To go in the bathroom open the bathroom door you had to stand on the side of the toilet close the bathroom door to be able to sit on the toilet, terrible set up. I don't know how this place was given five stars but now knowing that area, I would either stay at the Hampton Inn or drive 30 minutes to a Marriott. There is no good place for food around there and the hotel didn't have anything. I will never stay at the hotel again.

They have small conditioners and shampoos and so that is always great. My room has a microwave and refrigerator (better than SUITE TIER of rooms at the Crowne Plaza in Louisville. One only receives these amenities with the Presidential suite.) The one item they did not have so far, but I was looking for was a business center. The gal did not exactly know what I was referring to. I just stated "a room with a computer and a printer, a place where someone could print out a boarding pass." Then I thought to myself "Who the hell is flying out of Pikeville?" I heard they also give breakfast. If they do, they beat out both Hilton Garden Inns and Courtyards by Marriott. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/4 My stay was completed on this date. Other inconsistences: Which brings me to one point and I have seen this before at a hotel in Abingdon, VA at their Red Roof Inn. People are stealing irons. Make sure that irons are only given out on an ask basis and tell the customer to bring it back at checkout. The toilet paper in the bathroom is all the way on the ground. Easier to pull it off and use it. Breakfast: YES! They had a complimentary breakfast. I was trying to make hot chocolate in the morning, BUT the hot water spigot on the coffee machine did not work and so i had to resort to mixing hot chocolate with the coffee already made. The breakfast options were somewhat limited on hot foods (omlette (sp?) prepared egg, biscuit, sausage, and gravy). The rest of the foods were premade baked breakfast items like doughnuts, cereal, etc. Oh...no where in any of the items did I see milk. For beverages, they offered these airline cups (those plastic circular containers that have foil on them and one peels them back to drink. One always gets them with their Economy Class meals): orange juice, apple juice, and grape juice O_o (in the morning?). Suggestion to improve aesthetics: Front doors to this hotel are not sliding doors. The hotel's name on the outside is Brookeshire Inn above the entrance and then "hotel" down the side of the building. This is kind of misleading. The name is Brookshire Inn & Suites. So maybe put "& Suites" instead? Customer service: I found that the t.v. signal dropped in the middle of the night and I still could not get anything in the morning. This is an inconvenience! Room 110! Some attractive ginger head (red head?), who reminded me of a coworker (she ended up getting fired because she had shown up under the influence multiple times and would always mess up things always being too ahead over herself when doing things) was cleaning out my room when I was out and about. I ended up coming back and walking back into the room and she was like "Wait, this is your room?" I was like "Yeah, I will probably be checking out soon. Did you see anything of mine?" Then she responded with "Like what? Well, I was just changing dirty towels and sheets....Did you need me to close this door?" It was definitely an awkward encounter, but yeah...the maid service (read that again...MAID service...that's horrible..anyway) sign was not on the door and I HAD NOT CHECKED OUT YET! Wait until customers check out before cleaning out the rooms!

If you need a decent, clean bed and a shower, it is comfortable. The clerk was friendly and respectful. It was a non-smoking room but it did smell like someone had smoked in there. The complimentary soaps weren't the best. No coffee pot, but there is a fridge and a microwave. Air conditioning worked well. If you're passing through, it's not a bad spot.

This not a run down dive, though the stench if cigarettes blows in from the heater vents. Though right above HWY 23, it's reasonably quiet. Had a great night's rest. The reason I gave 1 star is The owner "claims" to understand the ADA and about Service Animals but…read moresadly has no clue and refuses to listen to or learn about what the U.S. law is and how it protects Service Animals and their handler. She's confused the AKC Canine Good Citizen and the Americans with Disabilities Act Task trained Service Animals. One has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER. But she believes she's correct t and all Real Service Dogs MUST have the ID card like she has to make it a "Real Service Animal" I've told her their are NO real SA ID cards she said I was lying. I've tried renting from her motel twice both times I walked away because I'm not paying deposits cleaning charges because I had my Trained Service Animal traveling with me. I now live in the area and I'm going to make it my mission to speak out about this Motel and her discrimination against me and my disability and need for a Service Animal. The owner needs to learn the law and then teach the law to her employees. Because the AKC and the ADA are NOT THE SAME!!! My SA has flown n over 100k in airline miles with me NEVER EVER have I had any issues. This is animal discrimination they are both large. One is a SA the the other is a SAiT both are over 100 lbs.
