Per usual for a Ford dealership everything about this place is based on lies and greed. One the worst service departments I've dealt with in my life. I wouldn't have known anything going on with my truck had I not called at least every other day. Got the told that classic, "we don't have any loaners just rentals." Then was told that I couldn't get a rental until the repairs were approved by ford which would take at least a week. After a phone call to the service manager I was told I could get my own rental and be reimbursed for it. However on short notice on a friday I couldn't secure a rental. After about 2 weeks of their service department cosplaying mechanics they suddenly needed the rental back and magically they had loaners to give out. it's been a month to this day without my truck. Jobs that should take 2 hours take 8, no help from the guys upfront that are supposed to give you info on your trucks repairs and just constant lies are abundant here. I'm supposed to get my truck back today but I'm guessing it's still broke as I've already picked it up once and it had an active check engine light back on before I left the parking lot. Back into the shop it goes and back to "your guess is as good as mine" mentality when it comes to fixing cars. Not too mention salesman giving out fake numbers on trade ins to get you in the door and then dropping the fee and bullshit warranty hammer on you right before they ask for your signature. This place is a joke. I'm so over dealerships that if o have another issue with my truck that I'd rather pay out of pocket than deal with these idiots again. read more

I sent my parents (in their 70's) to Landmark because I knew the sales manager and thought he would take care of them, I was wrong. He KNEW they were desperate for a car and he took advantage of that. He sold them a car that should have been on an auction truck (one headlight was broken pointing at the ground, horn didn't work, one tire had threads showing with no jack or spare in the car, and a few other issues). They owned the car a month and only got to drive it for 4 days, it was in Landmarks shop the rest of the time. My parents had a loaner car and the sales MANAGER Jay Gaydosh was an absolute a$$ come time to take the loaner back, he was trying to stick my Dad with it. My Dad went elsewhere to get a vehicle and got taken care of the way I thought Jay would. He took the loaner back to Landmark and was told that they would give him $3,000 for the car they sold him that was still in their shop.....after selling it to my Dad for $13,000. Sales Manager is very rude and tried to tell me that a prive on a car I was trying to buy was the price he paid for the car. Almost full retail on a used car that the rear windows would not close all the way unless you took your hand and closed them and the rear bumper needed repainted. I did an unfavorable report some time ago about a 150,000 service. In that case it took 13 days to get the tasks done and the only communication they offered is when I called them. One of the tasks was to check and edjust the brakes. Done right, except when I had to park it on a hill later in the week, I engaged the emergency brake and it started to roll down hill. I recently contacted them to get a copy of the bill for that service. I tried calling to no avail so I decided to use teir text function. The agent who answered, pretty promtly. He informed me he would forward it to the right department. I waited 1 hour and 7 minutes and decided to send another text with a reminder i'd been waiting 1 hour and seven minutes, about ten minutes later I got an apologetic resonse and would forward my info to the right department. I just quit the text string. I never heard another word! read more

Everything is not better at landmark. Took my ford vehicle here because it was having trouble starting. Asked if they could just take a look. The guy seemed pissed I asked like I was supposed to know his schedule and said I could come back in 3 weeks. Three workers including him were just chilling out doing nothing and they wouldn't even walk outside and look at my car. No recommendations, no asking what's wrong, no suggesting somewhere else to go, just "come back in 3 weeks and fuck off". Never ever going back. read more

My daughter-in-law has a 2013 Ford Escape that the door latch randomly stopped latching. The door will not shut. It is not drivable because the door hangs open. She called to get it in to get it fixed. They said it was a recall and couldn't get the car in until nearer to the end of March. This is ridiculous, because the car isn't safe to drive and can't be locked. She lives in an apartment complex, so it could be stolen. We temporarily have it in our garage, bumping our cars to the driveway. My husband called, because surely in a highly unusual emergency situation like this, they could squeeze a vehicle in for service. The response from them was that he could bring it in and leave it in the lot, and if for some reason at some point in the future, if they had time, they could potentially fix it. He reiterated that it doesn't lock and could be stolen if not kept in their garage, and the response was that it could be stolen any day normally anyway. Give me a break. The cops tell you not to leave your cars unlocked for a reason. Why do you think it is currently in our garage and not in my daughter-in-law's apartment complex parking lot? I am appalled at how this business conducts itself. The attitude that employees have nowadays is shocking. This Ford dealership is a prime example. We can't even take it to a more empathetic, customer friendly Ford dealership, because you have to drive with one hand, while holding the driver door closed with the other hand. Can you imagine interstate speeds doing this? They have us between a rock and a hard place, and they are reveling in it. DO BETTER LANDMARK FORD! Landmark Ford sold a truck with the frame completely rusted out. This vehicle was only owned for a month and a half. Headed to get onto the highway, the spare tire rusted out, fell off, sent the back end up and tore out parts and his truck came to a complete stop. We came up to Landmark to talk to the GM and he wouldn't even speak with anyone and told the sales person to tell him "if the truck broke in half, he owns both pieces". I'm the lead truck mechanic at another Ford dealer in Illinois. Over the years I've been working here i have fixed countless mistakes that people send me after landmark has worked on their truck. I won't even get into that right now because it's too many characters than this review will allow, but this last experience I've had with them has gotten them blacklisted from any kind of business I, or my parts department will do with them anymore. I purchased an injector driver module from them a few weeks ago for my truck. It worked fine for a while and then stopped. So i returned it and told them to refund me. They took it back after trying to argue about why this part wouldn't work in my truck (they have no idea what they are talking about), but I made them take it back anyway and send me my old one. Then they proceeded to charge me 75 dollars to return the part. These people are absolute scum and should not be in business. They make poor, unnecessary repairs to vehicles, lie outright to customers (which i have personally dealt with at my shop), damage customer vehicles almost beyond repair, and will scam you out of any amount of money they possibly can. The service department recently changed out mt rear differential and did not do an alignment on it. it took 4 weeks to get it in and another 4 weeks to fix it. I had to go the the GM to get a loaner. the service department refused to do it, even though it was under warranty. The only business I will do with them is warranty work. I have bought 3 cars from them. i will not buy anothe. AND I had to pay someone else to do an alignmen. Horrible service and workmanship. read more

I have a fairly new eco sport. When I purchased this vehicle brand new I was told it had a lifetime warranty and loaner cars would be included. My check engine light is on and first of all it took weeks to get my car in and then I'm getting told they have no loaners available. My husband and I both have to have a vehicle and it's not my fault the car is already acting up. When I had my Nissan if something went wrong they put me in a loaner and if they did not have one they paid to rent one. I'll be getting the car fixed and immediately trading it in and never buying another ford again because obviously they don't care about their customers or if they can get to work or appointments. recently purchased a used 2019 Ford Explorer with 26k miles in overall great condition when I began looking at the used inventory on the lot I liked the Explorer, was quoted a price of 26k plus tax. I had a 19 year old Cadillac as a trade in with only a gentle 92k miles on it it had new tires and struts, rear air shocks. was truthful about a slight oil leak. The sales rat told me he would keep that to himself so I could get top dollar for my trade in( his name is Dave Mceen). I had a lot on my mind that day but when he brought me a printed break down of the cost the rat told me that because they were giving me the fair market value of my Caddy they then had to charge me fair market value for their car that increased the price to 32k. to take this to court and hire a lawer to fight this B.S would cost more than it is worth. Service after the sale is horrible! Tried to call and get the paperwork I needed for the title and the finance manager said "I am not your personal secretary" this is the paperwork I had to get from him. Had to call and get the paperwork for my extended warranty and after 3 phone calls I ended up getting someone else they they gave me the number to the company. First off at no point does a car salesman ever help a consumer. Its our money we are helping them out not the other way around. We went to buy car salesman did his part took with absolutely no negotiation on price then took us to finance and then left to get car cleaned. Finance manager did all the paperwork even called bank confirming interest rates. For our own reasons we finance manager for bill of sales order and said we would come with money. We never asked to hold car never put an money down it would have been fine if they sold it before we got back that was our choice. Finance manager goes to gets GM, he comes into office claiming giving us a bill of sale is an extra step and would cost him more than $200 to do this on a vehicle I'm sure they would profit 8-9k or more on. I asked him 3 time would you please just give us a bill of sale. He refused so we stood up started walking out door of the facility then yells just do what they want I responded too late were leaving. The salesman texted me about 10 mins later apologizing and wondering what happened. I responded to him about what his GM did and why we left. Also that we went a mile down road bought a car at another place no problems at all. I also told him not communicate with me again. So he sends me another text claiming that we were uncommunicative. Also claiming he did all that work and now some other salesman would reap the rewards of his hard work and tanking me for my time. Salesmen do nothing but input consumer information into a computer cart you off to their finance and hand keys at end if you buy. Car dealers display products and consumers buy them its that simple. Anyone thinking otherwise is miss guided. So I can mark this day as knowing we will never try to buy another vehicle from this family of stores. I will be happy to leave town to find different dealer and pay extra tax and fees to avoid avoid this dealership. This is 2 weeks later car still on lot 2 grand cheaper. 2/17/2022 Update to a response to my review from dealer. You lose the sale with me. You most likely fixed the ac blower fan and suspension knock/rattle also on the vehicle. I asked but was told no on the knock/rattle and yes on the fan. Both known problems with vehicle but I would have still bought it at asking price. You sell the car at more than 2 grand cheaper than I was going to pay but you wouldn't negotiate on price with me. I know this because I watched the price drop again days later. Now responding to my review elsewhere but not apologizing just disappointed for my experience at your dealership. A customer service manage is asking for me to call and talk to him about my experience with his boss the GM of the facility. Too little to late. Please read my original post again. I will NEVER and neither will my Wife our 4 kids ever shop at Landmark Ford Family stores again. I wont be calling because that would be between you and me and no one else will ever know how you treated customers with the ability to buy what they wanted. But less than $300 stopped that. When you work hard for every dollar you make and you finally are able to obtain financing to purchase a used vehicle that you were told was inspected and is running great... you don't expect to have a major breakdown in the first few months of ownership. We bought a used van from Landmark Automotive Group in Springfield IL on May 8, 2021. Yes I UNDERSTAND it is a USED VAN.... When I contacted the sales person about this van, I asked a lot about the history, service records and if they had inspected it. The sales guy, Jeremy Lookis, said he would have it inspected. He then messaged me back after it had been inspected and said that everything was fine and they gave the van an oil change. We took the van for a test drive as directed by the salesman, which was around a several block area basically around their dealership. Once we completed the paperwork and headed back to Colfax. On the way home, at 55-60 there was a shake in the front end. I called the salesman once we were home about it. The next day Garry Oesch had I'm the van looked at and it was discovered that the sway bar was bad and needed replaced. Also the rear differential was leaking, and the tires were dry rotted on the inside. So we had the work done and had new tires put on. In late August on the way to work, the van broke down... the transmission had went out! (No warning lights nothing, just wouldn't drive after going from Colfax to I55 at Towanda) I called the dealership and left several voicemails and never heard back. We had our dealership put in a remanufactured transmission with a warranty. Back on the road... on this last Monday Garry drove to Peoria no problem, once he turned on to Pioneer Rd, the van lost all power and started knocking!!! The engine had just went out.... Thankfully a good friend helped him get it back to Normal the next day to the dealership where we have had all our work done. Now the van needs a new engine! I called Landmark Automotive in Springfield AGAIN.... I spoke to Jeremy Lookis and he said he felt bad but his hands were tied. I said we bought this van 4 MONTHS AGO! 4 MONTHS! He just said he was sorry we only had a 90 day warranty.... So I called the General Manager Mr. Borski 2 times and he called me back... only to be very short with me and to keep repeating "What did you expect for a 9 year old van with over 140k in mileage." Everything I said to him... he would just say "I will repeat... what did you expect," or I hate to say it again" Now, I understand we bought a USED VAN... that is 9 years old with 142k in mileage... but we EXPECTED it would last longer than 4 MONTHS ! He said I don't know what you want from us? Well what I wanted was a van that was gonna last longer than 4 MONTHS! I am so disappointed with Landmark Automotive Group.... When inventory is low here the salesmen will do the same to customer wallets, credit reports and give you bones for your trade in . Steer clear but if you do venture out there..... My suggestion: Remember to write things down verbatim ( like I did ) what they tell you on the phone then compare it to what you are told again at the dealership and let the fun begin. Funny how you can work out a deal the day before, drive 35 minutes there for an " appointment " only to find out the salesman forgot to mention the car you are trying to buy is now called a Demo and the employee who takes it home, buys groceries and takes the Cat to the vet in it.... does not work today OOPS !! I traded in my 2019 Hyundai Kona for a 2018 Ford Edge, they ran my gap insurance and told me I was getting $6,000.00 back from my Kona and I could use that as the down payment. and that sounded pretty good to me. Well I got my gap check from Hyundai and it was only $4,000.00. I called repeatedly and everyone told me that I had to speak to the finance manager Brian. Every single one. flash forward 2 months to today when I am finally done with their lack of service, and I go back up there where I am told that Brian does not meet with customers and there is nothing they can do, and that Martin treated me like I was an idiot and did not know anything. I have informed them I am reaching out to my lawyer to unwind the deal because this is the worst experience I've EVER had. read more

Traded our vehicle at the end of June for a newer one under the agreement and contract of a certain APR and monthly payment only to find out 3 weeks later the Finance dept. reworked the original contract 2 days after taking possession and never contacted us with the change. For almost a month we have been trying to rectify the situation and get answers as to why this happened only to be told "What do you want us to do about it?" No offer of explanation, no apologies or anything. This was the 4th vehicle from this dealership and will be our last. A simple courtesy call or heads up would have been acceptable...not the brush off and "Accept what you got as a gift and be happy with it" attitude that was presented to us. Our salesman went above and beyond to try and help us in this situation but in the end even he was pushed aside over it. Anyone in the market for a 2022 Escape? I talked to Tim. I text Tim at 11 am telling him what 3 cars I wanted to look at. He said no problem. I then proceeded to drive 1.5 hours from Peoria to look at these cars. When I got there, Tim seemed to not know where they were. He told me that he would get them for me to drive while I went to lunch. While I was at lunch, Tim texted me and told me that 2 of the 3 cars I wanted to look at were sold the day before and the 3rd car was in Taylorville. I asked him if he had anything else comparable. Tim NEVER responded to me after that. What a horrible experience. I just drove home at that point and actually got a really good deal at another dealer. This place is a joke. read more

Ok, well I hate to be negative and I will try not to. For this all to make sense, I will admit over the last few years my credit has suffered due to the economy. So my options were a little tougher. My first go round with LM was in 2010 when I needed a vehicle. When I was working with the sales staff, they had no clue how much I was approved for. I was shown a car that I could barely fit in. Mind you I am broad shoulder, 5'10", 230 lb guy, built like a line backer. Finally had to speak with the finance manager, to get that cleared up, and got the truck I wanted. Well second go round was this month. The tranny on my other vehicle went out and decided I would just purchase another car. So went to LM again. I was shown vehicles that were on the lot probably over 90 days or greater. One I looked at still had the end of year blow out sticker under the seat. I was told this was the dollar amount I could go with, and saw another vehicle that I liked and would have bought on the spot. Same price as the ones on the list. But was told they didn't have enough mark up to cover costs and make money. Really..Really..that is what I was told. So went to another dealer the next and bought the car I wanted. Look for the review on that dealer. LM has a reputation of being the only ones in town for those with credit concerns, but they are wrong. Just my thoughts. read more

I am normally not one to write a review on anything but my experience at the dealership was god awful and i hope that this review actually makes people take their business elsewhere. I bought a Truck from this dealer late November 2021 upon arriving i get told the trailer breaks make a smell when i come to a complete stop, I was never made aware of this before driving over an hour to the dealer, I was told the truck is in great condition. There was a smell but not from the breaks, it was antifreeze a clear antifreeze smell. I then talk to the salesman (Sean) about this issue and they agree to knock a couple hundred off the price he also reassures me that if it turns out to be an actual problem they won't leave me stranded and will make things right. So I go on to purchase the truck, upon leaving the dealership after about 5 minutes of driving, the truck starts to overheat so I inspect the issue to see that there is absolutely no antifreeze in this truck at all. call the dealer and they cant do a thing for me, i'm over an hour from home and they cant do a thing for me. I get this issue resolved on my own and then get home and the next day I go out to my truck and now see that its leaking oil, so now i'm leaking oil and possibly antifreeze. I talk with Sean again and he's sure that they will help out so i take the truck into a shop and get quoted for $1000 worth of work, I reach out to Sean and send him the receipt and receive no response. A couple weeks later the entire transmission goes out on this truck and this time i call the dealer and talk to someone so after talking to someone he basically said tough luck. They did send me a check for my tow bill which was $300 but i promise I will never do business with the dealership ever again, the management here is trash. I wouldn't trust a single one of the mechanics to work on any of my vehicles, i was assured that this truck was looked over by one of their mechanics and if it was i surely hope he was fired. No antifreeze, leaking antifreeze, leaking oil, smell of antifreeze when stopping, temp sensor went bad, all plugs needed immediate replacement. Please DO NOT buy from this dealer it will save you from a humongous headache. read more

I bought a 2010 Fusion here, and 2 months later, the driver's inside door handle broke. That's pretty lame to begin with, but cheap parts are just part of the story. Since the car is a Certified Pre-Owned, I thought they'd just repair/replace the handle for free. Nope. They were happy to charge me for the job though. If a company can't guarantee that its products will last 2 months, that's a problem. When you're talking about a car and all the expensive parts contained therein, that's a MAJOR problem. Now I have to wonder what else is going to break and what else won't be covered under the much-vaunted CPO warranty program. The trademarked slogan of the CPO warranty is "relax, it's covered." Bought a vehicle from them a week ago. Got the vehicle home and the was checking out all the bells and whistles. Lifted up a storage bin in the floor and there was a brown liquid in the bottom. Oh and got all the way home and the oil change light came on! Called John McCarthy the salesman and told him the issue told me to bring it back and he would get it all corrected. Fast forward picked up my vehicle and oil change done...maybe. something says lift the storage bin. It was still brown liquid in the and now it stinks and someone has discolored the damn floor!! He takes pictures says he will talk to service people and get it corrected next day cause service was closed...I have heard nothing from him! Called service they said they only did the oil change nothing more! That tells me John's jank ass discolored my vehicle and just jank wiped the liquid or and that's why it's still shit in there...called some man named Ted.. He never called back either! We figured that the truck was out of warranty. Not only did Landmark Ford take care of us, they said it was free of charge and got us back on the road in amazing turnaround time! They said they could give him an approximate monthly payment so he would know if it was even feasible for him to get a new car. I asked sevetal times that they were NOT running his credit( because we all know ...ANY inquiries does lower your credit score! We were told they were NOT running any credit unless a deal was made. Two hours after we left the dealership..it showed up on credit carma that they did run his credit ....WITHOUT PERMISSION.....and his score lowered 3 points. SO DONT BELIEVE THEIR WORDS!!!!!!I. Bought a Ford Fusion new at landmark ford. I was scammed by the Finance Manager over a product called Safe Guard. I asked for my money back after learning about the scam from my insurance agent. The Finance manager threw a fit when I approached him about the scam. He refuse to give me my money back Don't buy a car from here. There is something fishy about this dealership. Better off buying else where. I do however love my Fusion. I just received a check in the mail for a refund. I bought my very first new car today at Landmark Ford. I had the pleasure of working with Walt Skube. Walt listened to me, made sure he understood exactly what I wanted and steered me to my brand new car. Mark Underwood was so incredibly friendly, never once did I feel pressured to buy a more expensive vehicle than I wanted and even after I changed my mind on a car Mark brought me around another to test drive which I ended up buying. He is so friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. December 15 I purchased a Nissan Armada. I bought it on a Saturday and by the following Tuesday the rear window controls stop working. So I contacted my sales person and he said bring it in when you get a chance. unfortunately, my employer doesnt allow frequent time off so it had to wait. I informed the salesperson of this and he said "dont worry we'll take care of it." So 83 days into owning this vehicle the valve cover gasket on the driver side leaks. I purchased the drivetrain service contract due to the age and mileage of the vehicle so I contact them to fix this issue. To my total dismay, I was told gaskets arent covered by the service contract, "only moving parts." I go rounds with them calling the finance officer and talking with the service guy Chris regarding the bogues service contract. The finance guy not once returned my phone calls. so i take the vehicle for them to service and find out why I was paying for a service contract that essentially covered nothing unless the trans or motor blows. I was met by a condescending new hire from finance telling me "we were the only people who wouldve given you a loan" and misstating my finance agreement with a high interest rate as a means of insult. All this happening in front of other customers in the lobby. So, needing my vehicle, I authorize the replacement of the gaskets at their price. I go pick the vehicle up and one side the valve cover that was leaking was cleaned and repaired. The other side was still dusty and dirty. I immediately have my personal mechanic look at it...he shook his head and said did they charge you for both gaskets? of course they did. He tells me "well only 1 side has been changed." I call Chris in service he says bring it in because he saw both valve covers removed. I take it in and get told the same thing but by the manager of the service department I assume. so i point out the descrepancies down to proving no finger, glove or tool had touched that side by wiping dust easily away from it. I demanded half my money back and am awaiting my check from them. BE CAREFUL THEY WILL TRY AND MANIPULATE AND INSULT YOU, KEEP YOUR LAWYER ON RETAINER IF PURCHASING FROM THEM! Will definitely screw you the moment they get the chance. You are better off buying used cars off of craigslist with a personal mechanic inspection for less bs and less money. They "inspect them" when you first get them but a few weeks later something comes up that should have been in the Inspection from the beginning and then blame the customer for not "reporting it on time", not "reporting it the moment you heard it" or any other excuse to avoid taking responsibility for it and make the customer pay additional money for something they did not inspect thoroughly. Its happened to a total of three of us. We have tried discussing these issues with the sales men and they are completely negligent and do not listen to the issue at all. I know its a male dominating industry, I am not trying to "whine" or "bitch" I am simply trying to reach a solution for something I paid a good amount for. If you are a woman and do not believe me, I encourage you to call them the next time you have an issue and speak to them to try to reach an solution. They won't listen to you. They will definitely take their ear off of the phone repeat the same thing over and over again even if the subject has change. Keep in mind, this isn't only me, it happened to three of us. Not to mention they are incredibly rude. We never reached an issue however I did ask my husband to call for me and when he did, their attitudes changed. How magical. The offered a solution (for more money I should add) however we didn't take it as I never want to set foot in this place again. I feel screwed, unheard and taken advantage of. All three of us do. 12/2017 Great Service in sales! This was a great place to buy a vehicle! The sales manager (Tim) was amazing to work with. I bought my truck in November '17, I had a few issues in first couple of weeks. Tim made sure to get it all taken care of very quickly, service department was easy to deal with and they always provided a rental if I needed one. I highly recommend Landmark for all vehicle needs. 10/2018 Well, disregard my highly recommend Landmark previously stated! I moved to AZ and drove my truck back to Springfield. I took my truck in because the AC/heat blower was not working. I went in to Landmark Ford where I purchased the truck on a Saturday. They had no tech there to look at it, so they said their store Landmark East had one on Saturdays. I called the Truck Center which is their East location and the guy said they didn't have any openings for over a week. I explained what it was doing and he said if I wanted to bring it over he could check the fuses. I said great, I will be right over. I got there the guy checked the fuses and said they were fine. He said he could hook it up to the computer since he had one there. He did and said it needs to be looked at because he couldn't see anything wrong. I decided I would just drive it home and get it repaired there. He then looks up at me and says "that's weird" I said "what" he said "it won't start" I am like what do you mean. He then presses the brake in and attempts to start it and it starts, but I notice there are three service lights on that were not on before. He says, you need to get it looked at, he wasn't sure what was going on. So I get in and back it out of service bay and the back up camera now doesn't work, the lights for the D R N doesn't work, and when I go to pull off it has very little power, it just revs very high. I then get time the street and realize it is not shifting, it is just stuck in one gear. I get it to other Landmark store and leave it for them to look at Monday. We have to rent a vehicle $200 to drive back to AZ $150 for gas in rental and flights back $150 to pickup my truck when they finish it. Monday they call me and tell me they are up to $250 in diagnostic fees and still haven't found the problem. I said well keep looking, I need it fixed. Finally, they call me and say it was missing a fuse! When they replaced the fuse everything works again except the blower that does need replaced. Now mind you the only people that were in that fuse box were the fuse disappeared were Landmark employees. They said it was all fixed and I owed $650. I said that is an expensive blower. They said $255 of that was to diagnose the fuse problem. I said I should not have to pay that, since a Landmark employee screwed that up. They said, they still had to diagnose it. I talked to many people about this over the next 8 days, made it up to the owner and he decide to put a note in giving me $100 credit. THIS IS UNBELEIVABLE TO ME!!!! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMOANY AGAIN. Because of the wonderful sales experience, my wife and I were coming in town in November to buy her expedition from them. We have canceled those plans. My Step Dad was going to buy an Explorer from them before the end of the year, that is not happening now. BE AWARE!!! They will not do what's right!!! read more

This dealership took my car buying experience to a new low. Please read the following for my story. I was looking online for a vehicle found one I liked and it turned out landmark Ford in Springfield Illinois had possession of this vehicle. I contacted a representative they told me the price and even marked it down a thousand dollars. I asked to come in to test drive it the representative responded absolutely. The next day the representative text me and told me the truck had already been sold to auction the night before. My girlfriend email to dealership that day inquiring on the same exact vehicle. They gave her the same story that they had it in stock and wanted her to come test drive it. To make the story worse they even ask her to put down a security deposit to hold the vehicle. I went in to the dealership to see if it actually was on the floor they told me it was , walked me out to the lot and proceeded to tell me they didn't have it anymore. Walking inside they told me it was sold to the dealership across the street and they sold it the day before. Nothing from this entire sales experience has added up and they tried to get money for something they didn't even have. this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth for this dealership. Their sales practices are unethical and not worth my 30 minute drive to see. I would recommend finding another dealership. Coming back to you as you can see below I was contacted by a representative from the dealership. He was more straightforward about the situation. Yes it is normal business practice take a down payment for a vehicle. they did admit on multiple occasions in this situation they should have physically verified the vehicles they had in possession. I contacted them on Monday about the vehicle and they sold it to the dealership across the street that same night. I wish they would have asked how serious I was about the vehicle I could have made them a sale. Overall still upset with the outcome the resolutions department was very friendly to talk to. read more

We found his cell phone behind a plant on the table. The phone was turned on and called to a number. We could hear noise in the background which showed he had called a number at the dealership.
