Many issues with the service department. I have a maintenance contract on my car. Each time I get my oil changed, I also ask for new wiper blades. Each time they can't get them right. I always have to come back and get another pair. They do not check their work. I talked with everyone, including the owner of landmark ford. He said if I'm not happy with my service I could just cancel my maintenance contract. They could care less about providing good service. The issue is there are no good Ford service centers in the Portland area. The only good one is in Canby, which is a drive. read more

These guys are something else. They promise you the world and don't deliver. I bought a 2011 Ford f250 king ranch from them and a couple days later, I noticed some kind of fluid under the truck. They agreed to fix the problem. 4 days later , they said all they had to do is change the oil pan. Needless to say , that wasn't the case . It is in fact the transmission leaking. I have only owned the truck for 2 weeks and have only driven it for 5 days. They have had it in the shop the rest of the time. Very un happy customer. read more

Booo....Landmark, Booo I received a Ford Edge from the fleet company that manages my corporate car assignment. This was a replacement vehicle for one totaled by a deer strike two weeks ago. The Edge I received came out of fleet storage without the outside door code that should have been included with the paperwork associated to the car. So I dropped by the Landmark Ford Service department to see if they had a procedure for resetting the code. Without thinking to just go to YouTube and seek the information for myself.... I found out something disappointing about Landmark. The service advisor told me that without the old code, it is not possible to reprogram the door code....Ford doesn't have it, even with the VIN. It would cost $50 (half hour labor) to "hook it up to a computer" to read the code. I said $5-$10 MAYBE. I laughed and left the building. I found the article and video... In literally 4 minutes I had the old code and reprogrammed a new 5 digit code to my liking. Here's how easy it was. -open the fuse panel near the left brake pedal -read the 5digit code on the affixed white sticker I went back in to inform the service advisor, as I hadn't left the parking lot. Now, first he claimed he didn't know of a a sticker under the panel. Then he said he had heard about the video and article but no one has found it to be successful. Well, which is it? Hadn't heard of it or hadn't heard of it working. Now I know a little more about both my car and how ethical Landmark is. Short of sounding like an 80 year old scolding a child, SHAME ON YOU Landmark courtesy goes a long way and builds trust, $50...HA. read more

About six years ago, I had some horrible experiences with Landmark. A friend, who is a mechanic told me to give them one last chance and I did. In Oct. 2013, we bought a 2014 Taurus. The deal was as quick and smooth as could be. They were fair in their price, and were more than fair on the trade-in. The servicer department has always been good to us. We went back on Dec. 28th (2017) and was looking at a new 2017 Explorer Sport. They did not want to honor all of the discounts that Ford offers, and they insulted us with their trade offer, and the wife isn't insulted easily. There's not a scratch on the Taurus. All work/maintenance is done at their service department, which is great. He told us they don't mark any trade-ins higher than average. We have new tires (about 500 miles), new brakes, and after his silly excuses, I told him to go in the back and pull the service record, and if our car needed ANY work, they would've told us. They offered us a trade that fell near the poor category. There's not even a nick in the wheels, not a scratch in the paint, no tears in the leather, nothing. I don't know from where the old managers, and salesmen went (but they are all gone), but they need to come back. I asked him if he would keep working on where we need to be, and told him I would do the same on my end. In good faith, I texted him later that afternoon and thanked him for his time. He did not even have the common courtesy to respond. This proved to me that my wife was correct in her assessment when she said that he seemed as if he really didn't want to work with us. It's a shame because we were 'HOT' customers, meaning we were wanting to buy. Instead, I felt my intelligence was insulted, and this was on a $52,000++ vehicle. I was going to have a good size down payment. So then we asked him about leasing. He said that the lease was going to actually be a higher payment than buying it. That's really funny because when I got back home I checked several other dealers, just to get an idea. Based on their scenarios, the average payment to buy would be near $600, and the lease was in the area of $450.00. Of the dealers that posted the buy payment versus the lease payment, not one was over, nor were they even close to being the same price. It was after I saw these discrepancies that I decided to post about this. It was such a different and disappointing experience from my previous experience, it was unbelievable. Oh well, I have inquiries out to other dealers. By the way, they have had this vehicle on the lot for more than two months and there were only four miles on it, so it's not like it was one that people were clamoring for. So, do not fall in love with their vehicles, test drive them there and go buy elsewhere. I promised my sales rep I would not go shop them, and I had no intention, but after he didn't respond, and after I saw the Lease payment discrepancy, I no longer owe him that courtesy because he's not keeping his word on working on our issue. read more

This car dealership can vanish in the breeze and everyone will be better off. My friend has a 1976 Ford f250 that has a small ding in the door, his insurance agent directed him to landmark because they have a scratch and dent guy come in every few weeks to handle dings and scratches of the simple variety. Well he asked the guy at the service desk a simple inquiry question about the ding guy and the the service desk guy was extremely rude, directed him to the sales person who claimed "you didn't buy it here I don't want anything to do with it". So rude as well. After dealing with these jackwagons they gave the name and number for the scratch and dent guy... Could have done that from the beginning. Anyways this place sucks and will not see a penny from my friend, his family or me and my family ever again. Piece of advice for landmark and their employees.... Customer service, work on it! You could not pay me to go back to Landmark Ford. First of all, they tried to sell me a car for $2,000 over what it was actually worth. After I told them that and they agreed to lower the price, I had the car for 2 days and the whole thing broke down. Despite their promise that all of their cars are checked prior to purchase. They did fix everything on my car at no cost to me (total $600 worth of damage). But then about 2 weeks later I began to hear a screeching noise when I would brake. I took in the car to Landmark and they told me the brakes were fine. 3 months later my brakes were so bad that both of my calipers had popped as well, therefore meaning that the damage had been there for quite sometime. Landmark refused to fix my brakes and I paid $678 to have them fixed. If you want to get lied to, cheated out of, and walk out with a shitty car, Landmark is the place to go. read more

**BEWARE** we actually bought this car 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 and the experience was a total nightmare! I am sorry to say but this dealership is very shady and as consumers that work hard and do the research before buying a car we still almost had the wool pulled over our eyes! So we bought this car signed all the paperwork and had our first car payment due mid April and there was and still is an issue with the trunk as the button did not work and still has not been fixed. On the paper work they agreed to have this fixed, after 3 weeks the mechanics were unable to find what was wrong with the car? Are they not experienced? One Friday March 22 we went by the lot 3 times 10:30 1 and 2:30 and at either of those times NO ONE was working on our car!! On Wednesday March 27 I went in to speak to Rob and he advised me they had reversed the deal/sale. My husband told him on Monday March 25 if they could not fix the car they would have to take it back but nothing was confirmed or signed off on that this was the decision we were making. So when I spoke to Rob on Wednesday he said they had reversed the deal and paid the loan off. I said you didn't even have my husbands signature we already bought and owned this car and he said well they can not find out what is wrong with it. I said i think the problem is your tired of us complaining that after 3 weeks we don't have our car and we have already lost a month of insurance and have a car payment due here soon. I also stated I feel they didn't want to put anymore money in it to fix the car. And his exact response to me was " i am not putting anymore money in this car as we are upside down in it" Are you SERIOUS!! I stated well you have to fix the car he said they will they have to fly in an engineer to find out what is wrong with it, I asked when that would happen and he said " I don't know". He said but we already sent the check off this morning via overnight (Wednesday 3/27/19) I was so upset because we wanted the car as that is why we purchased it and it came down to they were losing money so they were not standing behind fixing it and without our agreement took the car back. I called the bank on Thursday 3/28/19 and found out once again I was lied to by Landmark as they received the payoff on Tuesday 3/26/19 funny how i was just told the day before by Rob the sales Manager that they just mailed it Wednesday overnight. And to top it off they had the car relisted for sale by the weekend... really your gonna try and sell this to another person what hoping they don't notice the problems? That is just WRONG!! We have since bought another car from the Chevy dealer next door and the staff and experience was OUTSTANDING!! We also found out they were screwing us over on the interest rate. We were told by landmark they could not get us an interest rater lower than 5.25% however the car we just bought our interest is 3.6. Its called back door money they are making money behind the scenes while screwing over their customers. Please be aware when doing business with them, this is not the first time this has happened. While in the middle of this nightmare our Admin Sec advised they bought her daughter a car there and they had it for months same song and dance could not find out what was wrong with it and had to bring in an engineer. Finally after two months took the car to Cross to have it fixed, the ended up paying to months of her car payments but not before the Shop Manger had words on the sales floor mind you with the customer asking " What do you want me to do with the car" Gee I don't know fix it!!! If i could rate this joke of a business, I would rate it in the negatives. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS. I bought a new fusion off them and I have had a laundry list with these people in about every department they have. First off my salesman was jarrod, he was a really nice guy but a complete airhead. It took me 6 hours to close the deal and get approved. Everything was all fine until I get a notice in the mail and an email that my credit was checked 3 times and my score went down 25 points. I found out that finance department didn't get the loan and kept running my wife and my credit 3-4 times until landing the deal. I never received a call to authorize the following credit checks and when I asked him about it he tried to play it off and I told him he was wrong for it all he could say was sorry. 2 months go by and I'm still driving on temporary plates. Ive waited long enough wondering when the real plates were coming in. I then texted the salesmen about the problem...no response from him, I then came into the dealership raising hell until they "misplaced the paperwork" for the DMV to issue plates. I got over that whole ordeal. I come into the lube change to get an oil change until what again more idiots. Both guys that work in the lube department are arrogant and need to take a class on how to talk to customers. After checking in I asked them to wash the vehicle when they were done and they said sure thing. I get the car back and they did not wash it nor replace the sticker in the windshield. I walked back to ask about the sticker, the mechanic was standing with the older salesmen in the lube center cursing when I interrupted them and told them about the car wash and missing sticker, they began to argue with each other with whose fault it was for not doing the work. Another time I brought in my second vehicle a ford escape when I had a coupon for an oil change...so i used it. After getting the oil changed I smelled a burning oil smell from my car and I investigated it. THE OIL FILTER WAS NOT TIGHTENED AND WAS LEAKING OIL!!!! My third and last terrible experience was the new car we bought had hubcaps put on and were rattling every time we would drive. I waited 2 hours the first time I brought it in for them to tell me they ordered the new part and would call me when it came in to schedule a time to have it fixed. I never received a call about the part until I called in to inquire about it. I brought it in and waited another hour to install it. They told me the part was on and fixed. I walked out to the car and what do you know the hubcaps are still rattling!! I walked back in there and told them it was not fixed. The associate looked at the service order and said the order told them the center cap was peeling??? i never once said it was peeling they rattled...BIG DIFFERENCE. After waiting and wasting my entire morning the clown came to me and said the hubcaps are not covered under warranty and would not be replaced. I told them to take it off and I'll fix the car before they ever touch it again. I am definitly going to report them to the BBB and take my business elsewhere. I hope they change the employees up especially the service manager...complete jokes save your time, money, and attitude somewhere else like Bob Ridings or another ford dealership. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! We purchased a new truck from them 2 weeks ago. We gave them all the paperwork they instructed us to bring. We were promised the zero interest for 72 months as we'd seen advertised on tv which is the reason we went there. For the last week someone from their finance dept has been in constant contact needing more documents still working on the loan process. During our communication I wanted to verify that we were still getting the finance offer we had been promised. Then suddenly all communication abruptly stopped. I called the dealership & after being transferred around an excessive amount of times & delivered to many voicemail boxes, I finally was able to reach a manager. I explained my situation & he was the most arrogant, rude, horrible man. Not only was he unwilling to help me but it was like he took pleasure in telling me that he could do nothing for me, then ended up hanging up on me. I've never been treated so disrespectfully & unprofessionally in my life...and this man is a manager! So now I'm stuck with a loan with 21% interest when I traded in a 2 year old vehicle that was paid off. And when I told him I'll return the vehicle I purchased & would like my vehicle back his very sarcastic response was "Never gonna happen" and then laughed & hung up on me. What has happened to customer service??? It certainly doesn't exist at Landmark Ford, that's for sure.Regret doesn't begin to express how I feel about my Landmark Ford experience. I wish I had never walked through their doors. In November 2016 I found a truck to my liking. 2013 chevy 4x4. Somewhat low miles for the year. Got the loan(have had credit problems but they got one) Only 1 key for truck. John McCarthy said he could get me a second key with a fob. Well needless to say it never happened. The stereo started acting up. Kept saying audit input. Was told they would fix it. Never called back and when I called nobody knew anything about it. But they would be happy to fix it for roughly 300 bucks. So radio still acting up and still only one damn key. I'll never go back their again. And people wonder why I always used to stick to GMC or Chevy dealers. Piss poor service for such a big outfit. read more

My car died at Starbucks and one call to Josh at the service department and my car was towed in, diagnosed and quoted for repair well before the expected time and fixed by lunch the next day. They provided a shuttle to get me from the car rental place to the dealership to (that guy is very nice too but I don't remember his name.) Best of all my car is fixed and the final bill was less then the original quote. If I'm ever dead again in this town, where I don't live and I know no anyone, at least I know I can trust some one if my car has any issues. read more

Bought my vehicle more than a year now from Landmark a ton of issues when I purchase the vehicle it was a 2016 Ram 2500 it had a lift leveling kit on the front they talked me into buying a aftermarket warranty to go with my factory warranty so that all my suspension would be covered well that did not work out because I live in St Louis and no dealer here will work on my truck they say the warranty is void so for the past couple months now in the process of selling my aftermarket warranty back to Landmark and they just keep giving me the runaround and now I just have a couple Grand hanging out there in the Wind I never use the warranty so I had to take a prorated amount loss on it and I'm playing hell just trying to get a phone call back to me to talk to a manager if you or anyone you know is looking for vehicle please look at other dealerships between me and my wife we have purchase many new vehicles we have never ever had any kind of experience like I have with landmark just plain terrible. read more

We purchased a vehicle from them on 09/03/15 and it has been a nightmare since. First of all, if they hadn't had a vehicle that I was in love with, I wouldn't have purchased from them in the first place, but they happened to have a used (in my price range) Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, and I was in love with it. The salesman (covered in tattoos) cursed like a sailor and told us he had been to prison for 10 years (also admitting that he went in when he was 15 and served 15 years, I think he likely killed somebody, but that's besides the point). He was pushy, and after EVERY vehicle we looked at that was more expensive than the last, he proceeded to tell us that "this one is the best" "you guys need this" and "that last one is junk" compared to the more expensive ones. We noticed that the jeep had some rust starting up under the hatch, and we addressed this. He said he'd throw in a rust treatment for it, and after signing papers for the vehicle, he informed us that they are not fixing the rust. The next day, the air conditioning went out in the vehicle. Fearful that the car was rigged enough to sell and that we'd run into more issues, we took it back and they told us to exchange it for another vehicle. While we were there, another couple traded in their Hyundai Santa Fe, and the salesman was insistent that we get this vehicle instead. It was filthy from the couple's children spilling food and drinks in the back seat, but they told us we could bring it back for detailing. So, we drove home in this vehicle. The next day, I noticed one of the speakers was blown out (something I did not think to check out while test driving), and because we had a bad experience with the last vehicle, we had purchased a bumper-to-bumper warranty, we called about getting the speaker fixed. The salesman informed us that we're SOL and that speakers are not covered under bumper-to-bumper warranties (even though it was ALREADY broken when they sold it to us). Overall, this was a miserable experience, I was stuck purchasing a vehicle from this joke of a dealership, and it was all for not because I didn't even end up keeping the vehicle that I actually wanted from them. Do yourself a favor and go to Green Hyundai, I've heard nothing but good things about the friendliness of their salesmen and their honesty, I made a huge mistake pulling my car into Landmark! read more

Found a used vehicle I was interested in on their website. I called to make sure it was still in stock before I made the 1.5 hour trip to look at it. Person on the phone told me he walked out and "laid hands on the vehicle" to make sure it was there. Bottom line, I drive 1.5 hours and it was sold the day before. Then no one at the dealership has the balls to admit that they told me that it was in stock when it wasn't. So I wasted a good portion of my day. Thanks. Very disappointed and talk about a nightmare!! My husband and I spent 12 hours between 2 days at this location buying a car and it's been nothing but a mess. They make you feel unworthy of actually going onto the lot to look at cars, but yet will read you available vehicles and bring them up to the door for you to inspect. We were not given any idea on what we were approved for or anything. None of the paperwork was explained to us since they had to have a driver bring the paperwork by for us to sign since they had an issue in the finance department. So after paperwork is signed, we get another phone call saying the contract had been messed up again and we needed to resign. I am not signing anything else. It was a mistake on their part, not mine. I have never had such a terrible car buying experience. I do not recommend them to anybody, and I will definitely not be going back there again. Unless you want to feel like you're a piece of dirt and don't deserve a new car, then this place is for you. Very disgusted with how everything has been handled. My husband and I are discussing on whether we should bring the car back to them and just go elsewhere to where we are appreciated. Negotiated deal for a 2015 Ford Escape with salesmen, After wife signed for SUV purchase, i learned the deal she received was not as promised by the salesman, cost me an additional $3,600. When I called about that was not what we negotiated, the salesman, Mark Underwood, stated it was not his problem, blamed on the Financing person. I feel ripped off. Do not negotiate with floor salesmen, go directly to financing, apparently they have final say, not what the salesmen says they will do. read more

I was extremely disappointed in Landmark Ford. I did not post a review when I first purchased my vehicle 3 years ago because to be honest, I didn't realize how poorly I was treated until just recently when I was treated 150% better at Green Hyundai. Approximately 3 years ago I was desperate for a new vehicle. I did not have a car and I work 2 jobs. My credit at the time was not good. Landmark had been advertising they could help anyone get a car with their 'second chance" option for car buying. I inquired before going out there on whether or not they would be able to help me. I also did not have a down payment or a tradein. They insisted they could help and I took a day off work and had a friend take me. Immediately upon arriving I was given a bit of a run around and finally sent to someone's office to help me. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was polite. However, I was informed that it may take hours to get me approved, my car payments would be high and I probably would not be able to pick out the vehicle. Okay........so in keeping true to what he said...I waited and waited. Fairly certain I was not even offered a drink of water. I was told that the car that whatever loan company would approve may be new or it may be used. He just didn't know. Finally, hours later, I was told they had a vehicle. I went outside to see it and it was a 2007 Cadillac DTS. It was in great condition except for a large crack on the bumper. It only had 32,000 miles on it and it was in good shape. I took it for a test drive and it was fine. It was just much bigger than I wanted and not anything I would ever be able to afford to fix. It came with no guarantees or warranties. Regardless of all the signs all over the dealership saying the opposite. This particular car came with no promises at all. I was told that if I didn't like the car that it might be possible they might be able to find another car but it may be older and with more miles. Basically, take it or leave it. Desperate, I agreed. I was then taken to the finance department where the finance person talked fast and had me sign a bunch of papers and I was treated like a second class car buyer all the way. I was then told that I needed to sign the paperwork for an extended warranty that would cost me $130 a month for 3 years because Cadillac repairs are costly. This of course would be in addition to my $465.00 a month car payment. Oh and despite me advising them I didn't have any money for a down payment, I was required to come up with one and had to give them a post-dated check. Okay....... So my question is - why were they advertising they could help people in my situation only to treat me like a second class car buyer and make me feel like I was not important. The car cost me $19,000. I could have bought a brand new car for less under full warranty. I now know that Landmark was less than honest. They saw me coming and wanted to get rid of a Cadillac on their lot with a huge crack on the bumper and I was their sucker. I think it is so lowdown of this dealership to treat a single woman, that is also an Army Veteran and served 28 years in the military so poorly. If a person is struggling financially and having trouble getting approved for a car loan why on earth would you lie to her and tell her the only car she is approved for is a 2007 Cadillac? Obviously, I could have purchased a brand new car for much less. They only added to my financial problems by selling me an expensive car that was terrible on gas and had expensive repairs. So thank you Landmark for my valuable car buying lesson. I will never go anywhere now but Green Hyundai and I will send all of my friends there. They treated me like I mattered and were so good to me! I love my brand new car! Mr. Quimby was awesome as well as all of their staff! They also honored me by giving me a $500 Veteran discount! 5 Stars for Green Hyundai and a big ZERO for Landmark! read more

After saying that I would NEVER buy a car in Springfield again, I buckled this last December and bought a 2010 Ford Fusion from Landmark. The entire day I was told how much they take pride in their dealership and that customer happiness is their 1st concern.....really?? The 1st time my car needed the oil changed I called to make an appt. since I live an hour from Springfield and do not work in Springfield and was told by the service manager that an appt. for an oil change was not necessary that all I needed to do was drive in their service bay, they would take the car and change the oil and send me on my way. Let me just say that, that was the 1st lie they told me and it hasn't gotten any better. I took time off work to take my car in one morning early......set FOREVER, even walked over to Meijers and shopped for awhile, came back and set some more. 2nd time I took it in for an oil change I decided to go a little later in the morning (after the rush) set in their waiting room AGAIN until I finally had their shuttle take me to the mall to shop and pick me up when they FINALLY finished several hours later. Today, I again took time off work to take my car up for an oil change and at 2:15 in the afternoon was told that their guys get off work at 4:30 and they didn't have time to do my oil change!!!! Seems like all they are worried about at Landmark Ford is getting a persons money and FORGET the customer service!! P.S. While the manager at the desk is telling me they don't have time to do my oil change, I can see 2 technicians back in the work area "wrestling" around with each other.....guess they were just too busy??!! read more

Last night I went to Landmark Ford to test drive a vehicle. I own a 10 year old Ford Taurus with over 150K miles on it and am ready for a new car. I brag on my Ford all the time. It has been great..........10 years and incredibly reliable. I have had the usual oil changes, one battery change, and routine tires, and maybe one set of brake pads. So I highly recommend a Ford. I would NOT recommend Landmark Ford, however. I am used to handing over my driver's license and proof of insurance for a dealer to copy while getting plates and keys to test drive a vehicle. What I was not expecting was a Xerox copy of Landmark Ford's "Disclosure Statement" that I was expected to sign before I would be given permission to test drive a vehicle. The salesman explained that it is now their current policy to protect themselves if I wreck or steal their car. Now being a 55 year old grandmother, I realize how suspicious I must have looked. And considering it was the most expensive vehicle in their lot, a Ford Fusion, (ahem, yes sarcasm) they must have been quite worried. I looked at the salesman and said "Seriously"? And I politely walked out. Today I called the sales manager to express my opinion at their very poor customer service 'policy'. I am only one little ant on the anthill, one vote, but I believe this is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard in awhile. If you cannot trust my driver's license AND my proof of insurance (with a 24 hour phone number available), and you consider me a dishonest customer from the get-go, then what point is my signature?
