Upon completing the forms, digitally with digital signature , as the forms instructed. Upon emailing the completed forms, Jack called me to tell me "you need to do better" and argued with me on the digital signature provided, again as the form instructed. I was then instructed that the forms needed to be filled out in pen and ink, scanned and emailed. I was also instructed that the Broward Country release form needed to be sent to the address at the bottom of that from. Again, I complied with Jack's request. Jack then called me to yell at me for sending the form to Broward when my father was not yet deceased, which he already knew from our previous conversations. He then proceeded to accuse me of lying that I told him that my father was here and then there, deceased and then not deceased. The best party of my experince with this company and man came when he said they would refuse their serices to me and my family./ Beware as this man and the organization, he gets confused easily and then attempts to berate belittle and blame you when you follow his instructions.

In April, my husband suddenly died. He worked that day, was hanging out at home with me at night -…read moredidn't complain of any physical discomfort - but just died. The police - who were nothing short of wonderful: empathetic, respectful, caring, considerate and professional - asked if I had a funeral home to call. Are you kidding? Up until a short while ago my furthest thought was, who's our funeral home? We're not old people. Someone mentioned TM Ralph (paramedic? police?) and I recalled that every year we go to a city picnic to benefit the volunteer firefighters. And every year TM Ralph sponsors the event printing, etc. I know them. I like them. Sure, I want to use TM Ralph. And that reflexive decision turned out to be one of the best things ever. Even when the guys took Michael's body, they stopped - both when they arrived and left - to announce their condolances. I was in complete shock but still was touched by the genuineness of how one of the guys said it. He really meant it. He looked me directly in the eye. It would have been easier to get the body and leave but he didn't. I was very impressed. The next day, with Mom in tow, I met with Patty and made arrangements. Michael didn't want a funeral or memorial - he just wanted to be cremated and scattered in the water. Patty and Cathy Ralph are some of the proud children of TM Ralph's founders. They are each special because they deftly touch the most vulnerable. When people feel that the floor beneath them has given way, when walking seems impossible without a platform, the sisters are both caring. I never expected to be a widow. Especially at this age. I didn't know what I was doing and Patty went through a whole packet of info with me (giving it to me to take once my brain kicked back in). Because of her I knew to go to the Social Security Administration to solicit a one time $255 death benefit. Patty even provided suggestions about boat rentals for ash scatterings. Because of Cathy, I was able to lift pain from my heart with her help to sort through it. She kept me abreast of the status of the death certificate. They were wonderful. And so was Sam. He kept me aware of the ash cannister delivery ( I selected one they had to order). I enjoyed our heartfelt discussion about life and death. Within 3 days of Michael's death, one of his brothers was diagnosed with cancer that needed immediate surgery. The entire family was coming to FL. The trip was cancelled until everyone is healthy to unite. So TM Ralph worked with me to send special smaller ash canisters to the family so they could scatter Michael from the Puget to Jersey Shore. (Yes, I actually asked them if they could put Michael in a bucket - like chicken - a leg and wing here, etc. and to my shock they say they do that.) Every living thing dies. It doesn't matter what kills the living things. If one thing doesn't another will. Why Michael's heart gave out now I don't know. His health had been improving for a long time. It was just his time. I keep telling myself. But when people die, especially the most important people in our lives, we need to know where to turn. I can tell you from experience that TM Ralph will help carry the burden and lighten your load.

They blessed us with the opportunity to have a private viewing with our son, and it is a moment we will hold in our hearts forever. Seeing him one last time brought us such comfort and peace. Their care, patience, and genuine compassion made an unimaginable loss a little easier to carry. The funeral home itself is beautiful, peaceful, and filled with warmth. I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company. I signed a contract for funeral…read moreservices but decided to cancel within the 30-day cancellation period. I was instructed to bring in a written cancellation letter with a wet signature, which I personally delivered on May 8th. I met with Bryant, who accepted the letter and assured me that my refund would be returned to the credit card I originally used for payment. I fulfilled everything required on my end. Seven days after submitting the letter, I still had no response -- no emails, no calls, and no refund. I contacted their office multiple times and received no answers. I texted KerryAnn and Sergio,, who were all very responsive when selling me the service, but suddenly disappeared once it came time to process the cancellation. On Monday, May 18th, I finally reached Bryant, who then changed the story and told me I would receive a paper check within two weeks instead of a refund back to my card. Why should I have to chase people just to get my own money back? He also said he would call me back to see if their office could still refund the money directly to my credit card -- of course, he never called back. I called again on May 20th, and once again no one could help me except the receptionist, Daphny, who had no answers. They are playing with people's emotions during an already difficult time. This is not a pair of shoes I purchased -- these are funeral services tied to emotional and financial stress. I truly feel that once I decided to go with another company that was significantly more affordable, they simply stopped caring. Now I've been left with no choice but to contact my bank and attempt a chargeback for the funds withdrawn from my checking account, and I still don't know how long that process will take. This experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Please be careful before doing business with them.

But Forest Lawn Funeral Home made all the arrangements easy. Joanna and Deidre were very helpful and kind. You may have seen their big pyramid from I-595 it's really a beautiful place, elegant and professional . We had one issue that needed to be addressed: I was shocked when I walked into the service, there were tall tables of Sports Displays at both ends of the coffin??? With a stuffed doll, a basketball , trading cards etc?? My friend, the mother said What is all this junk? We were in shock but late at arriving so there was nothing that I could do to have them removed. The sports displays might've been appropriate for a child, even a young teen. But not for a 30yr old. There was another display in the lobby, with basketball keychains- great if it were a 8yr olds birthday. It looked really tacky for a man's funeral. We were never asked if this was something that we needed because the answer would have been NO!! It looked tacky and out of place. The following day The funeral home called to follow up. And I told them my dismay - they apologized. But it's not something that you can undo. I did thank them for all their kindness and making the event easy, when it was such a terrible situation and untimely death.
