Friendly staff, clean room. A pod coffee machine was in our room and pods were provided. No breakfast buffet provided and no AM coffee in the lobby. The Mexican restaurant on the 4th floor is highly recommended. I enjoyed a big, delicious margarita with a pork and green chile dish accompanied by rice and beans. The pork was outstanding, similar to the Mexican food available in the Southwest. Chips and salsa were good too. Don't miss this restaurant if you're staying here. read more

This was a cheap place to stay however, I would rather drive 30 minutes to stay in a Marriott. It was dirty. It was stinky and the bathroom door was absolutely horrible in the bathroom. To go in the bathroom open the bathroom door you had to stand on the side of the toilet close the bathroom door to be able to sit on the toilet, terrible set up. I don't know how this place was given five stars but now knowing that area, I would either stay at the Hampton Inn or drive 30 minutes to a Marriott. There is no good place for food around there and the hotel didn't have anything. I will never stay at the hotel again. read more

What a fantastic find in this little community of Pikeville. I took a chance from the previous pictures that the room was updated and when I got to the front desk everything's a little older, but it's very clean and the front desk guy was super nice. Check-in was a breeze and I was right in my room which, as you could tell by my pictures was really nice, I am very glad that I picked this hotel for the night. Some of the rooms have balconies. This one has a mini fridge and a microwave. The heat was on the room was warm as it was very cold outside. I'll be asleep in no time... read more

We stay at this hotel often. It's conveniently located to downtown Pikeville and the price is great. It's NOT a luxury hotel but it's clean and comfortable. There is a DELICIOUS Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel, located on the 4th floor. This will continue to be our go to hotel in town. read more

Just ok. Old, very old - pipe coming down in the bathroom, tv takes 2 remotes to work, bathroom was well below acceptable - so small you had to scoot between the toilet & wall to close the door. Parking was totally unacceptable - due to the restaurant above we had to drive around the lot 5 times waiting for a spot. Just overall thought - pay a little more and go to a name-brand, newer hotel. read more

This is basically a motel from the 50's. Pros: Thankfully rooms have been updated with tasteful, clean furniture and carpets. The TV is high quality. Plenty of charging slots available in the room. Free WiFi. In room safe. In room coffee maker. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Cons: All rooms open to outdoors, not an indoor hallway. Lots of traffic noise. Can hear all ambient noise from neighboring rooms. The outside structure and facade still needs some work with rust and peeling paint on stairs. The breakfast is basically a pot of coffee, gas station muffins, and cereal. If you want hot water they ask you to use the microwave. No computer/printer available for you to print boarding passes or documents. No gym. Close to restaurants. Summary: But for the price of $59-79 per night, you get what you pay for. Good for personal/leisure travel without any hotel amenities. Not recommended for the business traveler. read more

Older hotel but clean and comfortable with EXCELLENT Mexican Restaurant on 4th floor. No work out room or breakfast but Keurig coffee pot in room (can bring some with you!). Great central location with plenty of nearby fast food restaurants and the only in town wine/liquor store. Not as new and modern as the Hampton Inn but much less expensive. On our way to visit Loretta Lynn's Homestead. Spend the night here. Lovely Mexican restaurant on property but the rooms are average. Cute, twinky front desk clerk, perhaps a bit snarky, but so was I when I was cute and twinky myself and gravity hadn't taken a toll on my perky bottom side. The room, oh the room. Smelled of someone's underarms. We ended up in an adjoining room and were (un)pleasantly entertained the whole night by our neighbour calling what seemed to be every citizen of her hometown letting them know of her medical conditions. The bed was comfortable and the shower a delight, though oddly the shower head was on the opposite wall from the spigot. If we were to find ourselves in Pikeville, I would hope we find better accommodations elsewhere. read more

Horrible night got there after midnight tv didn't work ,chain on the door was broken nothing has been done to rooms in 40 years was not informed of construction going on in hotel was woke up at 6 AM to constant hammering concrete drilling . Was pretty much told bye the front desk oh well read more

Full disclosure, the outside is scary. Parts of the building and stairs are just falling apart and look like a death trap. The parking lot isn't well lit at night either. However, you can't beat the view of the mountains, and the rooms do look like they've been updated at least somewhat recently. The price was right as well since there aren't many options in this range available. Water in the shower took awhile to warm up and the TV remote had a mind of its own. Overall, it's an alright place to stay. I might stay here again if I'm in the area. If they finished outdoor renovations and added a few more touches, this could easily go up a star or even two. read more

Quite possibly the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in. My fiancé and I were set up to stay here for the entire month of June while he worked at the Medical Center. Because we live a few hours away, we decided to go home to Lexington for one of the weekends (disclaimer: the maids saw us leave with our luggage), only to return to see that our hotel room had been broken into and completely ransacked. The front door was wide open, and the room was completely trashed. Luckily, we knew better than to leave anything in the room while we were gone, but the management's utter disregard for our concern over the security was shocking. Do not stay here. Definitely DO NOT leave anything in your room if you are not in it! read more

Comfortable beds quiet rooms but the water doesn't get very hot, warm yes hot no. And there's so much pressure you don't need to use the tiny soap bars they give you, it's like showering under a pressure washer read more

I wish that I could have given a 20 star for the manager, staff and employees. My wife had severe neck surgery and they accommodated her in every way possible. I stayed at Landmark in June. When I checked in the lady at the front desk was extremely rude. She kept answering her cell phone and texting, charged me for my 2 year old being in there with me. The restaurant they advertised was not open, the bathroom door opened giving less than half an inch between the toilet and door. The WiFi that they had posted all around the room wouldn't connect and when I called the lady pretty much told me that I was out of luck. The pool wasn't open and no one had an answer as to why. The room had a door to the adjacent room, but they had blocked it half way off with an armoire, which had me confused. The rooms were updated, all except the ceilings. Check out was the best thing about staying there, the gentleman who helped me when I checked out was very helpful and apologized for the previous evenings events. But I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Wonderful food. Great service! My steak was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were fantastic.

First impressions mean a lot. Most reviews on this hotel were fabulous, the pictures used were beautiful, and our expectations were high. That's where the goodness ends. When we arrived, we were expecting some renovations, but there were multiple places fenced off, making simple driving through the parking lot a nightmare. There is only one cart to the hotel for luggage and took a while to find. Due to the construction, it was exceptionally difficult to get the cart to my car and back to my room. Once we were finally settled in the room, our "kitchenette" was a hidden mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine that had grounds all around it. Within an hour of being there, without flushing any toilet paper, the toilet flooded the entire bathroom, leaking into the actual room and even leaking through the wall to the walkway balcony outside. When we called for service, there was no one here that could actually help and only the guy at the front desk was able to help us AFTER he got off the clock. The bathroom wasn't cleaned, just dried up with us being told to call the front desk in the morning about it (he left a note for them as well). When nor in came, at around 9 AM, we called the front desk who calmly told us the cleanup people would get to us in a bit. No one showed up in over 4 hours. The carpet was soaked and spreading. When a cleanup lady finally showed up, she blamed us for the flood and did nothing but wipe down the bathroom and left the carpets soaked. Then, to break the ice, someone reported us as being over capacity. It is a 4 man room, with 2 full beds. Our troupe consisted of me, my wife, a 6-year old, a 2-year old, and a 5-month old. Hotels, as a general rule, do not count infants as a person for room count, seeing they do not take up a bed space. Overall, just after spending one night here, my family and I are very unsatisfied with this hotel. While the restaurant, bar, and nightclub may be excellent (I have not ventured that fat yet), the hotel itself is a failure. read more
