This cemetery is located on 72nd Avenue in Hollywood in a quiet residential neighborhood between Stirling Road and Sheridan Street. Hollywood Memorial Gardens North offers ground burial, an infant section, and outdoor mausoleum crypts. The cemetery is very peaceful. There are beautiful trees and the grounds are well maintained. Most of the graves have flat markers that lie directly on the ground. Statues and other ornamentation are minimal. I saw a number of WWII veterans as well as military personal from other wars. There is the main room for the viewing but they also have have large side living room areas for people who may may want to step out of the main room. This was also great for some of the youngest family members. The next day when my father-in-law was taken to the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, he was personally driven there by Patricia Ralph. She was able to speak to the cemetery to get a special exception to allow the family to see the casket lowered into the ground. It is not something they normally allow and it was very appreciated.
