with my second child and with chiropractic care, my labor was 10 hours!!! I love Lander Chiropractic! My wife and I initially went to another local chiropractor, but being that we've never had any prior experience with chiropractors before, we did not know what to expect. At the other business we were just ushered in, and a few areas cracked/corrected with some simple basic questions regarding prior injuries and symptoms. At Lander, Dr James and the staff Were very thorough in explaining what did or might have caused the symptoms that I was experiencing, and even used visual skeletal models to explain why certain habits and activities might be worsening my conditions. Also, they didn't just adjust my neck and back and send me off on my way, but tried to massage areas that needed more than just an adjustment and go through preventative measures and exercises to keep the problems from returning. It finally happened, my lower back gave out. I had a normal previous day except I did some leg lifts without stabilizing my lower back. The first thing in the morning, while in a normal sitting position, my entire left lower back balled up so tight and it was painful to stand, sit, or walk. I couldn't miss work (which involves a fair amount of physical activity). I called Lander Chiropractic right away. The only time that worked for me was their last spot at 12:50pm. It was reserved for a routine adjustment and not a new issue like mine. The receptionist put me on a brief hold, then said the doctor would be able to see me!!! I was so thankful to Dr. A Lander to fit me in. The amount of pain I was experiencing was so debilitating. She diagnosed me with an L5-S1 lesion. Dr. J Lander showed me exercises to help as well as tips to ice my back. I felt immediately better. It is still uncomfortable but at least I can function normally. I was referred to Dr. A by a family friend, and although I was skeptical to bring my newborn daughter of 4 weeks old in the beginning. I am glad I decided to bring her in. As many newborns my daughter suffered from colics, and had a hard time sleeping during the night. Since Dr.A is very busy I was scheduled about a month out however, the ladies in the front office had me on a cancellation list and my baby was seen within days after I had initially called to schedule. Amazing !!! During the first visit I learned that my daughter had a lot of built up gas making it hard for her to burp. Also, was recommended a new and better formula for my baby. I did the switch and have been coming to see Dr.A since! I am beyond grateful and glad I decided to bring my baby. She now eats better and is able to sleep 7-8 hours at night. I'm still floored at the kindness and service I received from Dr. Anastasia, Dr. James and their staff. I was 37.5 weeks pregnant on my first appointment and arrived in hopes of helping my baby to reposition. It was presenting O.P. Head down but face looking out into the world and planning for a home-birth, this position is not optimal with the highest percentage of "stuck" babies... so I drove one hour from home at the recommendation of my midwife to see Dr. Anastasia. What a graceful and positive bedside manner, I didn't realize the degree of stress and turmoil i had been holding onto as a result of my emotions trying to handle a lot of what life had thrown at me in the last months of my pregnancy. Dr. Anastasia used several methods to work with me over the course of 4 appointments- needless to say that after the first, my midwife confirmed the baby had rotated. She has such an intuitive and loving way in her healing practice. This is more than "chiropractic" work, it's absolutely soul touching... (fear of sounding exaggerated but nothing short of the truth) I am so grateful for the level of sincere care and follow up. This practice has given the term Chiropractor a new dimension. I have been a patient of Lander Chiropractic for over a year now. Initially, I had seen Dr. James for general care and had shared my husband and I were having fertility issues. He recommended I see his wife, Dr. Anastasia instead. Two months after my first appointment I had a positive pregnancy test and continued to see Dr. A throughout my pregnancy until a few months prior to my due date. Dr. A was excellent and always so friendly. I'm sure you're wondering why the two stars - well it's mainly for the front office staff and poor customer service which can really hinder the overall experience. I've had experiences with the following: - Cancelled appointments for being booked when Dr. A was not in the office - An appointment was "booked" in office later to find out that it was never actually scheduled. I showed up at the appointment time I had confirmed later to find out it was already filled by someone else. - Charged a $20 cancellation fee for when I was truly sick. The fee was later waived but it took multiple days to receive a response and the individual said I needed to notify them 24 hours in advance in accordance with their cancellation policy. I notified mid-morning I was sick for an evening appointment. Not everyone knows 24 hours in advance when they are sick. The experience which stemmed this review is due to countless appointments where I was taken sometimes 30+ minutes late because of a new mother and baby coming home from the hospital and wanting to see Dr. A ASAP. I never complained because I figured the same treatment would apply to me when my time came. I attempted to make an appointment for me and baby today and was told the earliest we could be seen is 12 days away. After mentioning how often I was taken late past my appointment to work new moms and babies in, I was told the same thing - the earliest appointment being 12 days away. Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed with the experiences from the last few months. I had hoped for better once baby arrived. read more

I have been using chiropractic care as part of my regual health routine for over 30 year and I have seen gret benefits from chiropractic care. About a year ago I started experiencing pain in my left shoulder and was being treated by my then current chiropractior, but he was not able to make any progress with the pain. I was introduced to Lander Chiro through MOPS moms of preschoolers ,it's a mommy group. Little did I know they would answer my prayers. Let me tell you why. My London is 23 months she was born delayed and considered premature 32 weeks at 39 weeks of gestation. No specific diagnosis or answers till today. We have been through neurologist CHLA , Metabolic doctors at CHOC, geneticists CHOC , pediatricians, orthopedic doctor, neurosurgeons , physical therapists and even MRI. No one could explain to me why this was happening to my little London. Within first two visits with Dr A London started to stand correctly on her own and walked . At 23 months some call it coincidence I call it Dr A. You have a child with special needs come see Dr A ,worth every penny. $10 is my copay . Unfortunately my insurance cut her off after just 5 or 6 visits . Not because it isn't working because she doesn't meet "insurance code ." Currently paying cash and very reasonable at $30. This place has been the best thing I did for my body after the birth of my daughter. I wasnt even able to put my pants on with out extreme pain in shooting in my pelvis. With Dr A help, I have significantly less pain in hips and mobility has increased 10 fold .. I feel normal again and I can put my pants on with out crying!!! She also adjusts my daughter giving the best care so her little body grows up strong and straight. Plus my daughter loves going there she feels so comfortable it's never a fight or meltdowns like other Dr offices with her. I have also brought my husband for pain in his shoulders, he has never have been to a chiropractor or had massage and has always been apprehensive so i had to drag him in kicking and fighting. I am beyond frustrated with this company. I would like to preface by saying that I really liked the Drs though, they do a good job. The FRONT DESK. (This was last year) 1. They made an appointment for me on a day they were not open. 2. They overcharged me. 3. They decided that AFTER my appointment concluded was a good time to tell me they no longer accept my insurance and I would be paying cash. 4. Oh wait after you paid cash you have a credit! If you want to come in you can pay $11 and use that credit for a session! 5. Called yesterday to make an appointment after hurting myself (Costco why so bulk) girl at the front (very sweet tried her best) she said she could not see a credit and she needed to talk to her manager and they would call today. I called this morning and they said yes you have a credit but now it'll be $85 to come in, I said please cancel oh but guess what? There is a cancellation fee and there goes my credit. I have been a patient of Dr Anastasia's and Dr Mike for Chiropractic and acupuncture care. They have both assisted me in healing and working through my multiple autoimmune diseases and now that I am pregnant they are helping me through my pregnancy. Cannot recommend this place enough! I have been seeing Dr. A for years. As a hairdresser, I had assumed that back pain was part of the job. One day it got so bad that I couldn't get up from bed. I have had chiropractic treatment on and off throughout my life so I feel I'm very aware of the benefits of good spinal alignment. I met Dr A about a year ago through networking and have had a chance to get to know her. She is a very kind, authentic and caring person. She is knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. This is who she is, not who she's trying to be when you're her patient. Last summer I relocated my aunt to a living community closer by me in order to be her aid and advocate. My aunt suffers from a genetic disease in my family that affects her muscle control and body movements among other things. I noticed how my aunt's posture was incredibly off center while trying to dress her. Her hips go to the left and her shoulders go to the right at an alarming angle. An angle that appears to be almost 45 degrees! I asked her if she would like to see a chiropractor and she shared with me that she had seen a chiropractor regularly a few years ago but it didn't really help. I suggested we try another Dr and she agreed. I knew that Dr A would be a perfect fit for my aunts interpersonal needs so I made the appointment. My aunt lives in Huntington Beach and Dr A is in Brea which is quite a trip but I hoped my aunt would get some relief. After a thorough intake interview Dr A got to work. Before she did anything she would tell my aunt what she wanted to do and got my aunts permission. Each movement, each step. This was profound for both my aunt and I since my aunt does not get a choice in what's happening to her body and Dr A's natural sensitivity was incredible. For the remainder of the visit, she would gently massage and stretch my aunt's back muscles. First completing one side and then the other. No rush. No spine adjustments. Dr A showed me how I can continue with the same techniques in order to help my aunt's muscle contractions. It is going to be a longer than usual treatment plan due to her disease and a long car ride but when the visit was finished and my aunt was back on her feet I cannot begin to describe the difference I saw!! My aunt was standing straight!! It was almost surreal and there is no way I would have believed there would be that dramatic of an improvement in one visit. And although she was going to be a bit sore, she said that she felt immediate relief. I can not recommend Dr A highly enough!!!
